As far as a spectrum anilyzer goes it does alright but you can't adjust where the display line sits. Either nearly maxed at top or mostly unseen at the bottom unless you turn up the sound? Without a tone generator the app has no value, you need 2 devices running to achieve any results. Finding a good tone generator app is not always easy but they might exist.
I beginning to think that anything kewl does is just cool and fun to use. For me that's what peaks my interest towards the more serious side that apps like this have to offer. This kewl app has a lot to expand on, when comes to the serious side of sound frequencies and I appreciate the information that they supply with many of their apps that make it easier to explore what the app is capable of. Kewl respects that the average end app user isn't always a scientist. Thanks for yet anothe kewl app!
Super sweet! Hearing different pitches of tones throughout the day? Check if you're crazy, or if in fact that crazy poop is real.... just sayin... P.s. it works, might trip you out a bit. But it works.
Nice tnx in order to function properly pause while the music is playing and then play again
Works very well!! Simple to use but with many options!! Great!!
It's scientific ,and it's the only one I best prefer
difficult to handle
Best of the lot
Best on a tablet. Text is too small to read and buttons too small to tap on smartphone. Data is lost upon rotate landscape/portrait. Not enough exponential averaging between FFT bins. No way to calibrate app with cal file, but you can export data as CSV file and then do your own calibration vs known calibration mic in a spreadsheet.
If it has option to DFT the earphones audio it will be damn perfrct
Not good app costly creates unwanted sound waves an deep hall vocials like men thyroid glands
Very Useful, best app of it's kind in the play store.
Frequency and time analysis with a decent variety of basic algorithms.
Maybe next sound project for audio recorder in professional style (TASCAM, ZOOM, ..) ??
Slow... sluggish... delayed response.... Not good.
This is an amazing, instructive, flexible, technically advanced and thoroughly well designed app. I could spent hours without end just using it. The only regret I may have is that perhaps my Samsung Duos display is a little bit small for doing justice to all the settings and capabilities of this app. A five Star indeed, one of the best ever!
After reviewing half a dozen of the top rated free spec analyzers, this is the best by far. To the morons who gave this one star, you neither understand nor have a use for this type of app so keep your opinions to yourself.
Terrible rta... still looking for an android rta app that is decent for when smaart I'd not handy or quite needed.
It's the only one that found to keep up with the guitar solo in Lynyrd skynyrd's firebird even with the cord change thumbs up from me
Easy to use and with a lot of functions. Wish to have a trigger and time span setting. So it does not have to continuously updating. Free and ads free and no extra permission needed make it top of the line.
Pretty good. I also suggest pitch lab. I have tinnitus and am doing some research.
Only additions I'd like to see are a calibration utility for stock mics, and an external mic option with same calibration ability. I'd pay for those in a heartbeat. Bad reviews for crashing: sorta OK, device may not be powerful enough to run full steam. Bad reviews for "not what I expected(what the hell did think when you dl'd an FFT app!?!)" "Too complicated(again, see above)" you just dl'd lab grade SW for FREE!! Wish it had external input/cal options for vibes like in/s², in/s, in, for accelerometers.
For those who, for future reference, start having an interest in this app, do NOT get. It is confusing to use.
I have a PhD in EE, and this app is fabulous. Those guys that gave it 1 star have no idea about DSP, and should not rate apps out of their reach.
This app has helped me RTA a room. Could use a little better help in app, but does refer to web site. I recommend this app.
Truly the best mic analytics app of any app store around. Just what I was looking for. Helped me find resonance frequencies for common objects suprisingly well and easily by highlighting the frequency with the highest amplitude.
Wow ... this is awesome. A must for an audiophile. This can be used as a scientific tool. We could had used it at NASA for stress analysis. The sensitivity, response is phenomenal. The flexibility Impressive. Congratulations guys.
This is so nicely done... I used it to figure out the troublesome frequencies of CPU fans that gave me headache. I wish I could give an extra star for keeping it (ad) free.
Useful but the screen update interval is too slow. Others manage 30 frames per sec for a smooth graph. Its running 2 frames/sec no matter how far up/down I set various options. Buttons on the control panel too small to use, must have been programmed on a low res screen. Adjustable dB and Hz axis is useful as is C, Z and A dB weighing. But, it shows no response below about 50Hz even though my mic works far below that. It could be a nice app but it needs updating.
