SpamDrain - email spam filter

It is easy to setup. It is easy to review what it blocks. or allows. you can blacklist or release mail as desired. It does a great job in blocking spam and is a useful backup to see emails that arrived but I managed to delete.

I have used this app for several years and I've been very pleased until the past few weeks. Suddenly SpamDrain is no longer working. My subscription is paid. I have emailed them to see what's wrong, with no response. Update 3/5/20 I have downrated to a 1 from a 2. After I changed my password, the app is still not working, and I get the same automated replies. My subscription is paid until October. I have used this app for 6 years with good results, but now it is NOT working.

So Spamdrain. I was searching for a quick mobile app to finally get rid of spam mails on my mail accounts. And even though the app doesnt look as appealing to modern standards it works great. Easy to use and quick to check. Got nearly all my spam mail without many wrong detections like my normal spam filter. Yes this is a subscription service. But the price is more than ok for a yearly subscription and i certainly will use it on all my accounts. Can really recommend it.

I was getting buried in Spam and after signing up it was gone day one. I'm on the free trial and will continue once the trial period ends. It is well worth it to me.

The app won't load on my Note20 Ultra but does on my Tablet S5e. On the tablet, I try to generate a 16 digit App Password, but there is nothing on the Google page that helps. I'm off.

the software would not allow me to sign in with my google accout neither my microsoft acount, so I'm not sure what to expect. I wish you all the best of luck, mabe the nade will provide me additional support.

Just to be clear, this is not so much an app as it is a cloud-based service which operates outside the boundaries of the cell phone to prevent spam from reaching all devices where I read my email -- cell phone, tablet, Mozilla Thunderbird on my laptop. The service works beautifully. I can see all blocked/allowed emails in the mobile app or website and tell SpamDrain to release a blocked newsletter or email. I normally hate subscriptions, but this is very reasonably priced so I paid after trial.

Impossible to call them and instructions for stopping auto renewal or to delete membership do not work. Spam filter works very well but theres no control over what happens after free trial. I will watch my bank account and report any charge as fraud.

Works perfectly. I wasn't sure about a subscription service but after a few weeks of use I'm converted. Used to get about 30 spams each day but now I get none. Plus it can be taught which marketing emails are wanted and which to mark as spam. Best anti spam product for Android.

I had been receiving up to 45 spam emails a day, and no amount of "add to junk" or "block sender" was helping stop these. After downloading the Spamdrain app and setting it up to check my email account, the spam emails just stopped coming through! I could still cross-check these in the Spamdrain app, confirm if some had been incorrectly classified, and was really pleased to see that this service worked across all my emails, whether received on desktop or via mobile email app. I cannot recommend the Spamdrain filter highly enough!

Evoid this app like plague!!! I had only had this app for TWO minutes on my device til I found out it was trial version, because developer "forgot" to mention up front IT IS A TRIAL VERSION, and two minutes is what it takes to know u don't want it. Keep away from this app! I don't know why, but the moment I removed this app from my phone, I started receivivg ten times more garbage in my mailbox than before!!! The app will keep screening your mail even if immediately removed.

Not one to leave reviews, but finding that support is non existent! When app is working works as needed, but support is email only and absolutely untimely. Recently changed emails to Microsoft exchange server and has not worked since. Neither myself or my IT Support can get Spamdrain to respond and help us rectify the issue. Would be five stars if support was timely and on task. Support continues to get worse. Would love to down grade to negative stars, but not given that option. After waiting 48+ hours the response from support was "you have create another support ticket regarding the issue. Could you please reply to the one support ticket in order to avoid any confusion". I was completely dump founded (polite way to describe emotion)! No attempt to support existing issue and get things working again. Evidently juggling two tickets completely overwhelmed and confused their highly skill support team! Buyer be extremely wary.

I've used this for a few years and it is OK. However, it now won't let me renew my annual subscription without ticking the box agreeing to auto renewal of subscriptions. I'm not prepared to do that and find it a shoddy practice. Disappointed.

It is for a 14 day trial offer. If i could i woukd give it -⭐⭐. Don't say an app is free if it isn't. Say from the beginning that it is only a trial offer. Maybe the app is ok, maybe it is not. When they have to "con"you to get you to try an app;it says alot about the Integrity of the ones putting out the app. They hsve even contacted me about my review. Bottom line be up front about your apps FREE is FREE.

I have been using this app for over 7 years. I had been receiving 20-30 junk / nuisance emails on a daily basis. I now get only wanted emails and can easily access blocked emails as needed.

This service works extremely well, been using it for a few years now and it really does a great job of filtering right away. It dramatically lightens the load on your inbox.

I have long history on email, Spamdrain saves me deleting unwanted email, and it is very accurate at identifying spam

Can't even use it..several attempts to log in/ sign up and it just won't work.

I've been a longtime subscriber to SpmDrain, receiving daily emails. This app is a welcome additional facility The only problems I've ever experienced have been as a consequence of my ISP changing from POP03 to IMAP without advising users. Nevertheless SpamDrain's support managed to resolve this quickly and effectively.

This app blocked all my emails to my boxes. I received alerts but not the mail. I had to delete the app and I still cannot receive. I am sorry.

Excellent spam detector and blocker catches all spams needs some training to detect legitimate emails but once these are white listed perfect one issue not as effictive blocking Gmail mails before they reach inbox in this case Gmail will put them to the spam or junk folder if the apps could scan the junk folder or block before delivery it would be a five star app

Having problems Installed app 2 days ago Didn't achieve what I was looking to do Uninstalled within 15 minutes I cannot find app on my phone However is still sorting and deleting emails I emailed support x2 was refered to faq Am missing important emails! Don't know how to fix!

I've been using this app for the past 3 weeks only. The product is exeptionnal in identifying spam and fraudulent emails that my other spam apps couldn't identify because of constant domain name changes !

Worked fine for a few days, then suddenly stopped. Spam came through and posts I said were OK didn't! I used it on IOS and it was fine....still having issues with mailbox after I cancelled.

Very impressed with ability to declutter a 23 year old email account that recently lost all rules due to a move from Outlook desktop to Outlook OWA. Would love it more if it also did gmail.

Spamdrain works as described. It's not the least expensive app out there, but if you are deluged with obnoxious spam it is well worth it. It largely does a very good job of recognizing what is spam and what is not, and once you "train" it Spamdrain pretty much works on its own

couldn't even give it a try as a message popped up saying "could not connect to server" yet my other apps are working fine. great concept just wish I could have tried it!
