Great first impression, as I finally found the first ever free app that reads pdf, has a pacer, text-to-speech function. This app is so easy to use. But here's the thing, they cram pages into small fractions which is really confusing. There is also stops in between sentences. This makes you have to have to piece back what you have heard before to what they are now saying to make sense. The punctuations are all messed up which is a terrible idea when there's a LOT of examples in books.
I searched for ages for an app that would allow me to read an ebook quickly by showing one word at a time and this app is exactly what I've been looking for. Good stuff developers. One thing I thought of that would improve it would be changing the default settings to something better, because I had to tweak it a bit before it was perfect. I think adding a comma and period delay (200 and 400ms), a slightly smaller font (eg 32) and a small word length delay (20ms) would be better.
Fantastic in every way. Makes it so easy to stop and quickly re-read material if needed, intuitive and great integration with Google drive. By far the best spritz app you can get and for the super low price, the Pro version is an easy choice. Reading more than ever because of this app.
First impressions are positive. It needs some tweaking to get the punctuation and long word delay right but once there it's doing well. The app doesn't look quite as polished as I would like but generally I'm glad to have found it, the other speed read apps I've liked in the past haven't been updated in years
For Hindi (India) language, the text displays fine in text preview window but gets distorted in the speed reading (flashing spritz) part! Further, the last button (with minus sign) in the top row of buttons wraps to second line, making the interface look awkward and uncomfortable. Other than the above, the program works as intended.
Only true "speed reading" app out there as your "para view" mocks speed reading exactly as if done by pacer (finger) on actual book. Less rating due to these critical issues, after book is uploaded: 1. All words are jumbled together with no spaces. 2. The images/charts etc. disappear Would be ideal if: 1.books maintain thier exact original appearance & 2.App provides only a "chunk adjustable pacer" to speed read along the original book (para view) & RSVP feature separately (no Para view).
Since reedy disappeared from the play store I've been testing LOTS of alternatives. This app has all the features I wanted plus some I haven't found anywhere else. There are so many speed reading trainers and so few spritz based readers. Good work guys!
This does exactly what I thought it would. Full marks therefore. More color customization could be done, but I am satisfied with the options available. The option of having a machine voice was surprising, and I am not sure if I will use it.
Ok. Developers for some reason keep thinking that using jumpscare fullscreen video with sound ads is ok. It's never ok, but it's particularly not Ok in a reader app. Insta-deleted.
Probably worst speed reading app. It gets stuck and you are unable to open files. Deleting a book can be a cumbersome task. Overall bad experience. Though idea is great.
Shortened my reading time by half a decade. I don't care if takes time to load books, essentially my books are very large. Excellent reading tool, the programmer/s understand their code.
When using the audio function (text to speech) at 250 wpm, the reading will be ahead before the text is highlighted. If this can be fixed, it should deserve a higher rating.
Best app for speed read-listen to books, one suggestion, please add option to highlight paragraph in chunks (by underlining or putting square around chunk for user defined words)... This will improve in reading as well...
Most amazing among other competitor speed readers, as it allows blinking of eyes in between with reading delay features. I don't know why it has only 3.9 stars.
Bit slow and needs improvement on navigating books. Animated ads can be distracting. But is still better than other speed readers.
Awesome! Simple and powerful: dark mode, shows the full text as well, that's important because I like to switch between modes
Do your self a favour and study your notes on this. Easy to upload word docs and pdfs, and having the optional voice reading it back to you just makes you remember that much more.
Thank you so much for this app. Keep it simple and this USEFUL . Do NOT delete any feature .. if you wish you can add some.. really grateful to you... Take care .. Cheers ! Left one star because there is always a scope for improvement... Thanks once again !.
I'm very happy with it. It has. A very basic interface, yet, it does its job with no problem of compatibility whatsoever.
Its awesome. Just add one feature that shows after how much time the book will end reading at different speeds.
Probably the best app for reading fast. I'm using this to practice speed and comprehention and I can only recommend it for everyone wanting to do the same.
having ads in the app is understandable. but so many graphics heavy ads that take more than 5 minutes to load make this apo totally unusable... waste of time...
Greatest app for me, but the dash isn't moving, as I read, its stopped at one place, how do I resolve, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but same problem
Don't be deceived by the slick icon. The interface is ugly, cluttered, and made even more so by a permanent banner ad. Skip this one.
The Settings button is broken. I had to tap six times, only then it opens.
Great app for reading and extensive customisability for a free app.
Нет пробелов между слова в pdf файлах, читать невозможно There aren't any space between words in pdf file, so it's impossible to read in Russian language
Loading takes too long even with WiFi and it does not have all the books you want
I really like this app and I've read many books using it. What's important for me is that it handles well polish language and its specific letters, even in Spritz mode. The UI could be better, but it's good enough. The only (but quite big) issue I have is that in Premium version the ad bar is removed, so everything is moved up - including the Spritz bar, which then hides behind every phone notification I get, which is very annoying when you're focused on reading. So its actually more useful in free version than in paid one, at least for me. I hope the developer can remedy that somehow, maybe by adding option to move the Spritz bar down by set number of pixels.
