Unlike similar apps it is not hiding from the user, it shows clear notification when it is running in the background so it is obvious when the application is working and it is easy to turn it off. It displays current activation status too, so you always know if it is muted or will read out loud in an event of incoming call or chat.

Do not worry that the phone speaking start to be annoying or embarrassing. Fantastic smart activation feature lets you easily configure when you want to have application reading out loud or when the announcement should be automatically muted. You can set it to be speaking caller name only when you are at a given location based on gps or wifi networks in range, or only at specific time of day, like in the evening, after work or school classes. All you need is to permit access to location service and wifi state in your phone. Then you can pick desired location or wifi in range which would be treated as a beacon or a land mark.
You can make easily your own ringtone by adding text which will be read before and text read after the caller name. Same for sms, you can easily merge sms sender name with your own text having different text message ringtone. You decide about the voice tone and speech rate too. Invent the best ring tone by yourself.
This applications requires text to speech engine on your phone, most of the android phones have it preinstalled, if your device is missing it, it is not a problem, just install text to speech from the play store, without additional license. Using professional tts engine gives us possibility to support almost every language (dialect) in the world, including of course english, spanish, italian, french, japanese, korean, hindi, german, polish etc. Speaker voice is louder and cleaner, more natural

Good app. I like the features and flexibility. It would be perfect, but it seems to have an occasional problem working with the PHONE app on my Pixel 3. Either it won't trigger and come on, or I hear the announcement right on top of the phone app's ringtone. But using the delays, I can get around this, but it's still not perfect.
One of few applications that actually works. The only problem that I saw, is that if the receiver of the call rejects it, then the phone is still continuing to announce, until user stops announcement through the application. I rarely reject calls thus this is ok for me. However please correct this fault. Also change the shortcut icon in Playstore, since you need to use a more serious icon, that can be used in business. I give you 5 star for great work. Please correct these two problems.
Exceptional app. Messages read loud and clearly which helps keep hands-free. The only problem is that it repeats the message twice, which can sometimes be a nuisance. If that could be corrected I would give it 5 stars.
Works ok on OnePlus 8, but sometimes announces text messages twice. Also reads all unread messages every time a new message comes in. So if you have 3 messages, an new message reads all 4 of them. Also, if you are on a phone call, it interupts your call to tell you you have an incoming call.
Interesting and useful. It works. It has lots of options. It looks like it can be attached to MANY processes - that part is confusing, and needs documentation. Attached to the WRONG process, it would announce OUTGOING calls AFTER the call. Need to have search/ sort for the process list.
If this app could also answer or decline a phone call with a voice command, it would be perfect. For now, I tested various apps and this one works. I'm fine using two different apps too (one for reading aloud the number and one for answering or declining)
Reads messages twice after i set it for one . and it can't keep up . it read the first 3 messages while i was texting then it stopped. I had to go out of message app . to restart it.
Yap is good to know who's calling used to have this feature as a ringtone on my phone but disappeared negative is it doesn't let the phone ring after it announces the call would be nice if itsaid call and then announce the name or SMS and announce the name so you know if you getting a phone call or a text message also it would be nice if it lets you have a choice to how many rings before than answers and name or SMS
When it works it's great, but it doesn't always work. I tried adjusting it the other day and now it announces my email in great detail which is very annoying
Keep on improving dis 💪app and please put more features because some of my other norficaion doesn't not speak in my voice mail and my king James Bible study app so if you get posted on dis useful 😀app share with me and others who need your support and feedback on dis great app and thanks 😀

it works ok, at first it only called out numbers and not who is calling. As a matter of fact, it still doesn't call out exactly who is is? Can this feature be adjusted? Thanks, and please reply so I'll know if this request can be done. Michael Strickland.
Would be a 4 to 5 star app but can't use for something that's either fixable or I don't know how to fix. About every 10 minutes the app says "Speak Who is Calling is now active." No matter where I am or what time it is it makes that announcement. How do I STOP IT from continually telling me it's active? HELP ME! I wrote author and it sent OK, but no reply!
this app really works, it can identify the caller irrespective phone or WhatsApp call. it also reads sms, WhatsApp and email messages. flash notification is optional. there's language selection too. worth trying.
Worked great for a long time until recently now it doesn't read the text message or the phone call until after I've already read it myself.
Does NOT read the text messsge. Does not read the name of the message sender. Android 11. Total zero. Worthless
The program is very helpful and easy to use. You can adjust the voice the message and the number of times the message is repeated. I really like this and use it all the time.
Looks great reads great too zillions of downloads too. So i tried no sooner than I had DL app it wants to collect my data and send me adverts and you can't decline Shame on you. Not even a chance to upgrade to no apps. So deleted app.
stops working once in awhile. repeats some phone numbers four times instead of two times. otherwise I like it.
I wrote to them about a problem that phone repeats announcement, after a phone was not answered. They replied once, but second time no reply. When you solve this problem, I will give you five stars.

This app works for phone calls but not for messages. It does not announce contact just says message. Galaxy S20 ultra.
It just stopped working all together for about 2 days. Then it will work on maybe three calls and stop all together again for days.
Love the message reader. But I can't seem to get it to say caller ID just says INCOMING CALL, doesn't tell name of those in my phone book. Am I missing a setting?
Thank you for this app. It makes it easier to know who is calling when you are busy at work and do not want to be disturbed. I recommend to any one because it is very user friendly
The application is good but it stopped for sometime until you reactivate what's to be done to to get it run when the screen is off to get it permanent
Seems great so far, but it really needs to pause any active media before announcing, or at least have that option. That, and the ability to reply to a text with voice would make this app perfect. Bought the pro version to support the dev(s)!
