Spark – Email App by Readdle

Good email app. I haven't had a glitch. I miss two things Reception and read receipts notifications are missing in both android and desktop apps Calendar integration is not available in the app (available in the desktop version) , eg you have a meeting date and hour in an e-mail, you cannot click on it to add the event in your calendar.

Almost perfect. What is missing to make it be the best email app : 1) A filter to automaticaly put mail that matches to criters in a specific folder. 2) A notification when receiving an email directly in a folder (when the app is connected to an email service that provides filters). 3) A count of how many unread email there is in a folder, to see immediatly where to look. Except those points, the app is great to use and very simple !

Miles better than the Gmail app, but no matching "Reminders" feature like Inbox had. The "reminder" option in Spark is a bizarre "remind me that I sent this email" feature. Easily the perfect email app if they'd add a feature to create reminders like Inbox had. I know that's not "email", but I'm looking for an Inbox replacement. Snoozing emails and reminders go hand in hand for me.

I really want to love this app. However, I can't, and that's a shame First, I love the idea of their account sync system. you set up multiple accounts once then all your other devices are set to go. The UI looks decent and modernized too. I also LOVE the idea that can create templates. Unfortunately, that is about it. There are several deal-breaker that drives me away from this app. I can't believe it does have the option to choose between "conversation view" or "standard email view". All the emails with the same subject are grouped under 1 thread and that's a big No No for me. At least you gotta let people choose~ Another flaw is that some of my emails show up twice sometimes and it does not mark read if I read them from my laptop...... For now, the dealbreaker is big enough for me to delete this app, but I hope this can be fixed in the future.

I've been using Spark for quite awhile now. It's pretty good but has issues. The most annoying problem is that the Android version (Pixel 5 & Pixel 6 Pro) keeps shutting down randomly and I have restart it constantly....super annoying. The desktop version hangs when moving an email to another folder occasionally. And the way email conversations are organized is backwards for me and there's no way to change it to a personal preference. I believe you can in Outlook, buts it's been awhile.

Update 2: Please fix this app, I miss it after using various other apps (but sadly can't come back if it doesn't work reliably). Update 1: Was the best. Can't open emails from notifications, it just shows a grey screen - tried everything, reinstall, remove my account, clear cache, etc. Had to stop using it and that was unfortunate because it was my favorite email client. Original: Best email app on the market 👍

The latest update caused something to go wrong with the app. I can't open most emails. Some take a long time to open, some don't open at all and just spin with nothing happening. Up til this latest update, it was my favorite email app. Please go back to the drawing board and fix this issue, as I've read others who are seeing the same problems as I am.

This used to be the best email app, hands down. Sadly, every update introduces new bugs that are making this app almost unusable. From seeing the same email twice (and not knowing which one is the real one) to emails loading forever and typing issues while composing an email, Spark is actually making my job more difficult and frustrating nowadays. I reported all these issues and never got a resolution. I hope the team could address all these problems and make Spark the best email app once again.

I'm always curious to try different email apps but somehow always coming back to Spark. It's been like that for a few years now. There's something about balance that Spark just got right: all the great features are there but interface is still very clean and intuitive to navigate. Spark also looks nice. I think it's important that email app doesn't bother you with too many features, options or overdone design, that it's managing emails in a modern yet easy to learn way.

This was a great app that I use on all my devices, was using a on IOS and Android tablet and phones. I have recommended it many people as it was very reliable with lots of features. In recent months the app has a started to crush frequently at random times, the most common after opening the app with a few seconds. I have cleared cache, data, and uninstalled on more than one device, something is off and making me have to look for an alternative email solution unfortunately.

Do you guys test your own app.? My emails are cut off by a quarter of the screen . Cant read the entire page and you can zoom in or out .what gives ? PS: fixed by uninstalling and installing again. What a waste of time. No setting was changed 🤬!

I love it, but it has been showing some problems: 1. Sometimes while I'm in the middle of the email I'm reading, the email reloads and goes back to the top. 2. It has been kinda slow 3. If you try to open the email from the notification bar, it opens the app but on a dark screen (not a black screen, but the "dark mode background colour" with no text or image showing). The email cannot be opened via the notification bar.

This app has many great features and would be my go-to mail app if not for one major issue. It does not allow me to view individual emails in the inbox. All emails are threaded and that is simply unworkable for me. I contacted their developers and made this suggestion multiple times, but it's obviously not a priority to them to implement this solution and that is certainly their prerogative.

12/04. Lately I've been receiving notifications for emails I've already opened and addressed upto 2-3 days late. I'm not sure how to fix this or why it's happening. They appear as new emails even though they've already been actioned. This is a slight stain on what is an absolutely great app. I will continue to use and recommend the app even with this bug/issue. In the meantime, I hope the issue get resolved.

Update: I am having issues with emails when I open from push notifications. App opens the app and then shows a pop-up saying I deleted or removed the email from another account/device which is not true. It is kinda annoying. Long time user. This app is just so good. Android version is a bit buggier than iOS version but no major issues at all and fixed happen quick. Smart inbox feature is brilliant.

I've neglected my email for several years, but this app has helped me get back on top of it! Design and interface are quite intuitive, and it let's you see all of your inboxes in one so you don't need to switch between accounts. Push notifications will just open the email, and once you sort it, it doesn't force you back into the inbox, so you can keep doing what you were doing. My only complaint is that you can't create folders in the app, but that's hardly a problem for me. Definitely try this app out!

That is the last straw Spark, where the heck are all my notifications?? I love not being bugged by useless email but it is a fateful flaw that I missed my appointment today because the reminder email two days ago, and many many many many others do not appear as a notification. Yes, I have ensured individual email addresses, accounts, and general settings all say the notifications are turned ON. Still no notifications. Other apps might be more annoying but atleast they function.

Rating downgraded. It needs a lot of improvement. In a series of emails, it is often very difficult to check which message was first & which was next. Also, formatting options of new message are not user-friendly. Whenever password of an email account is changed, we have to enter not only the password but also other details (like username, server, domain, etc) to sync that email in SPARK app.

Google Inbox refugee here. Not as good as bundles, but has similar ideas. The inflexibility of categories makes it difficult to take advantage of the "remove in 1 swipe" functionality. There's always items in the predefined categories more important than the others, yet too many to pin individually. Also wish notifications were smarter. With 1 push notification for each mail, they become a 2nd inbox to go through. The "smart notifications" don't solve this.

I have never been so consistent with checking emails before but this app changed everything. Giving me the power to delete large groups of emails and separating emails into different categories for me has never been more satisfying. The UI is amazing and the options to change settings dosent leave me wanting more. I look forward to this apps next update.

This is a great email app alternative with some useful features. I have a few things that I don't like and a big one is that you can't block an email address. That should be a standard option. When I get an email from someone I don't want to communicate with; I should have the ability to block the email address or its domain. Another complaint that many others have been presenting to you for a while now is that you can't create essential folders or categories. Please fix these problems 🙏

Make it easier to reply using the same email address that the message was received on. Especially when you have multiple accounts. I dont want to choose which email address to use when replying everytime. It becomes annoying after a while. Or atleast make it an option in the settings
