This app is near useless. It has children repeating a word at you, with no context or image. So they'll be saying 'bird', but there's no image, just their face. How is a child meant to understand why they are saying a word without context? The video after to give context is too late, your child has lost interest and the videos themselves are just silly. Not informative, just weird and useless. I don't understand how this has been accepted as educational and can cost so much. What a load of...
I downloaded the free trial of this app on May 09 and cancelled it on May 11. I have documentation that the cancellation occurred and yet this company still charged me $59.98 for full access. When I contacted Google they stated that since the charge came directly from this company (and not Google Play) they were unable to help me. Beware of unauthorized charges! The "free" trial is not free!
Not really all the hype the adds talk about. I still wanted to try it though. But when I went threw trying to cancel I went threw hell was very annoying trying to figure out. They should have a cancel on the app it's self. Definitely not a app worth paying $59! I want my money back.
Looks promising and so I signed my son up for this. He is a year and half old and is struggling with words etc. Was really looking forward to trying this however when trying to sign up for the subscription the app completely stops functioning. Definitely became dissatisfied with it after trying multiple times and having to reanswer all the questions about my son everytime. If it would work I definitely would up the rating but for now it just seemed promising until it didn't work.
The app in itself is amazing. However, i had an issue with entire amount getting deducted while subscribing to the trial version. Mails and messages to Google hit a stone wall and finally contacted the customer support by email. It was pleasantly surprising to see a super quick response and amount refunded. No questions asked. Thanks a lot Jaka. Mate, you made my day.
Great concept, poorly executed. It shows videos of kids that mimic sounds of things or animals, to which most are difficult to hear even at max volume. There are other videos of "music" where these kids sing but again, can't barely hear not understand them. The other thing that got me disappointed was "monthly payment" only to find out they charge you for the full year immediately. Tried it for a year, but again just poorly executed.
Pretty disappointed with this app. First of all, there's no monthly payment. They charge you right away for the whole year which to me there isn't enough content on the app. I understand repetition is important when learning, but you would think there would be more words for them to learn with how much they charge for the app.
It really is a good app, it just doesn't substitute communication. My child just sits and smiles at the screen, like she is watching a cartoon. She is interested in it, but she knows she is not talking to anyone and will not repeat the words. So I don't recommend this to try to get your child to talk, but I do in exposing your child to different words.
While it doesn't replace professional therapy, it's a great option to occupy and engage with your littles. My 18 mo loves the sound effects and pictures. The games get a little tedious I think but overall great app for encouraging sound production and early language skills.
I am utterly disappointed! I signed up on the website, paid for a monthly subscription and yet I can't sign in the app. Keeps saying wrong username and password, can't get support. Somehow I got the email for my receipt but never got a link to atleast reset my password. Now even worse I can't login on the net to freaking cancel the subscription! Probably the worse thing I ever spent money on!
I had thought that i would be charged after the 7day trial but my account was debited immediately. It was also shocking that i was charged for a year even though i had opted for monthly payment. My child loses interest because the app takes time to load and doesnt have sounds or songs that is engaging
Like many of the people writing the reviews, I have been charged from speechblubs even though it Stated that there was a 1 week free trial. I have sent an email for the refund of the annual fee that has been taken off my account but I have still not heard from them! I'm very frustrated right now
Signed up, Downloaded the app and still couldn't access it. Card was still charged $60 and still have no access to it. Going to dispute the charge. Do not purchase, not worth it. Can't get in touch with anyone for help with the app either
I thought I was unable to cancel free trial but was not the case. Someone handled my concerns promptly and I am satisfied with service. Hope to try this app again in the future when my child is ready for it. This is not a scam as I originally thought. Thanks again for help.
We have been using this app everyday for two weeks now. And it has been a game changer with my son and his ability to communicate. Since using this app his confidence has exponentially increased and he has easily learned to speak a word a day. I would highly recommend.
my daughter loved the free trial. I couldn't afford the subscription, and I didn't cancel my free trial in time. they refunded my money as soon as I noticed. its a good app managed by great people
This is more for a beginner phase. Definitely not what Im looking for. It's overpriced for the limited content & learning activities, not many options.
Compared to the iPhone version, the Android version seems to be lagging in features. You can't share your account across platforms despite language seemingly making it seem like it's possible. The toddler seems to enjoy it despite it being repetitive.
App doesn't allow free subscription without entering payment information. I rather to see the content before any serious commitment. Assessment at the beginning doesn't reflect accurate results.
Absolute scam of an app! Took a year's subscription even though it said I have 7 days free to decide whether I want to cancel or not. I actually cancelled immediately as the whole app was literally children repeating a word a few times. Which is quite pointless and not very engaging for a toddler. Maybe if you want to teach a child how to improve their speech it's useful but not as a way to teach a toddler new words. I have contacted Google for a refund and am very disappointed with this app
I was having some problems with unsubscribing after I did the free trial. But... I received direct help and no arguments or anything I asked for a refund I got one. I loved the app my daughter couldn't really grasp onto it shes to young. But we'll try again later. I do think there are some updates and improvements to be made but altogether I really like this app
On multiple choice questions my kid does great. But then she learned that pressing the wrong answer gets a fart noise. Now she avoids the correct answer to hear the fart noise & laughs. Also, there's little encouragement when trying to get her to repeat the word. My kid sits there unsure what to do. I try to whisper for her to try, but sometimes it picks up my voice. Hasn't really helped say more words, but she thinks it's fun. She likes the popping games, but theres only 2 :(
I've had my 2yr old using this everyday for 15-20mins a day for the last 3 weeks and he hasn't said a single word. Would not recommend, the app doesn't work and you have to pay for it
Very good app. Had a small problem with being over charge but when I contacted them by email and they email me back and handled the problem in a timely manner.
My son was just saying gibberish and it was passing him along. I wouldn't call this speech therapy as much as a dictionary for kids. Also the subscription isn't canceled inside the app or on its website it's through your settings on the actual app store.
Please can you cancel my membership before I have to pay for it, it doesn't work for my 2 year old and there's no where that allows me to cancel it. I have sent an email but still waiting feedback
So far i like it (we obly used for about 20 minutes so far) but it wont give me an option to do a monthly plan, only the full year. I dont want to do a full year if my child stops using it
100 percent worth the money. All of the other apps rely too heavily on songs and videos my kid watches on a loop instead of practicing skills. Even the apps I would rate highly fall into this problem, and don't have a verbal element for the kids to actively speak. This one feels almost like having a speech therapist in the room. It also rewards the kids by unlocking very short mindless games on a timer so they don't get frustrated and switch to an easier app when you're not looking.
