This is the ultimate word dictionary for the Navajo language. "Speak Navajo" is a Android mobile device application that contains hundreds of Navajo and English words. At a touch of a finger, you can easily find Navajo words by searching the English word counterpart. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Tribe, I am providing all Navajo words that I have learned growing up on the Navajo reservation. As such, all Navajo words provided in this application are authentic and commonly used by the Navajo people.

As a user friendly option, the "Speak Navajo" application provides image and sound files. The image option is very useful in providing a visual that links to the Navajo word. In addition, a sound file is provided for every Navajo word that allows the user to hear the Navajo word being spoken.
The goal of "Speak Navajo" is to provide correct, accurate and commonly spoken Navajo words to everyone interested in learning and preserving the Navajo language. This application is the perfect educational learning tool for anyone interested in learning the most valuable artifact to the Navajo people.

It would be nice if the numbers were in order.
Would be nice if the word was spelled out in Navajo as well, if that gets updated I'll give this a 5 ⭐
I just started learning Navajo and I wish all the words had the real written way it is written. I can understand it better if it was written the original way not too big of a fan of the sounds like option
Would be great to be able to practice the pronunciation of other words using the phones microphone and have the app tell you if your pronunciation was correct.
All the versions keep telling me unfortunately app has stopped working, I have not been able to actually try the app..is there something that I'm doing wrong??

This is awesome! Real Navajo interpreter sounding each syllable very clear. When a person repeats the word faster, the word sounds correct. You'll like this app!

My mother speaks navajo fluently, and my grandmother refuses to speak English, proud she is. I should my mom this and she said it was misleading and laughed at how they thought words were pronounced. Obviously u need a real navajo speaker and writter. Can I get my money back?
The only problem I see is that they have several English words with the same Navajo phrase or word. Looks like filler to make it look like they have a lot of words when they don't
This application is great for learning basic Navajo! Hearing the words spoken from a traditional Navajo speaker is incredible. I give this app thumbs up!
I really like it a lot. Some of the pronunciations are very loud and clear while others are very soft and hard to hear. Some of the words are missing spellings so it's hard to tell what sounds are really coming out of his mouth. It would be great if he could include sample sentences.
Basic design but very authentic.I like the fact it's produced by an actual native navajo speaker and not a nameless corporation.

The app works fine to teach my children simple Navajo. This is a good first step tool to fluency.
