Spades Offline - Single Player

I can deal with the fact that my "partner" collects bags like honey collects flies, and the fact that she frequently and unnecessarily trumps my Aces and Kings, and even the occasional glitch in scoring or irregular card play. It's annoying when a player throws off on one hand, and the next hand plays a card of the suite she didn't have previously, but it doesn't happen often. It would still be a decent game except for a few really obnoxious points. It often freezes up and you lose your game and have to reboot. When a game ends, you can't just play another game - you have to exit the game, reset your desired parameters, and then start a new game. And THE ADS ARE OBNOXIOUS!!! They either cover your hand or your partner's, and they are non-stop! I understand you want revenue, but if the ads impede the game itself, it defeats the point of playing in the first place. Several of us downloaded this app together, and out of my whole group, I'm the only one who still hasn't uninstalled it, but I am fast reaching that point.

I read through the intro, then got a green screen after an ad and couldn't go on. I've started and stored the app several times without success. I'd love to give it a go, but can't start my first game for some reason. Fixed now. Probably one of the better apps, but not player still doesn't cover a nill well and bags a lot.

too slow. animations needs to be faster, and an option to click to continue at end of game is a must, most people dont need 10 sec. to read the scoreboard. and a 1 click option play a card, I like fast paced game. the AI always bid too low. your partber plays aginst you, and there should be more options to game play. card passing on nils, etc. also an option to change avatars would be nice, & ad pop ups are annoying. uninstalling.

UPDATE: Now that I've had it installed for several days, the % of time the game freezes up is more like 50%. I will search for a better version of Spades. I won't even comment on how frustrating the other players are, especially when playing partners. They underbid every hand & cheat. 30% of the time the screen will freeze up right in the middle of a match. No way to salvage the match. You just have to start over. Also lacks a settings area where you can personalize the game.

Good game, until their glitch applies extrodinary points to the loser (s). You'll notice this when it jumps right to "winners", instead of posting round points. Frustrating! These "glitches" appear in every mode. I just want to play a "clean" game. 😠 Why can't I get through a round without this game freezing? What is going on with this game?

The computer players are easy to figure out and they play differently depending on which setting of game play, and total score you choose to play. Add in that they dont play like a human does and it isnt much fun. Its free though so if you havent played in awhile its good as a refresher or for beginners.

I like the game pretty much with 2 major gripes. First I can't stand how the game knows what is in your hand and ALWAYS leads with unrealistic cards to bust my NIL bids. It happens WAY to many times for it to be coincidental. Second, the other players rarely bid their hands realistically. It is nearly impossible to set the other players.

Game play would be 1000% better if the time countdown between hands was replaced by a continue button. Let the player decide when to go to the next hand. This would give the player more time to study the score, and the ability to move on faster than 10 seconds. Same at the end on the game.

Please fix this app!! I love playing it, but the last 3 or 4 days when I open the app it opens and then closes immediately. I can't even play the game now!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled app to see if that would fix it, but it didn't..please fix!! I would give 5 stars if it worked properly.

cool! it let's you do different settings, such as, solo, multi-player, partner, etc. This Spades app is way better than the other ones with a bunch of ads and you don't have earning points to move up a level. Love It!

Good way to improve your play if you go solo. When playing partners, the avatar plays their hand period. There is no strategy whatsoever. Lately it does seem glitchy with the ads. I've had to uninstall to get the game to start again.

the computers are dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to gameplay, ur partner will cut ur books and one up u to take your books. also in the description it says you can choose to lead with spades as an option but i have not found this option anywhere. worst spades i have found, it only irritated me to play it.

if all you wanna do is play spades (AI) this app is it. No ads, no complicated mess, just a super easy interface with HD graphics and spades. Best spades game i have been able to find for my appetite. It would be cool to see different avatars or choose your own but this app SHOULD satisfy your need to play. Alot of work was put into this app to be enjoyable so just enjoy it👍

AI gameplay is awful. underbid constantly, play high cards instead of trying to set opponents etc. add to this you cant choose your profile or opponents and overall just a waste of time. uninstalled. im really suspicious that all the other reviews are positive as the AI players really are awful. only reason i installed was because i wanted to play offline and this is the only version that has different play modes. please make the AI gameplay more intelligent and i will change my review.

It started closing itself several times each game so you have to log back in to continue. It's worked fine, then suddenly started this. I even un- and re- installed it. Very Frustrating!

I like playing and it's a good past time. Two things, for me, would make this better. One, the placement of the avatar is over my cards so it's hard to see what I have. Two, for some reason I can't "quit" the game. I have to completely close the app. I can't even back out. Otherwise, it's fun.

Computerized team underbids and purposely gives you sandbags and you opponent assists them with the sandbags. This makes the game super long and boring. Initially, I set the game to 500 points. I reset to 250 and it was still long and not challenging due to the other team underbidding and both teams going back 100 points. Uninstalling...

I love the speed and play of the game. Needs more players...here is the follow-up to your response to my initial review...In solo mode, if my opponents have no hearts and are holding several spades too often they trump using the ace of spades in their hand instead of the two of spades in their hand, as most would play it. Also, I can win in solo every time by some combo of bagging my opponents and going nil. Every time.

I love this game. It helps pass the time when waiting on people and whatnot. For those who are complaining of wrong cards being played, I noticed that when I actually was playing solo that my partner was playing cutthroat, as if he were using my cards to help him win - which is essentially what the point is for that game. I like to play as partners, so I don't have to deal with that nonsense behavior. Lol, awesome! 5⭐

I love this app,.. i play for hours at a time. the only reason i wont rate it a 5 is because the app doesnt allow you to choose or switch partners. i'm forced to play with an idiot as a partner in pair mode that plays as if he's in single player mode. its frustrating enough to make me delete this app.

I like the game! Game play is fast! The AI seems to way under bid their hand. After 3-4 rounds, they have 8 bags. I seem to be able to play alot of nil, so far. The sound effects are good and no ads.

When I really got into the game, it started to cheat! It gave other players books that I had won. Couldn't change partners and my partner (Miami Hero) constantly cut my own books! You can definitely tell you're playing with a robot! 🤣🤣🤣. Even worse!!! Snoop Boy reneged!!! So frustrating! CHEAT, CHEAT, CHEAT!!! That's so sad...this is supposed to be a fun game.

It's not a bad game, but there are no user settings to customize gameplay. Once the game is over it takes a bit to exit. It also allows 'bots' to renig and come back to play a Spade.

I can't get the game to work anymore I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling nothing works. Not sure if ther've been updates but I've had this game on my phone for over a year and haven't had any problems until recently.

Fun, fast paced (which I love) and the different versions of spades make it more interesting. Better to play if you have data as well as wifi because if you just use wifi it may lock up in the middle of a game when the small ads at the top stop running.
