SPIN — Electric Scooters

Not a great experience so far, I've been able to add $10 to my account but it requires me to verify my age by scanning my ID but the app won't scan it, I sit and wait and wait and nothing happens. There is no button to manually scan it. Tried contacting support, haven't heard back, contacted support 2 more times to get a refund and still haven't heard back.

AWFUL!! Horrible experience. We were able to rent scooters easily enough but ending the ride was IMPOSSIBLE to the tune of $181.!!!!! We were even in a "redistribution area". Sending messages thru the Help function in the app is unreliable and trying to reach a human on the phone is impossible. Now my money is being held hostage while they "review" the "issue". Infuriating. If I could leave negative stars I would.

I like the app don't have too many problems but for about a month now it stopped letting me add new cards to my account, had to download it again bc I got a new phone and i added my friends card bc I couldn't pay it first but now I can't add my own. I've download it many times again and I have all the requirements to run the app, please fix I have lost my transportation

Don't Use. It wouldn't let us end the ride Phone Number isn't any good so Sent an email. The app said we were in a no parking area but were at a charging station. There wasn't anywhere on the map that was a parking area. A bunch of crooks just trying to steal from people

I guess I have to stop making fun of people on scooters now. The scooters are the best of the different rentals I've tried and their customer service is really good. It would be awesome if the app would send your phone a notification when you park and wander off, forgetting to end the ride. I still dig Spin, but miffed that I can't use Google pay for the unlock pass. It's credit card only. Spin does not need my CC info. This was irritating enough, I logged in to cut a star and complain.

The ability to unlock these scooters is very poor and you say its free to start yet I was charged last time I used one (haven't since) £7.20 and I had nothing but problems last 2 months ago I haven't used any since but if you was to change the way it operates, meaning the ability to unlock spin scooters like when using the app and QR code scanned it takes ages to unlock so need more improvements (connectivity)

Honestly, if you need to get somewhere don't use these scooters. Where I live almost every area near the buildings I need to go are always no parking zones. It defeats the purpose of me even renting one. It adds more time to my commute instead and I have to struggle for at least 10-30 minutes to find a place to park when I'm pressing for time. Genuinely stupid that I have to be charged during all of that struggling. Hate this app with a flaming passion.

Scooters need a clip for mobile phone holding in order to improve navigation. Indicators and lights like the Voi scooters would also be an improvement. Very few designated parking areas near my home, despite being a busy residential area. More people would use these around where I live if there were a parking area nearby.

Broken brakes, glitching app, too high of rates. One of our scooters randomly stopped and turned off on its own but was still charging us $$. Cool concept but super annoying in the end.

Terrible App Design! Why don't you show a map before people rent the scooter since you have made the most convoluted maps of restricted areas in every city your in. The restricted zones make trying to get from A to B a minigame as while you are riding you have no idea what is restricted and what isn't. But don't worry you will get an annoying beep and the speed throttled which is good when you are trying to drive responsibly but don't fully control your vehicle.

Sometimes at the most inconvenient times, the app decides to not show the "ride" button and so i cant get on a scooter. Also there will be times when i go to try and park it at an area where a bunch of other scooters are parked and it will say im not permitted to park here. So i have to find another parking place and just hope the app lets me go there. When these problems dont happen the app is great !

While this app and service is great when it's working, I've encountered what I think is a glitch in the app that is preventing me from riding any scooters. I have contacted customer support 4 times across the past two weeks since I first encounters this incident and have not received one response. I can't believe customer support can be so bad for this service when there are so many other options in my area.

The prices can be a little high for short trips however out of all the various scooters in downtown Seattle this one definitely has the most power and the smoothest acceleration curve. I do wish they would make the power kick on a little sooner you have to push it yourself a bit before it will activate and this causes a little more of a delay than I would like since we are supposed to be in the same Lane as cars. Tho not that hard to account for by watching the light and getting started early

I thought using spin would be a faster way of getting where I was going. But since they limit your first ride to 8mph, I was wrong. They replied that my issue wasn't actually an issue because it was my first ride, but I can't find it stated anywhere in the FAQ that the first ride is stuck in slow mode. They closed my ticket before I could reply to it. Don't use this service unless you are prepared to be charged double for your first trip and be ready for horrible customer service.

It's fun and cheap, but kinda slow for me. The top speed is 9 MPH on the scooters I've used. That's plenty fast to get you from point A to point B safe and sound, but I'm a speed demon and need a bit more juice! Even increasing the top speed to 12 MPH would be plenty. Aside from that, they're convenient and offer a fun ride, if you live or work in a supported city!

Great way to quuckly travel and see all the outdoor areas. Maneuvers around tight areas well. Rented for 24 hours. Great deal. Best to start late morning so available for next day morning travels. Hours of standing and bumping on hips and knees was painful though.

I'm a new user so some of this may be operator error. The app locked up, wouldn't load the map. Closed/reopened, forced closed/reopened, finally rebooted to get it working. Then I couldn't add funds. Then I couldn't unlock a bike nor report the problem and paid $1.08 for that privilage.

Seek, discover, explore is thier tagline. Did they tell you that has intermittent GPS issues. Oh yeah, did they tell you there are invisible areas you're not allowed to enter and due to the same GPS issues the bike might lock you out of using it thinkd you're in those areas? Walk, jog, run; you'll be doing that instead.

Great scooter company. Good customer service and I have never had a scooter break down on me. Quick and reliable transportation. Love having this option when travelling around downtown especially. Also, it's a pretty safe mode of transportation as long as you follow a few common sense rules. Thanks Spin. Good job.

Didn't like it. Confusing app because if we can't ride in the red zone then how can we park at the designated parking space by spin which is in blue colour and in the red zone. At least I can't understand. Also I tried parking at the blue p spot as shown in the app, the ride didn't end. There was no option to end the ride. Which confused me a lot and I had to go back somewhere it shows to end the ride. I didn't like it. Will never use it again. Walking or bus is great.

I tried 3 different scooter and none of them would go, ended up getting charge $2 on each for a total of $6... i couldn't even contact support. I filled up the ticket and it would give me an error that ticket could not be submitted

This app keeps crashing or not connecting when you try to finish a ride or it says that it finished and then you get notified an hour later that the damn scooter has been bleeding your card dry. Not worth it! Use another scooter service that's more reliable.

Most Def convenient thing around especially when your supposed ride is supposed to pick you up and never shows up because they fell asleep and ya so this is the most helpful convenient thing out here in my area anyway!!!!!!

It's great very helpful and the scooter and bike ride very smooth way smoother than any other ones I've had the pleasure to ride by far go ahead take a spin around town. The first of many:).

I love it but...Here in Fayeteville, Ar is also Veo, I used Veo Ride but their motors are disgusting, they are too slow and they don't accelerate, however Spin is different! It has some good engines, good power and speed!!! you don't need to drive it, but it would be nice if they designed new scooters but with the same or better power! you give Veo ride a new competition, the designs of their scooters are phenomenal compared to Spin's.

Won't let me park it anywhere. Almost got me hit by a car while riding past a park losing power going up hill in traffic with out warning is dangerous. Won't be touching them ever again.
