Spectral Audio

I'm studying how to build acoustic guitars and have been using this to tune the right frequencies for my tops and back of my instruments. The only thing I really think it's missing is a spectrum recorder ... Having to press hold on the exactly time sometimes is hard. Besides that all I can do is thank the developers for this awesome app.

GUI does not fit screen correctly. Too few FFT bins; poor smoothing. No PeakHold function ("Hold" only pauses entire thing). Freq axis labels out of control: too big, overlapping each other, unreadable.

works kind-of-ok on a linear scale, log-scale is useless (though in this kind of analysis it should be superior), harmonics don't really show up regardless of gain (test sound: whistling), peak detection only marks a single peak (not harmonics too). I've switched to "Advanced Spectrum Analyzer PRO" (does all mentioned things better)

Nice app. But the peak frequency reading is not accurate enough. If you correct it, I will give 5 stars.

Helps a bit but frequencies shown are slightly below real tone. The defaulf F note 440hz is measured as 344hz and 880 as 689. Settings could also be saved...

Just a toy for some, but this would be really useful for some kinds of work, for example ringing out a sound system.

It's an excellent tool, with good quality, but it stuck my phone everytime that I turn of the screen without exit the app. Please solve it, it happened to a friend too.

Only allows you to adjust from 250hz.. Uninstalling this useless app.

Wasn't to crazy about the over lapping of the frequency at bottom of display, but once the hold was selected it directed my eyes to the peak freq. Pretty user friendly for a small screen.

Used it to locate a very annoying high pitch generated by an old machine in the office.

I work with audio for my church and we're moving to a new place with different acoustics. This will come in very handy to optimize the sound quality there!

I tried this app and at first thought it looked good, but I have quickly realised that the app is really displaying noise instead of the actual sounds from the microphone.

Very fast and accurate ...also need to work on between 0hz-250hz band resolution

Easy to use. Clean layout. Like the peak function. Being able to see the actual value of the peak frequency is very handy.

In a audio log scale 1k is in the middle. Needs more grid lines.

Simple design no confusion while using and it does what it says and all this is free.

I want to use this to tune aPA and it doesn't seem to cover all the spectrum.
