From what I see it only works on android phones. Comes standard on KitKat 4.4 of which is the newest OS. Its like they say this is great app available in KitKat but don't say "this only works on KitKat". Guess that's the nice way of saying your phone is old and it ain't going to work. Tried downloading the "nexus camera" app but does not work there either. If wrong please post the correct answer. Android on 4.1.2 can't upgrade to 4.4
I too was very frustrated to find that my galaxy S5 was not supported, but I downloaded the free Google camera app, and that has a sphere photo option built right in. It did a surprisingly good job too. It looks terrible while you are taking the pictures, but at the end it does some stitching magic. To find the picture when you are done, swipe left. That took me a bit to figure out too.
Like other reviewers, I get a message that my camera is not supported (Moto X 1st gen). It looks like the last time their website or blog was updated was mid-2014, so I think this app was abandoned by its creators. Most confusing is that my Android is the same vintage as their last updates, so I'm not sure why the phone would not be supported.
Doesn't support my phone camera, requires account creation before telling you that, and the user interface is terrible (there's 20 different social things to do in the app, but creating a new photo sphere is completely buried in all the other crap).
It won't let me sign up via Facebook, Google or manual method. Then it just gives me an error saying cannot log in. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same thing. Good idea, terrible execution.
Because it didn't mention if our camera is supported or not. I've downloaded, installed, open and browsed some pics but when i tried to take my own it says your camera is not supported. What's the use of this if we can't take our own pic? It will be better if the developers expand their supported devices. Sent from xperia t2 ultra dual.
It has a nice Internet gallery, but my Motorola's 16MP 4K camera is not supported. I am surprised that such a modern camera isn't supported. Although, I did enjoy the internet photos, but the inability to take a picture really disappointed me.
Good idea with very limited to no support for android camera! What it can do if I cannot take the photo by myself! I do not know whether it was actually nougat android system or not.. please fix it and I will change my comments and star on your app. My device currently OP3 nougat beta
So now my Camera is not supported on a Z3? Real shame, until then - 1 star. /// The app itself is great - although straight up view would be nice. Works totally fine, and depending on the setting can work wonders - not so good indoors. Put some work into the sharing functions (i.e. Facebook loads a set of thumbnails but not my specific image?).
Okay first it does not let you log in unless you use your email (facebook and Google plus does not work "sorry there was an error on the login."). second one you're done with login you will tap on the a sphere then it will say" camera not compatible" or "no camera found" P.S. I have a high performance tablet with a amazing camera.
Camera not supported, i have a Note 4 one of the best phones available, sort it out, spent 20mins downloading in rome and doesnt work
I have the HTC One, and it opens the camera, but won't allow you to take anything but the initial picture. Even if the camera is set down and still, the app thinks it's rotating and moving around. Could be a fantastic app once it's tweaked more.
What a shame, the app does not support my camera on my new sony z3. Hope it gets updated soon
It says camera is not supported. What type of camera I must have. I am using Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo.
Could be great... but I wouldn't know. I was hoping for an app like the bubble app for iOS, but unfortunately this app has no support for Galaxy S3.
I tried different account I.e FB, Google & Sphere account but failed to login. Login error message appears all the times.
Despite the fact I'd already signed up with one of my accounts, it doesn't let me sign in. My phone is a Moto G
It says: "Sorry, your camera is currently not supported". Don't waste your time installing because you'll have to waste your time uninstalling.
You should check this problem immediately that's why I gave 2 stars.
But its useless till you guys add support for LG G2. I mean real support for the camera. I now get the options to capture but then i pres the circle button to start it says "camera unsupported "
-Realigning nature to an aspiring device software is an ingenious idea. You really feel like you're rolling a video.
it's hard to believe that the number phone, the Galaxy S5, isn't supported. So disappointing. I was hoping to use the app with my students.
Why put an app here that allows you to install then says your camera is not surported. How dumb is that. And that on a SG3.
K, impressed. Just did my room. NO PROBLEMS! I see several note 2 owners grumbling. I think the devs did a great job! Big Cudo's to u guys. I have hedged 1 star for future reference and updates.
Wasted my precious mb's for this scrap which says "camera not supported " but google camera with photo sphere is working in my phone.....
When ol when will you allow more people to use this app.
I take the first shot, aligning it with the circle, then it acts like its having a seizure and the "sphere" spins and then exits
I have a new Galaxy s5 and my camera not supported, what a shame. When I had an s3 I waited months for my camera support, nothing happened. Now the same with the new phone. Fix it or give us information..... This app will keep getting bad rating till its fixed.
The concept is great, but the app needs some tuning. Hard to navigate and discover things, it doesn't allow to geotag afterwards, so if you have upladed a sphere taken earlier it won't appear on the map, but most of all,it has a bug that doesn't let me upload spheres (or at least it looks like it). Such a shame!
