Maximum speed might show wrong reading if GPS gets disconnected like if you are driving underpass or under an obstacle( under a Flyover ) that temporary disconnects GPS service.Although your device may show GPS is connected but behind the scene it gets disconnected.
1. Do not try to test the application by pacing around in the same small area.
2. This app works only OUTDOORS , so don't test this app indoors.
3. Make sure that the phone top side can see sky clearly .
4. On some devices (like Xiamoi running Lollipop or Marshmallow), due to security issues, it might take around 5 minutes to connect the GPS.

Great app! Very fast and effective. It could use better editing platforms. Mainly for what, where, and appearances. So you are able to totally customize your windows. Including the floating speedometer, when the app is closed in the background. Plus a few more choices. Like screen time out and the floating speedometer, when the screen is off. Still a decent app though.
Very good, does what it says. Had to buy quickly the Pro, as the normal one did put ads on whole screen while almost stopping (0--1 kmph) and then did not remove it for like 10 mins, when I had the chance to press the tiny (x) while on a stop-light. My main ”complain” is that I would like to see Average Speed all the time INSTEAD of Max Speed, which is of no real practical use (to me) but I dont seem to find the option....
To operate, very very accurate! A lot of additional features that make the paid Persian worth it! The only possible upgrade I can see that would be beneficial because more background color options and read out color options. The odometer, the trip meter, the compass, the elevation, and the speed read out are all amazing features! Highly highly recommend! I downloaded it for my iPhone as well!
I've been using this app for years now and am still very happy with it. At one point my car had sporadic trouble with its speedometer, which resolved itself mysteriously after just a view days and me having already made an appointment with my trusted repair shop. While being stuck with an unreliable internal speedo I looked for a short term alternative and found it with this app. And I've been using it from time to time, just because I like it quite a bit.
Opted for the ad free version because I use this app on my motorcycle. My gloves don't allow me to click anything on my phone so when I'd get an ad riding, I'd have to pull over and take my gloves off just to hit the X. But with no ads, no problem! I would reccomend maybe like a 5 second "timeout" kind of thing for the app you do have ads in. That way when the ad is done playing you don't have to use the phone while driving. Just wait 5 seconds and it goes back to the speedo. Just my 2 cents.
this app saved me so much money!! Dont waste your money on a tom tom or other devices just download this! i just bought the pro version to get rid of the ads but this is an amazing app, even on the regular version its not packed with ads. usually only when you are stopped it rarely pops up an ad while driving. its extremely accurate and helpful. my speedometer quit in my vehicle and i use this Everytime l drive. thank you so much for creating the perfect speedometer app that actually works.
Cool app so far, but haven't yet really shaken it out. Likes so far: Control over interface colors, sensitivy (I need to get more down & dirty) although config is super easy. Satellite mapping is easy and very fast--maybe best I've seen for this type of app, Font design is a big plus IMO. More later after foot/bike/car use. Highly recommend GPS Speedometer. Fist pump to the developer(s) so far.
It's a great app! Only one thing I would change/add is the ability to just minimise the app without having to enter in where you want to travel to. For example I find it easier to use the maps app to enter where I'm going, it would be easier to minimise the speedo then use the maps app seperately. This would be perfect.
Very accurate so far. A huge part of my job is driving g, and I get reimbursed for my mileage. The instrument panel in my car is going out so I frequently lose both my speedometer and trip meter. This app is a lifesaver for me! During the periods when my instrument panel is actually functioning, I compared it to this app and they matched EXACTLY, both speed and mileage. Very impressed! Best $1.10 I've spent!
Works great most of the time and then there's other times were it won't pick up satellites. I have another speedometer app that ive been using that works everytime and was free. The only down fall it is it doesn't have the big speed display like this one does. If they could fix the satellite issue I would give it five stars. Obviously its not a device or hardware issue cause there's more then one of us with this complaint. Besides if that was the case then others wouldn't work as well.
