Good overall, however the partner AI seems to have changed this last update. The partner will often screw you over when you bid Nil, playing a lower suit card when they have something higher to cover what you played, or not playing a spade (when they are already broken) when they could to prevent you from taking the trick.

In EVERY spades game in Google play store the AI CHEAT!! Not following suit, I tried but the developers and programmers dont care what they teach any kids that mite play it! Ive asked all to fix it and not one response. Your babies, you decide! Youve gone from AI not playing rite to visiting players not getting cards that are any good. Your AI gets virtually all or majority of spades not to mention higher cards leaving the rest with garbage! Cant it just be fair?

Best vs computer spades yet. Needs improvement in logic when computer partner covers my nil. Leads low trump, wastes high trump and fails to trump when opponent leads low off suit.

I like when the lights dim when the suit is played. I also like these: undo button, puting names in, hint button, double nil, being able to switch to the highest card to the lowest one & can get help if you need it. Plus updates to make the game better. I love playing Spades. Thank you NeuralPlay, for your game. I have no plans of getting another Spades, thats how much I like your game. Your bidding is good at times, except when I bid, I usually get a nil; it's the same way with my partner.

AI partner plays like a real partner. AI Factory version it almost seemed like I was playing cutthroat. Which, by the way, neuralplay gives the option-nice! Some of the settings for game play makes winning a challenging. Just what is needed in a game. And, the developers customer support service is great!

The best spades game! Ads play about every other hand so it's tolerable. Sometimes it seems like the computer goes out of its way to give me a bag but.... LOVE THE REPLAY HAND OPTION. It's fun to play the same hand again and try to make your bid the second time. Sometimes you make a mistake so it's great to have a second chance..Good game!!

Much better bidding by partner and opponents than other apps. Also the ads are not convoluted 30 second nonsense... just 5 seconds (on an Ad, you'll know if you are interested in the offering within 5 seconds.) (update: I'm a bit concerned when my computer partner bids Nil with a barely protected Ace. Who would do that? And this happens at the beginning of a game, not a desperate grasp at saving a losing game...)

I would really like to be able to give this game a better rating but the AI partner is a complete moron. He consistently plays poorly. Example. First club played I play the king he takes it with an ace. He then leads with the three of clubs. He cannot successfully do a nil bid. And when I bid nil, it seems like he's out to make me take a trick. On the plus side, this is the first spades game I played on my tablet where I didn't think the algorithm was fixed to make the AI opponents win.

The ads are too annoying back in 2016 I gave a review of 5 stars. I have since updated to 1 star. The ads are not the only problem with this version of spades, nothing works right it's like there was no unit testing done the "hint" feature no longer works, and you use to be able to go for blinds and get 200 points of you get it. Why have those features if you can't make them work? Please test your product? Thanks.

Good spades game, ads frequency isn't insane. Customizable UI and AI, make it as challenging as you like. Was good to help teach a few friends to play so we could play together for a few games.

Had I rated this last year, the free version would have rated a 4 or 5. Now the ads run between every hand and it is frustrating. I did figure out that it makes for a better game by closing the game between hands and reopening it.

Game interface is great. Ai is so so. The solo style is best for a challenge because it's basically 3 ai against one. Adding an option to play real people would be great, but I love how many options there are on the app.

Always the partner. My AI partner plays like an idiot: dropping his King of spades when it has two lower Spades in its hand and the Ace of spades was still out there and the opponent was yet to play in that round. But when I choose Solo game, all of them seem to be playing at their peak. Free game, stupid algorithm

New review, reply below no longer applies. Given that the number of hands in a deck is over 600 billion it's a surprise to see several duplicates after only 10 days of playing. There are clearly a very limited number of preset hands which is a major minus point. The AI play is also so questionable that playing with a partner becomes a liability (although the opponents are equally as dumb).

Partner can sometimes make very questionable decisions, even at higher difficulty levels (where I'd assume all bots play at greater strength). But bot programming can be difficult and generally is quite sane. Good luck at levels 5 & 6!

Very good but very difficult at higher levels. I would like to see statistics showing the odds of a human player winning at various levels playing against 3 computer players.

Worst ai possible. Gets 5 bags in one hand. Its 3 ai against 1 human player even when playing teams. Opponents bid nil with hands that would not be possible to not catch a trick and your ai teammate will take a 5th bag just to make sure the opponent wins against you. Or ai on your team will bid 5 on a 2 at best hand. So you end up playing like a retard trying to keep him from setting you or watch him help the other team. When the total bid is 5 between 4 people..what a joke of a game.

It's good. I like the range of options. But the AI doesn't mimic human players on nil bids. You get aces or jokers every hand, preventing a nil bid. If you bid nil, the AI comes after you like the Terminator. The AI players throw obscenely low cards that no human player would throw. Human players don't typically bother to set up nil players. It doesn't do that when an AI player bids nil. I've tested this flaw on multiple games and accurately predicted the AI's first move based upon my hand.

Quality A.I. , extensive options to customize rules variations, user interface, background image, etc. Runs smoothly. This is a well-made app!

So far it is fun. I hope my ai partner learns not to take tricks from me. But, I really enjoy it as there are multiple ways to tweak your game into really something you can enjoy. The graphics are awesome. Sherriebgood

Very Happy with the app. Highly customizable, lots of options. Wish I could get it on Windows 10 so I could play this version of spades on my computer too

Good game, ads minimal, good challenge, graphics a little old school, if you like spades then this is it.

NeuralPlay makes excellent versions of AI driven card game classics. I enjoy every one I have played so far. I have played Spades for almost 60 years and I think the AI thinks very well in this game.

The bots are terrible partners. East and West always get the better cards. Very disappointing because their bridge app is decent.
