Seems to be able to connect to the USB programmer cable, but freezes the phone. This raises some questions whether the + of the cable is connected (which it by no means should if connecting the battery) and of the quality and functionality of the app. In its current state the app is useless when used with the USB cable.
Galaxy S9+: As mentioned in previous reviews, the position of graphics covers the numerical values in gain/rate/priority adjustment modes. During periods of adjustment, the bluetooth will drop requiring a power recycle and reconnect. On several occasions on initial use, it shut down my AR9350T and forced a re-bind each time, otherwise it would not power on. Aside from these issues, it's working and allows the necessary programming to utilize the AS3X functionality. Screw apple IOS.
This app is straight trash. Will be emailing to try to figure out some of the bugs but expect it to be pretty much unusable for programming a receiver. Settings either don't save, don't reset or don't allow you to change them as they should.
Stay well away from this app and the AS3X product in general. Wasted money on 636a rx's and both the audio cable which is no longer supported for android and the Bluetooth module. I've been a big supporter of Spektrum products for over 15 years but no longer. The app is so bad that i have no confidence in whether the rx's are setup correctly. I'll be flogging off my Spektrum gear and switching brands.
Really disappointed you pay big bucks for something that is supposed to work well but doesn't. Never had problems with my dx8 gen 1 but the new stuff is terrible I'm thinking of selling my spektrum stuff and switch to something more reliable. The prices for the ix transmitters are crazy O_O and work with Android but my phone with the same software doesn't work well figure it out. Not buying a portable PC to program my heli at the field
okay this review is after extensive use of this app on a google pixel phone....its not good at all compared to finally finding out a iphone is perfect with this app...when you use it on Android it disconnects from Bluetooth very regularly and you have to toggle the battery which wouldn't be so annoying but when you in the middle of setting throws and stuff its makes it incredibly difficult and frustrating...please use iphone with it instead miles easier...
This app needs to be updated. On start up when programming a model if you click the wrong button it erases the model in the AR636. Plus it should not force you into uploading or downloading the model. It junk at best and doesn't work correctly. I'm not happy and want a full refund.
App not working at all for my Rx with Android.. I am having same bad experience with many others in the review list. Spectrum, please correct the problem as it is totally useless for the cable I bought.. and I don't think I have to buy an iPhone just because of spectrum software issue for my Rx .
Wont size to fit screen correctly, very slow to respond. Losses connection to bluetooth module. May be better on the iOS but on android it's all but useless.
Interface is awful. Audio cable doesn't work, forcing you to pay more for the bluetooth cable. Layout is confusing.
Complete trash...bought all the cables..followed all instructions...over and over and over. Waste of time and money. No the Bluetooth cable does not help.
Crashes before I can even get into set up. Will not find my receiver AR637T Possibly I'm using an older Android version. See no updates anywhere.
Total garbage, tried it on a Samsung A10 and a Samsung galaxy Tab A, crashed both every time I tried to set up my AR636 as3x receiver, will stick with Orange receiver and Hobby Eagle 6axis gyro both work as expected, won't be wasting anymore money on spektrum products
Absolute garbage, crashes, wont connect, connects then reboots, total waste of money buying the adaptor, shame on you horizon for releasing such a shambles of an app.
I am a big supporter of HH products, but am seriously disappointed in this case. HH tech support has no clue. Have a $160 Rx that I bought for all the promised features. I hope the PC version will work. If not I will be returning it. There are other well proven options.
Graphs are all over the screen and can't see what the values are. Heading gain can't be adjusted at all.
The receiver manual says to consult the app manual for instructions to engage AS3X. The app manual does not exist. There is nothing in the app itself regarding how to turn on AS3X. This is beyond frustrating.
Garbage. Wont stay connected. Freezes. Loses contact with ar637t. Waste of 15.00 for the bt adapter. Very confusing with no good instructions .
Only works with BT1000 Bluetooth adapter. Does not work with audio cable!
tried to download the app on to my PC. it tells me it is installed on my phone it isn't installed on my phone and it won't install on my PC. my AR 636 dropped it's bind and when I finally got it to bind again the elevator was backwards from the DX6
will not download to AS3X receiver using my new SAMSUNG S10 Android, change to my apple 6s IOS and does it straight away:( very frustrating
I could not get the app to sync with the receiver on my samsung phone. Boooo
In the first usage I tried to connect the bluetooth device with the bluetooth settings of my Nokia 8. That wrong, do not do this. Simply allow the application to steer bluetooth. Start the application and the application it self will connect to the SPMBT1000 and you can choose it and it will work. I would like if the vendor would provide a bit more better documentation. The remaining problem is, the bluetooth connection often get lost. Keep an eye on the adapter, if the yellow led is off, the connection is lost.
