Speech To Text

Good application and I have a feature request. It would be really nice if there was a closed caption mode so I could put the phone down and have the last sentence I spoke displayed in really large characters and then erased after a certain amount of time has passed. Then we could use our phones as subtitlers for talking to people who cannot hear well. That would be totally awesome! But still a very good application all around!

I downloaded this app yesterday, 12/29/19. So far, it has only made tiny mistakes while I've been writing out messages. Occasionally, it will put in a different word that sounds like the word that I said. The app I had before, from Google, was absolutely horrible. It would put in a string of words that I hadn't even said and was constantly putting in different words than I had said. I had to proofread every single message before sending it.

tries and is great for free with no bad ad expeirence or anything. but it just is not good at hearing well. even saying the words slowly and reiterated time after time it cannot get them right. maybe 50 to 75% accuracy with no option at all to input punctuation makes it more of a waste of time. i could have just typed faster than it took to hear, incorrectly translate, then edit and then go thru trying to imagine the correct punctuation. really tedious. other apps do it better.

You know, when I first installed this app, I thought it was awesome! But not really because of the talk to text either, but rather the text to talk! Gets lost I mean what an awesomely amazing idea to be not only be able to control the speed of the playback, , but being able to change the accents too? That's unreal. There is really no end to the fun I could have with this app. But two issues. #1, I keep getting kicked out! And it doesn't save. And if I do save it, it gets lost!!!

This app is a joke!!! 😤It doesnt work at all, initial i thought it needed data to work and it worked one time like that but subsequently nothing works again with data on it still doesnt work..it doesnt capture voices nor does it read out words written...the app is just there...i'm uninstalling it 'cos i see no use keeping it on my phone when it not useful...only wished there was 0 star but alas there's none😒😬

It works. But, it can only recognize the words if you speak with pauses between words in the sentences. If you say "one day", it will type Wendy, except if you speak slowly with pauses between "one" and "day". It doesn't recognize one and two syllable words when spoken on their own it seems.

Responsiveness and accuracy are good, but not suitable for meetings without there being a silent mode option. If there was a visible indicator for active dictation mode instead of a bell, then the app would be much more versatile.

This app had been working great for me, got a little buggy to the point where i couldn't use it, but the developer took care of it promptly. I have revised to 5 stars because this is the only app i've found that allows me to add qoutation marks by voice.

Completely thrilled with it's performance. It does require the Google App Microphone Permission switched to on. It works wonderfully. It's 5x faster than I can type and it's accuracy is very good... Thank You.

I give this app 5 stars, 1. It's just a few Mbs 2. Works perfectly in English, few mistakes 3. No ads whatsoever 4.easiest way to use, like my grandma could work with it perfectly 5. No gliches 6. It supports Farsi dramatically I have this problem of Left to Right language in some apps I work with, but if I write it in speech to text app and copy it to other apps the problems are solved Im a translator and my fingers hurt all the time, Now not so much

Does not work accurately, had to repeat the same phrase several times (This is a test of the emergency broadcast system) ... when I tried to play it back, it would continue to show raise volume, and cut off the speach.

You can tap or press and hold green speech to text speaker icon button but it red square stop button flickers gone back to green speaker icon in literally one second or split second and not one word will appear either. The only thing that works in the app is text to speech. I needed an speech to text to do all the writing for me when iphone microphone detects Anik Singal's speech during his live class webinar. Its recorded youtube video in his website. Its so I can take notes.

Settings dialog box will not close or go back. App does not work. From the word go running this app, it failed to work so I uninstalled it. Not sure how to use this application from my messenger app, and settings are broken.

I got this app only few months ago for two reasons and I love it. Sometimes I use it at work and today I am using it even more after my Cochlear Implant surgery done this morning. My left ear is deaf since birth and I have severe profound hearing loss on the right ear so for know I can not hear anything until my sound processor get activated. This is why I love this app, it helps me to communicate with others. Thank you so much for making this great app available to everyone.

It said I could share to social media. It would not share what I had typed. It took a while to copy it. It's a horrible program and now it has permission to record voice. I'm very unhappy. I think I'm going to reset my entire phone.

It odd in the way that it works. I really think that it's confusing at first but working with it you will get it going right. I have seen others around that work a lot better than this one but I am going to give it a chance to customize it and see what I think down the road. Thanks for providing me with this App because I have trouble reading the words and understanding it at the end. What would I do without an app such as this. The settings back arrow doesn't work, and one has to completely shut down the app. Voice to Text is working very well, but Text to Voice is not working.

Small lite app that gets the Job done. I would like to see dark mode in this app. Then I would say it is as near to perfection as one could expect from a speech 2 text app. I would then give all five stars.

Uh how do we make the punctuation mark appear? When I said 'enter' or 'new paragraph' or comma, it literally showing the words instead of showing the mark. I said that in English sometimes it works, but when I said that in my native language, the app doesn't respond the way it should be.

Perfect speach to text and reading app. Simple to use and makes writing emails and sms so easy and no more typos from incorrect autocorrect. Very well designed app. A must have

Super easy to use but there should be an understood vocal command to start a new paragraph, like maybe "next line." I use this to make my grocery list, and I'd like it to be hands-free where possible.

Good enough. easy to use, simple (exactly what you wanted), just the "erase words" it's kinda uncomfortable. I think it should ve been better to also have a bottom to erase all words.

When I use Email to send a dictation to myself, the app crashes. The Email gets sent however. I have to restart the app every time. The old app had no issues with this.

The app works fine when I am online. However, there is no option in the settings to download voice packages and work offline. This is werid as the app details confirm this option to be found in settings!

Now seems Excellent.. but would crush at the 1st start.. very slow when adding the 2nd speech on the same page i have to put on and off to speed up the speech adding.. using Galaxy s8

not bad since it's not bloated with ads.... though, lacks many options... like the constant sounds notifications that cannot be turned off and the ability to manage notes from the app itself....

Honestly, I could not get it to work. It acted like it would, but would stop without warning after less than a second. Not worth the download time. Uninstalled after multiple attempts.
