The app is straight and handy, with no tricky settings. Launch the app and place the phone onto the dashboard close to the windshield (if you want to use it in Head-Up Display or HUD mode and see the reflection on the windshield), or into the mount (for standard use). It's specifically designed to offer you a safe and non-distracting visual assistance.
HUDWAY Speedometer is a good company in any journey as it:— Knows current speed limitation (both within cities and on highways);— Works in both standard and HUD mode. HUD mode allows using your smartphone or tablet as a projector. Just place your device close to the windshield, and the screen image will get reflected and displayed on the windshield. Keep your eyes on the road — everything you need is displayed right in front of you!— Doesn't require much attention. The app is designed to be comfortably used without direct focus on it. Your peripheral sight will be enough to keep you aware.— Alerts on sped limits, as well as on speed cameras and radars.— Doesn't need Internet connection to work. Needs Internet only at first launch.— It simply works. And does it very neatly!
Attention!1. Continuous use of geolocation services (GPS and GLONASS) may drain your device battery fast.
2. On a clear day, the device screen brightness is typically insufficient to give a decent reflection for HUD mode. In that situation, you can use the app in standard mode with the phone fixed with some mount, OR stay HUD using our HUDWAY Glass accessory (learn more about it at hudwayglass.com). At night, in dusk, or in dull weather the reflection is normally well-discernible.
3. When driving, make sure that your smartphone or tablet is well fixed in some mount or on some sticky pad, and doesn't prevent you from clearly seeing the road.

It was gonna use it then read about getting charged and then I got rid of it
I bought Hudway Glass and find everything a real pain to use. My phone has soft buttons and this, and other apps from this developer, don't support this. So if you don't have a Samsung (exploding or not) or other brand with fixed buttons you will have to reset your phone just to exit this, and their other, apps. Very dissatisfied with the purchase. Let's have an urgent app update please. Also the app constantly forgets that it is pro mode activated and I have to constantly put the promo code in.
I ALWAYS like to try new apps BEFORE I purchase them. However, after I installed this app and briefly opened it for a quick look-see (didn't have time to do much else with it just yet), I noticed the next day my CC was charged for the app. There are a lot better apps out there than this one, but still a little pissed I got charged without authorization.
1/23/17 STILL NO RESONSE FROM DEVRELOPER. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. I subscribed for this useless app thinking it would give more which it dont on dec 31 2016 for yearly as this was the only choice. I WOULD ADVISE NOT GIVE THIS DEVELOPER YOUR MONEY. MY FIRST ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE ISSUE---- Today 1/7/2017 i get a email because THEY TRIED TO DOUBLE CHARGE MY ACCOUNT but couldn't because luckily i lost my card and put a hold on the on it on 1/5/2017. I found the card but have not reinstated. Anyway i paid the fee for a year on 12/31/16 and it only let me use for a few days. Please fix this or kindly refund the subscription as i did not receive what i paid for.
Love the app and payed for it, but you need to update the speed database. I am told I am allowed to drive 80 in almost all 15,30,40 and 50 zones. So please update the database.
App failed to load database. No obvious way to have it retry to load database. Useless without that information.
Speed limit database is very good. Audible and visual overspeed warnings are very good. This app is simple and works great.
I subscribed and it isnt using the database. I messaged the developer and they didn't respond. It says the speed limit is 60 every where i go, city, highway, doesn't matter
Seemed to work OK in general but I cancelled after first day trialling the service as the expected speed limits were never accurate here in Australia. Seems a flat 60km/h limit was assumed everywhere I went.

This app never loaded, alway said it was waiting to download area information
helpful, shows potential. would be nice if I could understand what some of the alerts mean? Would also be helpful if crowdsourcing the speed limits was possible, as in my area they are either out of date or simply incorrect. It says 55 a lot when I'm fairly certain the limit is 25.
