Speak and Spell

I downloaded this app mainly just to mess around with. The voice sounds true to the original, but I mainly decided to actually review because the dev put in a free "noadz" code in case you want to let a kid play with it without ads for them to click on and take them off the aps. That's a really cool move. I'll definitely keep it download a while and keep the ads on when I use it.

While confusing to someone who never experienced the original, the help guide is very handy, and this emulation is thoroughly satisfying. It lets me experience something vintage without needing to hunt on eBay, and that's what I was looking for. Kudos for such streamlined execution of emulating a physical toy!

I saw this old toy in a video on YouTube and thought there might be an app, and fortunately I was right. This app gives you a excelente opportunity to try out this 80s toy. To me it's just like the original. Thanks for making this emulator. It's helping me practice my English spelling. (Btw, Spanish is my native language). 5 stars for the great job!

The nostalgia. Lol.. I saw bad reviews and it makes me sad.. This is the really the way I remember it. The robotic sound that sometimes is not understandable. Very nistalgic. This is basically the toy turned into an app.

It's literally a PERFECT RECREATION OF THE CLASSIC SPELLING GAME, complete with Texas Instruments text to speech algorithm voice. It brings me back fond memories of my childhood.

The voice does not say the letter when repeated that needs to be fixed. The voice does not say the letter when it's in the Hangman ? puzzle game. Could use Speak & Read with all modules and Speak & Math versions so young children can learn math and read words when school is out.

Had the actual toy in the '90s. Vocal doesn't sound great because I can't understand what is saying to spell. Just get yourself a real Speak & Spell. Don't use this on your phone. Reason why is internal memory conservation.

Great emulation! Any chance of the ROM expansion packs, the later QWERTY keyboard option, and a way to permanently remove ads? I'd happily pay for these options.

I became an excellent proofreader for those college students; in which, if they used my corrections for their English essays. I wonder if a single student excelled in their midterm. (For example)took my advice. My midterm for English 103: Aprox. 105 A+

An amazing reproduction of my favorite childhood toy. Accurate sounds take me back. Love that there's a way to disable ads so if you give it to your crumb cruncher to smear num-nums on your thousand dollar Samsung they don't accidentally visit some other site.

Wow! you guys re-vived one of my favorite toys. This product series was my childhood. Has anyone thought or developed even partly the Speak & Read? Highly recommend this app just on the nastaulogia alone!

This great, however, the code is different from the original. If anyone knows "ALDV`HRL" you'll understand. Still cool hearing the old sounds!

Great job! Would be awesome if the app had the expansion modules that you could insert up inside the battery lid.

I guess this was designed to be just like the old toy but I don't remember the toy being so amazingly difficult to understand. App is neither fun nor functional. Uninstalling.

Uninstalled APP, sound quality was very poor and not very clear. Shame cos remember this as a kid and thought it would be helpful for my son 👎

my kid loves it as much as i used to. i sold mine at a car boot sale but remember thinking it was a mistake at the time

4.5 stars, I'm an 80s kid & it sounds pretty much like the original speak & spell. Total nostalgic fun to play!!!

I really love this app so much! I think you should make a Speak and Read app so that everyone has a better experience too. I hope it comes sooner as I expect it!

I'm a 24 year old man playing with a speak and spell at 2AM. My life cannot peak any higher. This is an exact copy from the game I had as a kid. Very well done.
