This App is great, good info and timely alerts. One request- please add an option for notifications for X-class flares and up, to cut down on the number of notifications. Some users dont care to hear about minor solar events. Thanks
I love this app and use it daily since I am a short wave/ amature radio enthusiast. Can you add a graph similar to the Kp index on the Auroral Activity page for the estimated planetary Ap index? I find this on WWV's geophysical alert page, but it would be nice to have it in your app also. Thanks so much!
Great app, funnels info from the SWPC but in a more digestable format. I wish there were more statistics available for the different type of sunspots. I want to know if certain spots are rare or active.
I really like this app for aurora forecast/observation, but it seems that even though I have unchecked boxes for solar activity push notifications, I am still getting them. Would be awesome if this could be fixed.
Great app for space weather and solar activity. Could use some adjustments to the UI and use less RAM memory??
Absolutely recommend this app! Very important we maintain our channels of weather information open and available to our tax payers.
The information on this app is really useful. It might be nice to make sure all data is timestamped ( UTC not local). I am not sure why the magnetometer page was split up, but it would be nice to have the old version of the page with a UTC timestamps and all magnetometer data is in 24 hr or 3 day (GOES) so we can easily compare data in one scrolling screenshot. THANK YOU FOR YOUR APP!!!!
Among the most comprehensive space weather apps out there. Not a personal favorite -I do use it- (but) that's because it's WAY beyond novice levels of understanding. For space researcher -or at least an acolyte- I'm sure it is great to have this much detailed information. For "kids & family" aurora watcher, the summary info could be presented with better data reduction/simplification. But maybe that's not really the target audience. It's an impressive, comprehensive compilation: That is for sure
Finally a decent competitor to the Stellar North Space Weather app, which used to be good but now constantly crashes. SpaceWeatherLive is great, has almost all the same features, but also has CME warnings. Push notifications work! Would like to see the ability to tune the level of storms and KP index changes that trigger notification, please.
As an amateur astronomer who presents planetarium content for students, i was really looking forward to this app. Solar weather is part of our planetarium program and having up to date info right on my phone would be very helpful. Unfortunately i can't get anything to load on the app or on the SpaceWeatherLive website. None of my other sites or apps are having issues, so i can only assume the issue is on their end. If they can get it working reliably, i would love to give it another try.
Terribly slow. Rarely opens to the notification I select.
Great app EXCEPT way too many notifications of past events. Probably want you to open app for more advertizing revenue but it is annoying. I do not need alerts about events from days ago. A tighter user control of notifications would be awesome.
If you are interested in astronomy and nuclear physics (which is a part of my very dull and mundane job) this app reminds me of the reason that I got interested in nuclear physics. Great visuals, up to date and very very informative indeed. P.s. hardly any ads..... Not being bombarded with daft ads exploding onto my screen and proceeding to blurt ship at me for as long as 30 seconds with either magic cream, or trailers for shows nonsense about ancient aliens etc. (Always a pleasant feeling)
Very useful information!! Recommend.
I love all the features that have been packed into this app & being an Auasie I'm so happy that the Southern Hemisphere has been included!! One critique I'd make is giving more options to the notifications such as, being able to select which things you want to be notified of (maybe you only want to know if there's a CME &geostorm ¬ the other stuff) & which hemisphere you need notifications for as no use having an aurora alert in the middle of the day lol.
This is a very handy app for determining whether it's worth setting up a solar scope (w/Baader white filter). Likewise, it aids in finding sunspots difficult to see on first blush, especially when using a solar binocular. The app's images are good and helpful in resolving especially small spots. And it identifies the sunspot, should that be valuable data for a log entry. Admittedly, the app offers far more data than my simple purposes require.
Very current solar warnings based on whether you live in northern or southern hemisphere. It's amazing that sometimes you have 3 days warning and other times 3 hours depending on the type of solar activity. I live at altitude near the equator, so I'm no sure how to interpolate the info in my case.
Thanks a lot for the ultra fast response and fixing the home tab language glitch within hours after letting you know about it! Do you guys ever rest? It's Sunday, you know?! Now there's no way to give you less than 5 stars for it. Oh, right, aurora oval map also seems to be all new and working very well. Looks like I missed the moment it was redesigned. A great app, very helpful for getting up-to-date aurora data, alerts and forecasts straight to your phone.
This app has seemingly out of nowhere begun using unreasonable amounts of data per month. 10 times what it once used. I have not changed my settings. I only use it for the notifications that I have set and open it less than once per 30 day timeframe.
Excellent app. To other or any reviewers. If you cannot get to a web site the issue is likely you not the provider. What us with these reviews where they cannoy open the app. Its a shame about the ads. Is it a lot of work to add in the paywall which gives option to disable all ads?
Great app, shame about the 10% screen goodle adverts. So there's now an option to remove adds! Sorted, my bad, I had my payment details out of date with the store. 89p per month is doable. The icing on the cake would be a full screen mode where the top banner goes away.
Great app. The recent upgrade has a few text problems. The solar spot text and the solar flux text and maybe a few others are in dark gray which makes it very difficult to read. REVISED: All fixed. Thanks π.
Great Job! Such interesting and important information. Been following you and your app for a year. I love how you added maps to shoe what regions would be affected. Perfect for space and geographic nerds. Thank you for your hard work. Blessings to you and your team! β€ from πΊπ² also.. if you offer training in how to interpret or predict please let me know. I anticipate continuing support for your work !
I am absolutely very obsessed and FASCINATED with this app for checking all the different phases of the Moon and also when it's due to be a full Moon again. (I couldn't believe it already had a Moon phase calendar built into the app itself.) And the Sun at the same time. I really like to check how many Sunspots are on the Sun. Or if i get to see any of the eruptions in the future.
App does not function at all. Even the web browser doesn't connect to their site. Complete dud. Alternative products work great. I assumed they must have shut down, but their site works fine on pc and mac.
Great job, it does exactly what is required. Thanks a lot!
"Invalid SSL Certificate" keeps getting displayed in a message that overlays the app. I selected night mode, but the app looks the same. I'll stick with the Web site. The app doesn't seem to load data right with the SSL error.
Newest update is fantastic! All the data and clear explanations. This app keeps getting better and easier. What you need to view space weather. Impressive.
Incredible app. Nothing else available like it. Presents all the key solar data available and includes brilliant explanations and guides to interpreting it. A fantastic resource for anyone interested in solar weather/astronomy. I just bought a new h-alpha solar scope and I can't see myself observing without this app open at the same time. Can't recommend it enough. It would even give you an early warning if theres a globally catastrophic solar event arriving, but let's hope that's not the case.
