Speedy Bee

Okay just be aware of it's limitations. The blackbox analyzer doesn't work for one of my drones that logs to an onboard SD card. Also doesn't save or load logs from external storage so there's no way to manually open or copy log files. Same thing with flashing firmware as well. I have the speedy bee adapter 3, and I will give them credit because I was able to use the adapter cable to connect my drone directly to my phone, and then used the betaflight app to make the necessary changes.

Without sliders for betaflight this app is useless for pid tuning. Also I didn't notice a choice for actual rates. Not sure what else is missing as I closed the app at this point. Maybe a future release will be usable.

S21 ultra 5g. Question marks don't show anything, CLI gets frozen, app fails to open sometimes with a blank white screen or with logo picture, flight time doesn't sync all the time

AMAZING DEVS!! I USE THIS APP ALL THE TIME AND I HAVE LAPTOPS WITH WIN 7 SO THE EXPRESSLRS IS A BLESSING! I DOWNLOADED IT AND COULDNT CONNECT, I LEFT A MESSAGE ON YOUTUBE AND HERE AND I WOKE UP AND DOWNLOADED V1.6.7 AND YES! WOW MAN THANKYOU SO SO MUCH, IT WORKS! CONNECTS FINE AGAIN ,HAVNT HAD TIME TO TEST ALL BUT THANKYOU, I WILL SHAKE YOUR HANDS VIRTUALY!

Love this so. So useful in the field. Saved me several times today with different machines. It does everything!

Oh my god this solves the problem of nedding to drag my laptop everywhere just to configure a few things for my quadcopters while on the go at a shoot. It just makes life so much easier!

Loving this app and the Adapter 3! Makes OTG / field adjustments quick and easy. Also the devs are super quick to address any issues you may encounter. I think the app will continue to improve as small bugs are found, reported, and corrected. 5 stars!

I would have given 5 stars when the app was working fine two weeks ago. I use it along with a Speedybee Adapter 3. Today, all the betaflight tabs will open EXCEPT the one that matters, the PID/Rates tab. I need that to work for this to be worth anything. When I try to open that tab, it times out and the app shuts off like it was never on. This ruined my session for today. Pls fix ASAP.

Need a Bluetooth adapter in drone for this too work. Why can't it work via USB with phone?

I'm using this with a speedybee f7 v2 FC and betaflight 4.3. Convenient to use for config for sure. BB analyzer worked fine on BF 4.2 but after upgrading to BF 4.3 the BB analyzer crashes after downloading the file. Pls fix this as soon as possible.

Great app, but needs to be updated for inav 3 and 4 (missing several options). In the inav ports tab, there are now 10 options for peripherals in the inav configurator.

Do not update esc firmware with this app. The app crashed at 54% now esc 1 is bricked. Esc is now unusable. What a joke wish i never purchased this speedy bee stack.

This app is a steaming pile of garbage. Been chasing an issue for hours with my quad and it turns out the SpeedyBee app turned on a setting in the GUI but didn't actually turn it on on the flight controller. Even if you replug and rescan it shows the setting on, but when I go back to a PC the setting is still turned off. Don't waste your time. Use a PC.

seems to work great and gives me access to everything I would want from the BTFL desktop app. very handy! However, I cannot seem to get the demo mode working on my S9+ (usb otg). it says it's starting demo mode but then after a few seconds the app crashes. obviously not a big deal but it would be nice for this to work when showing it off to friends without a FC handy.

Settings in the app change after you save. Switches tab has issues with sliders changing position right in front of your eyes. Very frustrating. My arming mode slider kept changing to low output from where I had it saved. Quad wouldn't arm. Looked at it on PC to correct it. OSD and Post flight stats randomly change themselves and you don't know it about it until you arm/disarm and you have a bunch of stats you didn't select . This is still an issue after latest update. Dec 5-18.

My first time using this in the field. I went to change my idle speed and after I made the change and saved my settings my OSD was completely missing. Ruined my flying day. Had to get out the laptop and reflash Betaflight and setup everything again. This was on the CL_RacingF4 board. Im never using this app again. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

Unbelievably good software. Incredibly accurate betaflight app.

As with any revolutionary, game changing software it's not perfect, but the Devs have been working hard to work out the bugs and continue to show their commitment to making Speedy Bee THE go to app for all of our Beta Flight needs - without the hassle of having to lug around a laptop - with regular updates. Thanks Guys! This is the greatest thing since the development of the Tiny Whoop™!

Edit: My fault, the cable was not good, I must apologize! This app is great in that it supports just about all featyres, including mission control for inav (including via Bluetooth). Highly recommended. Not connecting via Usb any more. Not sure why, maybe my android Q upgrade broke it? Not sure, but cant use this anymore via USB

Can't set PID values. They keep changing to something else.

Much easier to do a calibration of the magnetometer or optical flow board in an outdoor area where you will be using your quad now that you can control operations with your phone rather than a laptop. My laptops are hopeless outdoors in full sunshine and you need full concentration particularly when you are doing an optical flow calibration. Peering into a dull screen full of reflections doesn't help at all. Doing magnetometer calibrations indoors is almost useless because of the steel reinforcing in buildings and magnetic fields from power cables and appliances. Magic app. Thank you.

**please note that this is an edit of my previous rating due to direct communication from the developers**This app is one of the best and most important apps that I use. Its convenient, well structured, and reliable. I had initially given 4/5 stars due to lack of firmware flashing capabilities, but I have been assured that it is coming. I will follow up on this review in the coming weeks to see if firmware flashing comes to fruition. Either way, you can't go wrong with this app.

It connects when it wants to connect but works when it connects

Worked great until it started messing up my modes on iNav Furious FPV F35. Cannot keep the slide bars in place.. they randomly change after being saved. Suddenly, ARM is around 1500 instead of 2000. Lost RTH function because of this.. need to use laptop to correct Speedy Bees mistakes :( Edit: Modes issue fixed! App working great again.

Speedy bee is, hmm, OK. However I suggest to everyone, get a USB OTG cable, or adapter (Samsung phones come with OTG adapter in the box,) and use the OFFICIAL Betaflight configurator for Android. The .apk can be found on the latest official Betaflight Configurator Releases page . You wont face the same permissions, and personal data agreements that speedybee requires. Sorry Speedy. Maybe this is why you were in such a hurry that you mislabeled the ports on your already obsolete device.

I freaking love it! It has everything I need, and I can do whatever I want on the field without a computer. But I came across a bit of annoying kind of bug: if I change from dshot 1200 to 600 or the opposite, all of my settings turn off in the configuration tab(such as: airmode, anti gravity, osd)please fix this issue and I will be as happy as a fpv drone pilot can be:)

I tried this using my Google Pixel 4a 5G and it won't connect. I contacted SpeedyBee support and they walked me through basic troubleshooting but never could get it to work. They didn't ask me to send logs or use the debug option in the app however. With my old Google Pixel 2 XL and Android 10 this works fine, but it has a failing battery and I'm not going to spend $100+ getting that replaced just to get this working.

Finally started to appreciate this app when i got the v2 of the bluetooth adapter, the V1 connected twice in like a year, Is there a way to directly connect the adapter to a pc's bluetooth?or is there an app for windows? In the scenario where i forgot every cable… will we see a support for Emuflight soon? Pretty please?!

This is hands-down the easiest I have ever worked with quads in the field. By far the very best app I have ever seen for this. Motor reverse is just too much to ask in there it is and free. I use it from quads as small as 60s all the way up to 250 racers excellent must have for any drone pilot. Make sure you have the right cord because it will not even register if you don't have the Good charge cord. And use a name brand OTG cable and you will have no problems.