I found this app on Google Play, my speedometer and odometer stopped working. This app works really good. I wish I could import my records from the free app. Edit - 03/19/2019 Ok, cool. what do I need to do? 12/18/2019 - Hi since the update to Android 10 on Samsung the app has been crashing almost every time I try to use it. It either locks up or I just get the letters GPS in red on all the frames. Sometimes the click for address doesn't work either. Otherwise this is an awesome app. Thanks.
Having tested Speedometer Pro daily over the past six months on both Samsung S5 and S6, I have observed that when traveling in hilly terrain speed errors occur as high as 6 KMH above the actual speed, These speed spikes are indicative of a lack of smoothing in the software in the way GPS strings are processed and averaged. The satellite reception is never less than 10 satellites and normally 16 satellites. The speed error or spikes will occasionally occur on flat sections of roadway but is most pronounced when descending, where the greatest spike anomalies are recorded. This lack of smoothing is borne out by observing the operating app in a stationary situation displaying a a speed of up to 3 KMH. I have a requirement for a very accurate highest recorded speed and real time speed (100 - 110 KMH). Any assistance you can offer will be gratefully accepted.
Have Pro. Phenomenal except for one thing. When I turn it off, I cannot get it to turn back on without restarting my phone. That only started happening with the most recent update. Sorry to correct you. You did do an update in December of 2021.
Okay, so at first I downloaded the free version and got an ad. wasn't to happy about that. but then I found the pro version, and i gotta say it works great. tells me my exact speed (it takes no time at all to update my current speed) and I run it along side the yamaha app (split screen) and it works great!
Better than any bicycle computer you can buy, I have tried several bicycle computers and returned them all. I finally found this on Google play and its the best, large display lots of features seems to be very accurate! I spent the $1.10 for the pro version but the regular version was fine very few ads. Thanks for this very useful app.
Absolutely a great app to have. Speedometer quit working in my work van and I needed an alternative. The speed shown in the app is accurate. The big display makes it easy to see. Great app!
downloaded the free version was so happy with it I decided to upgrade to the ad free pro version. it's worth every penny for the price of a Sunday news paper I advise everyone to buy and show a little support. It's a great app I'm running andriod 8 works perfectly every time and judging by the company's responses customer services are high on there priority thank you.
Update this app has become very problematic and rarely works for me anymore. In the beginning it worked great. It now wont operate with a 91% satellite connection which is all its been able to obtain lately. The free version is doing the same thing. Not sure whats going on or why I cant get better connectivity.
Ads didn't bother me on the free version, but the developers deserve the £1.10 as others have said. Love the colour customisation. I have set the background to black with red text to match the other lights in the car. Split screen with google maps works perfectly.
was good till lately ....screen keeps popping up message .....do you want to reset your max speed .....makes this unusable .....trying to fix it now ... speedo pro working great so almost a year later and I use it almost every day ...Id recomend it to anyone.. I have a new phone ..can I transfer my paid app fee to this phone ....I havent found where to log on .....yet ...Thanks for the very USEFUL app....
Almost nothing works, weather says "Network error, please try again later, dev promised to fix, no fix. More importantly, the compass will not calibrate. On my old Note2 where I was planning on using this app, it will not even open. Total garbage, dev is not fast to answer, and sends useless sugestions(like, are you connected to the internet, and, that will be fixed in the next update, which has not come in several months)
Great app for my motorcycle. unfortunately message pops not supported anymore and not working. Would love to see a fuel gauge in there. Added: 1/21/19: Yes, only glitch in server, works fine now. love it. Think about the idea to add a fuel gauge, that would be unique. thanks for the quick response.
Don't mess with the free version! The 1 second you have to take your eyes off the road to dismiss it can have serious consequences! Aside from that, trust me, this is a truly awesome app! Especially when using the map/navigation feature. In there it shows an actual photo from your driving perspective of the intersection, on ramp, merge etc., BRILLIANT! No more, what's it look like, issues when you get there! A lot of thought went into this app. Its intuitive, accurate, easy to use.
