Spades Free

I can't play this game. The ad for wodoku will not stop and prevents me from playing spades. When I was able to play, the ads were long and repetitive. Why do advertisers think that forcing you to watch the same ad over and over will make you want to buy their product or game? The reply from the developer was helpful. Now I know the fast forward disappears but can still be used I will load the app again. Thanks.

I have played this game with various AI's. When I play them As an an opponent they play incredibly well. However, when I chose any one of them to be my partners they play less skilled. For example: I bid a Nil as does the other team and he says 'when have you ever seen 2 Nils bid"? And then as the card I passed him (which was a King of spades; my partner holds on to it and let's me lose the game by playing a card that did not help me and cost us the hand and any chance at winning.

I read through a lot of the comments, many are having the same experience, the AI partner throws a low card, and sets the nil hand, how do I know? after being set, I simply play the same suit, and the AI partner has a higher card! This happens again and again. Also the random deal? its not random there is no way to keep getting multiple 1 high trick hand with only two in that suit, so you cant bid nil! also on the nil bid the AI opponent constantly leads or next hand plays my risky suit. So that is why folks are saying rigged game!

Updating again the game is now going to black screen. I go out of it and still blank when I open again I'm updating my review. It seems better but freezes still. I have to restart my phone to play. I'll check for updates... This game is no longer fair or fun. Was my favorite game for a long time. Changes and updates have made it too frustrating to play. Also, certain ads that show at the bottom of the screen cause the cards to hesitate and game will freeze. It really isn't fun to play anymore.

It's a well done, solid app. The ads are not the bad kind, which is great. I just have one complaint about my supposedly 5 star partner. He knows I'm going for nil, yet he plays a low card and doesn't take the trick when West leads low. Come on, Don. Thanks a lot!

Frustrating bot partner plays 2 or 3 hands correctly then turns into a total moron and plays to lose. I don't understand why when there's no incentive for the developer to cheat players. If you bid nil why would you pass a jack of spades with a 3 of hearts while holding a 10 of a spades or ace of clubs etc. Doesn't trump when they can and let you take a trick on nil bids.

I've been playing this app for awhile. One day last week, the game completely froze up and after shutting off my device several times, it goes back to the same screen, and won't move no matter what you do.

I love this game! The computer players have their unique personalities, expressions, and sets of speech bubbles. None of them bid blind nil. Sometimes when I touch the play button on the main screen, I get kicked out of the app.

Constantly the ai sets us. And it had the cards so that it didn't have to. Example the ai bids nil and plays an ace when it had a lower card. It isn't even close to good play. I wish it had the option for single player because I do enjoy the board. I have played enough to know for sure I am stating the truth. Better board I have not seen. Better play I have. Just set me by playing a two of spades when I went nil. And it had a jack of spades. And ai had all it's points.

Honestly, fun game now i paid the 5$. All this complaining about ads, is just people wanting something for nothing and that doesn't exist anywhere in life. If your going to enjoy it way more without them then... I also dont get all the issues with the bots. They don't play perfectly but either do real players, its kinda an adapt and try different ways to work with them. I think its a smooth running game, quick play and challenging yet winnable. Good game for me.

this the best spades game that I found there's not ads after every session. it took me a while to get used to the scoring system on this for the layout I guess but all in all this is the best foods game I have found thank you for this game.

The computer players, even at the highest level available, are constantly making ridiculous mistakes. Holding onto an Ace and letting opponent's King walk on the first book of the suit; Throwing away high spades and ruining bids. They play like they are intentionally making bad decisions, and it makes the game more frustrating than enjoyable. I'm done with this app. Who programed the players? Why would they intentionally sabotage their hands??

This Is Rigged We Always Lose !!! The Computer Wins Each Time ! Shame On You People ! I Like That There Are No Ads But If You Always Loose... Whats The Fun In That! Well I Am Playing More Games And Finally Won Once But Thsts It. And My Partner Is No Partner He Is A Cut Throat !!Which Just Makes This Game Even More Fun,NOT ! Is There A Wsy To Change Your Partner??

I would give Spades five stars, but my partner never seems to play strategy when there is a nil bid. The opponent always wins when they bid nil, but it's hit or miss when I bid nil. Makes for a maddening experience.

Your partner play is critical especially when you are trying to get no tricks. They programmed the partner to focus on not go over it's "get" amount instead of supporting your nil play. This is ridiculous! Waste of time to play this game.

App keeps going back in background when i click play button...same issue with chess game from AI factory. Been a long time user but now disappointed 😞

The algorythm for partners and opponents is a little cluncky, it is no where near playing with a real partner. otherwise a great app!

Your partner (1) doesn't know how to play against a nil bid; (2) doesn't work with by leading suits you've already shown you are cutting; (3) either overbids or underbids consistently, leading to failed bids or bag penalties; et al. It seems as if the partner is trying to lose.

I played this game and liked it at first. Then my partner got worse and worse. I tried adjusting it's parameters with no effect. It regularly over bids and takes tricks on nil bids. RUN AWAY!

Fix your ad system. Ads consistently pop up and if you close it, it pops back up and keeps poppin back up

Love this game, but ads are too much. Ads some ads make you go to play store. And you are unable to go back to game unless you restart your phone.

very relaxing competitive fast-paced very enjoyable I didn't believe it myself but it has really taken a lot of stress off of my mind just being able to enjoy the game and the challenge

The ads randomly pop out while you're in play. It would be more civilized to place them between hands. No longer enjoy playing !

This app is garbage. There are algorithms that force losses, the computer plays as though someone is actually looking at your cards. Delete Ap!!!

The game is very relaxing and fun to play. However it would be nice if there was so background music during gameplay mode. In addition maybe you could chat or let your partner know what move you are about to make. So you don't cancel each other cards out.

After several years of playing AI games I'm uninstalling this one and opting for another spades version. The ads are excessive. I hate the new look. I wish they would go back to the old format.

I like this game. I want to like it more, but I have one complaint. I have not been able to find an AI "partner" that will properly cover me if I bid NIL. I have had them throw a very low card in a suit that causes me to "win", then follow up a short time later with an ace in the same suit. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with this type of play, but it leaves me feeling abandoned by my partner. Or maybe I'm expecting too much from my virtual friend. I'm open to suggestions and will gladly revisit this review if/when things improve (or I do). On the other end of the spectrum, I have lead with a low card trying to "set" a competitor who has bid NIL, only to have my partner play a high card and cover the competitor. I wish I could talk to my partner (or at least glare at them to send a signal or something....).
