Spectrum Music Visualizer

This music visualizer shows a few different patterns based on the spectrum of the music you play to it. It listens using the microphone on your tablet / smartphone and has a running display.
Behind the scenes, it uses an FFT algorithm to analyse the waveform sampled from the microphone and make the spectrum analyzer.

The frequency display has then been further manipulated to better differentiate lower frequencies in the display so you can "see" the tune better.

Autorange function allows you to boost or reduce the volume of the input sound to give a better display.

Touching the screen changes the colour effect.

How do you stop the visual from going insane? I heard a song in a movie and wanted to play it ans my tv was on 10 percent volume. And it went insane. I tried it with 5 percent and was the same. What the flying fash?

As suspected, this app takes all its feed from the microphone, therefore no use when listening through earphones. Why don't they tell you this ?
