It works very well, but Google saves a transcript and sends it to the app, which is very worrisome for a variety of reasons. There is no opt out option for that feature. Whether this data is used to improve the app's speech recognition capabilities or for illicit purposes one cannot be certain. Therefore, instead of a five star rating, I am giving it only 1 star. But, if you don't mind everything you record being public knowledge, it does an awesome job of converting speech to text.
The rating probably will go up after I use it but just with testing it. I have a disability that is unfortunate medicines rotted out my teeth. other keyboards don't pick my voice easily. this is really nice. I did so many tongue-twisting worda I can't say clearly and it picked up every word except for one and it's not a common word sure would be nice to record more than six words every time you press the button useless if you're using it for like I want to do my poetry or write
Good.Am using for creating tamil text.Even if pronunciation not clear it picks the right word. But I am not able to insert texts in a sentence.It create the text only in the end.Supposed I want to change a word in a sentence. I cannot edit it directly. I have to cut it, create a new text in the end, then copy and paste in the sentence where it is required and finally delete the text in the end. The editing option can be added. Otherwise fine.
It works very well while i speak in spanish, but if i speak with pauses it automatically stops, so i have to press the record button again. This means that if i am trying to thread a idea while speaking, the app becomes almost useless.
Good app does the job.. But cannot be edited in between. If we want to add a line in between and we keep the cursor and speak it automatically comes last only not where we kept the cursor.. One good thing is ad only comes when we share the notes. So interuptions in between. There is also problem with the words thus the though etc
First time. Not very good app. Can't record beyond a few seconds. Mic needs to pressed again and again. How will you do this if you are reading out a script? Too many ads which is bound to be there in a fremium app though. Not impressed. Need to hunt for a paid app.
Bad..too many ads, then Google pops up to remind me, this is being saved and sent to Google Assistant or something like that. I couldn't get past one lousy test text...that was all I did after repeated tries I kept getting interrupted. Later for this.
The app is good.The only thing that irritates me while typing , is handling the curser at the last line to edit and if we directly share the content without sving first it disappears. Auto save save function is not available. Hope it will be improved.
$5 plus tax.? Plus tax??? And it does not even read back in the person's voice. Come on people, update this. You should record the user's voice and read back in the user's voice. Like Otter! I thought this would be a better alternative to Otter, but oh well. Awesome program could use a keyboard pop up like the voice note programs.
Did not work did not work even once. Did not record or translate one single word. Google graphic in middle of screen this is bit original software . Just encoding and ads wrapped around a function that does not operate. Wish I hadn't wasted my time.
For travellers. It is very useful for question in short sentence repeatedly or step by step .So I gave 5 stars. But it cannot translate long sentences in one attempt. This is weakness of this app so it is not worthy to take even 4 stars. THANKS for successfully translation short sentence.
The microphone shuts off so quickly. When taking a breath it shuts off and have to re-press the button to keep adding each time. Seems to be no way to adjust it
It's very handy, I have typed lots of documents using this app. The only challenge I have identified is the app's inability to get punctuation marks correctly and to add new frequently used words or terms to its intelligence base.
Same as other raters, conversions stop immediately with any silence. Pretty useless for speech to text situations, however, it might work for texting if you're a one digit typist.
Eitherr increase the typing space, as it was before or scrap this app , I have already stopped using this.People try to improve , but this app is doing exactly opposite. They have suddenly reduced the Voice typing space by 75% , I had given five stars before , now I am withdrawing all that. I already got a better APP. PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS.
have just downloaded this app to see how it works. Will it work well? I will like to know how efficient it is. This app works well and so I love it. I am excited to see my voice being transcribed immediately as I spoke. Today (25/03/2020), I attempted using the app but it did not work, even after many trials. WHY?
Won't stay on you constantly have to hit the record button versus continuing your thought. I have to watch an ad at the time the whole time I'm trying to speak. Way to intrusive, won't be back, won't recommend!
Not much use because it keeps cutting out after a few short seconds. It does work well for those seconds though.
Stops after a very brief pause. Cannot save written text. Speech speed adjustment doesn't seem to work. No help or user instructions. PITA
I have paid Rs 566/- to buy the ad-free version of this app, but alas! I have lost my money; further, ads have multiplied and are 'pouring in in batallion'! I have requested a refund and am looking forward to app developer's response...
It takes getting used to . Having to restart after the slightest pause is quite frustrating.
It translates speech into text with great accuracy. I downloaded it just now. My first page was done with 100% accuracy.
At the outset let me congratulate you for a very welcome initiative. However, I have noticed some glaring blemishes like the voice recognition is not continuous and you have to press it on time and again. And the voice recognition is not that accurate and several mistakes have to be corrected manually. It should be AI based and should continuously adapt to the speaking style of the user. The most welcoming feature is that it offers offline voice recognition. Navigation needs to b better.
