Spanish Vocabulary Surfer
- Browse websites in Spanish. Read the news or whatever may catch your interest. Touch any word you don't understand and read the translation in the bottom part of the screen. If you wish, you may add the word to your word list.
- Practise your word list using flashcards. At first touch only the initial letter of the word, but later the word must be spelled out. A reward is granted for each correct answer. When a word is fully learned, the estimated date of reaching the next milestone is shown. The first milestone is 10 words, then 100, 500, 1000 words and so on.
The app also includes a hands-free mode using the built in speech synthesis, that enables you to practise your words while driving, while working out, or whenever you feel like it.
(Please note: This app is probably not for the absolute beginner.)

So far I'm loving this app. My favorite feature thus far is the ability to create customized word list for practice. My vocabulary list has 40 words so I'd like to export it or save it so I can create an additional/different list, but I keep getting export error. Can you fix this problem please? Thanks for developing such a useful app!
Amazing!!!! By far the best Spanish learning app out there IMO, thank you so so much for making all that hard work accessible for free! One of the many things I love is how in multiple choice mode, the options become really similar, so useful and challenging! One small suggestion: would it be possible to add participle/gerund forms and/or imperatives to the conjugations? :)
Very helpful app! This is exactly what I needed to improve my Spanish! I love that you find vocabulary words by reading through material that interests you and highlighting the words you don't know. This is very effective for me and keeps things interesting. I also love that their are bvarious techniques to learning each word. Very helpful app!
It is a very good (and original) application for those who want to learn Spanish. I have only one suggestion for the author of the app: in Rewards Settings it could be an option that totally disable all the rewards... It would be useful for those who use the app intensively... Sometimes all these Rewards are annoying and counterproductive. Thanks!
This is the perfect app for learning, I learned so much thanks to this app! I also love that it's ad-free, thank you so much! But.. 1. Could you add the option to make several word lists? So I could've a list for common/easy words & another for difficult/hard words. Also, being able to move lots of words at once would be useful. 2. Do you have any plans for adding features or making apps to learn other languages? I'd like to learn other languages through this app as well. Thanks again!
Fantastic app. I've used many different apps to improve my Spanish but this app is THE BEST. A large selection of today's news, sports, entertainment articles from which you choose to read one. As you read you touch words to add them into your own curated word list. Next, your chosen words are made into crossword puzzles or multiple choice quizzes where the word is pronounced for you. FUN clever games. Reading today's news and learning Spanish at the same time. BRAVO. Download it now!!!
Brilliant app for studying vocab, the best I've come across so far by far. Would only be improved by being able to categorise your word lists, from example to separate verbs from nouns. Mixing them in one list doesn't make sense as they're especially clearly distinct in Spanish
I love the idea of creating your own vocabulary lists from web pages that interest you. The app is very well designed and implemented - one of those rare finds on the play store. Thank you! The ability to sync word lists across devices would be a great feature to add.
Forget Duolingo! Hands down best app for real language learning. Read a kids story in Spanish, make a list of words to study, be shocked that you just learned more in half an hour than you usually do in 2 weeks. Use a text to speech app/function to hear pronunciation for best results.
Genius concept and easy-to-use app! Bravo for such an idea and execution, you make our vocabulary (and not only) learning experience more meaningful, smooth and informative! Feature proposal: May you also embed an audio pronunciation for all words, since we are not all familiar with the IPA, and audio is good for auditive memory :) Thanks for your consideration
This is the first review I've ever written but this app is so amazing I felt it deserved credit. It allows fluid reading of your own articles of interest whilst adding difficult words (with translations) to a list to practice later. My only wish is that it allowed me to turn off the vosotros conjugation for practice in settings. Edit :- after using this app daily for over a month I'd like to update and say it has helped FastTrack my spanish learning better than anything I've paid for. Thank you
I have been looking for this exact thing since I started learning Spanish four years ago! THANK YOU!!! I love that it saves the words you look up to review later. I was having to do so many work arounds before (use google translate, add word to notes, upload words individually to quizlet, sigh). Love it love love it!!
I am new ro learning Spanish. I want to learn so I can live abroad or at least travel to Spanish speaking countries and be able to function. Reading real articles with current events is so helpful. I'm looking forward to using this each day.
Fantastic app for practicing Spanish vocabulary. Great application methodology for learning, storing, and practicing new words and verb conjugations. Only question I have is the file type and format required in order to import new words list.
Love this app! It has really extended my vocabulary and opened access to websites I wouldn't have found otherwise. -my only wish would be an addition to the reward system, especially when you reach your goals, 500 words...1000 words... Thank you for an app that is worth the time
I've thousand words to practice. There is only one long list of those words in the app but can not create multiple sets to separate different sections.
This is THE best app for Spanish. I've learned more from this than the other dozen I have downloaded. It just needs a premium version or at least a donate button. I would gladly pay for this app.
Very impressive. Links to read articles then can lookup words and store the ones you didn't know with translation.

Makes it easy to read articles without having to swap back and forth with google translate!
Occasionally janky and a little slow when going to sites on the in-app browser, but the app is so good that I'm not even marking it down a star for that.

This is a wonderful app. Well designed and with so many great features. One thing that I wish would be brought back is the ability to save multiple definitions in a single entry for one word. It used to be that tapping on "update existing" added a new definition to a word in addition to the definitions that had previously been added. Now it just replaces the oldest definitions with the ones added most recently. I prefer to have multiple possible uses/definitions for a word in one entry.
