Really enjoy this game, clever concept and I like the way it looks and sounds. I like how the game encourages some strategy with gearing up for different enemies but doesn't make it too complicated. I did pay to get the ads removed. The game can be very grindy, however for me I just enjoy the gameplay regardless of the level so this doesn't bother me at all. My only issues are (1) wish the lives refilled faster, and (2) new enemy info should be given *before* level starts to equip properly.

So I enjoy the game itself, it's a decent casual boggle-type game. But it has several technical issues that make it much less fun, such as the ads not working. I don't mind when there's ads on free games, but none of them load, it just sits there spinning and it never ends, so I have to restart the app every single time an ad comes up, which is frequently. And you also can't look at your own stats because the menu is misaligned.

Its cool to play and I'm so glad to find a less boring word game, but I will admit it gets a bit repetitive. Love the concept but there's really no story there just spelling and killing zombies/monsters. Each level that I went to looked pretty much the same. There is a life, potion, and accessories component but I just didn't care enough about it. Not a bad game just not a game ill be playing long term. Im not giving up on these developers though. They're moving in the right direction :)

I have 2 points that I think would improve gameplay. The first is not making the letters animate and float to the top while typing. While they do leave faint impressions behind, those are hard to see so setting up your next word becomes difficult. Better to do something like highlight as you tap. The other point is that I wish we could see a word list after rounds. Every app uses it's own dictionary set, so this would give a better idea of what's valid in general. That said, this is pretty fun.

While this game is nominally free, it's very much pay to play. At first, I didn't mind paying to eliminate ads. However, it's hard to progress in this game if you don't spend cash. You're bombarded with offers to pay for upgrades and if you want to earn more gold for free, you have to re-do previous levels. The level themselves can be beat in 1 min. or less, but re-dos cost one of your 5 lives and you have to wait 30 minutes to re-generate a life, which is time-consuming and frustrating.

Decent game except for 2 major flaws: Ads don't play correctly, instead freezing the game, forcing a reset. When replaying levels, lives run out too quickly for a game with no free to play method of gaining extra lives. this would not be an issue, but replaying levels is the only free way to get the gold required to level up your equipment in order to advance in the game. Easy solution: fix ads, and don't charge lives for replaying completed challenge levels.

They've screwed me over. I spent $10 buying the upgrades and put in a ridiculous amount of time to make it to level 90 (out of 100) and upgrade all the equipment. Then there was an update and ALL of my progress was reset, including my purchases; it's all gone. I submitted a help request, but am currently being ignored. If they ever help me, I'll revise this.

It's a fun game, but the ads kill it for me. An ad starts to play, then a spinning circle appears in the center of the screen, and no matter how long I wait, nothing happens. I have to go to my recent button, remove the app, then open it again if I want to keep playing. I have to do that EVERY time an ad appears. Not worth it. Ads appear often.

ALL OF MY PROGRESS WAS LOST. There was an update and all of my progress was lost. There is also now a glitch on the screen so I can't see the the longest word any more at the end of the round. I want to revert to the previous version or get my progress back. I wanted to give the developer time to respond to my requests for help before I posted. There has been no response for over a week. Update at your own risk!!! NEW UPDATE did not help. Glitches are still there and progress was reset again.

The game is excellent and very well built! The gameplay is fun and balanced ant I recommend everyone to try it! 1 star taken off because of the features of costing a "life" to play each level of the game. Having to either wait a long time to get back to playing or paying money to get the lives to refill "lives" to play the game is just a plain douché mechanic....

Pretty early on it's kicking you off the different rounds for not being able to come up with words fast enough. Evidently this game isn't made for kids. It doesn't let you get very far before it makes it too hard and you just can't succeed. I was really excited about this game because I thought it was just right for me. I used to play a game that had to do with a bookworm and it was much easier to get through the rounds and didn't start kicking you off very early on like this one did.

Great game, a BIG, BIG but though... **DO NOT INSTALL APP** * Game does an insanely great job at masquerading as a non-pay-to-win-game. It has cheap and good one-time purchases such as a gold multiplier for like $2 and a second permanent daily chest for like $2. * You will be able to die 5 times, then wait 30 minutes for 1 life or pay $1 to restock, LOL. * Game is extremely pay to win, you can spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars and still not max your character (extra equipment and base damage/health). * If you reset your progress, naturally you keep your items that you paid in real life money for and only start at level 1, nope, developer removes everything you bought as well, and kindly ignores your e-mails. I have issued refunds on all my purchases to Google Play, shady developer, don't touch! To end with, it is a great game, ruined by the developer. Play it on the Switch or something if you want to play without having to spend $1 every 30 minutes.

It's a fairly simplistic game that's not entirely un-fun, it would be a good time waster if it wasn't so insanely expensive. You get maybe a few minutes of playtime a day, then literally any other play costs a recurring sum. This kind of game is the worst kind of thievery; the idea that they are 'free' when in reality they actually can't be bought for any reasonable sum. Paying $60 for a PC game is a bargain by comparison. Do not play this. It's not worth your time or effort. There are many other word games that are much more challenging and interesting and actually charge a reasonable and fair price.

An enjoyable word game that can be very frustrating in trying to earn enough coins to buy upgrades. My tip is to buy the gold boots (no ads then) and play in the endless dungeon to build up your coins.

The principle is not bad, but there is little hope of actual progression in the game. Then, redoing the levels really doesn't help much beyond the first time.

Ric. N. Aug 2, 2019

so far the game is fun but none of the in app purchases have any prices and when I click on one it never loads. game freezes every ad because they also never load. if ever they fix the game I'll change my rating to a 5

I have this on the Nintendo switch and my phone because I love this game that much. Can't get enough of it. Super addictive, well thought out, and you don't need a lot of brain power to play, even kids who are educated enough can play. Lovely graphics, and I love the humorous puns you put into this to make it more appealing and enjoyable. I hope that there will be a spellspire 2 or something. I love how educated it is, plus fun, all at the same time. Keep it up 10ton game company 😳😅❤️😍🤩 100%

Great game until the latest update wiped out all progress. Meaning all upgrades bought are now redundant. Thankfully at present it seems like the purchase options are stuck, hopefully no one else will get swindled!!!

If you love words and magick this game is perfect. I was hooked from the first time I played, its like this game was made personally for me! Love it! And if youre intelligent enough to play in airplane mode or with wifi off then you never have ads. Why dont people get that?!?!?!

Dus. B. Feb 4, 2022

I pause the game to exit out of it for one minute figuring I'd keep my place when I come back in the app, but instead, I just one of my lives in game that I have to wait 30 minutes to get back or pay to get back. Uninstalled.

in the end i think the game is not worth my support even after i paid to remove ads. i see lots of 1 and 2 stars in the review but the game score is still not reflect those review . very sus.

There are words in the dictionary but it is not treated as a legit word in the game. Like 'talon' and some others which I can't remember ready.

Tod. M. Jun 14, 2019

what kind of word game doesn't accept real words. It won't accept guilted but it does accept guilt. Also, the play is designed to force you to pay for more lives. I've never played a hame before where you lose a life AFTER winning a level! Deleting as soon as i post this review.

I liked the animations but the concept isn't good, I liked the games concept of "Word charmer: Spell the Magic" more as it was more similar to bookworm adventures.

Game freezes on ads, have to reset the app to fix. This is happening on my phone and tablet.
