Spite & Malice

Alright gameplay, but sometimes it doesn't pick up the right card or put it in the right place. Also, the easiest difficulty isn't even remotely easy. There's no difference between easy and medium. You'd think an easy difficulty would make some mistakes, but no. When they get down to 5 cards, you know you're losing the next turn. The AI almost always gets all wilds in the last 5.

The game is really fun, the only issue I've had is that there's been a bug recently where it would auto play a card or 2, then skip my turn. It also wouldn't pick up any more cards before this so I would start the round with 3 cards instead of 5. This has lost me quite a few games, and it's kind of annoying so I hope it gets fixed

A fun and different game to kill time with. I have played other North Star games and this is just as good as the rest of them. Smooth play, good graphics, and ads are not overly intrusive or drawn out. One suggestion for game play though; as in the Rummy 500 game, a "RECALL" button would be a welcome addition to this. Sometimes a play is not registered correctly to a slip or a errant finger movement and there is no way to undo the mistake. I've lost a couple of games due to my mistake.

Update: one year on from my initial review and I'm still enjoying this game. Ads are non-intrusive and pretty sparse. I haven't encountered any bugs. The art is a really great mix of US old western and steampunky feels, with a touch of gothic. The AI is solid and challenging. If you're feeling too hard hit by it, you can step it down to easy The interface is intuitive. If you like playing Spite & Malice (AKA Hate, Hand and Foot, Skipbo), this is for you.

Games are pretty short but not timed so its relaxing. Some strategy. Great game when you have a few minutes to wait or to relax with. I downloaded it for the name, it's not that spiteful, but cool idea. I've been playing for a couple years now and keep coming back. Great theme, minimal ads. Edit. I've been playing for a couple years now. I may quit for a whole but keep coming back. I like their other games too.

Been playing this game for a long time now. Recent, I have noticed the algorithm has changed. There is no possible way that being random deals the bot can always get so many cards in order while all I cam do is set it up to play. And it almost always has a wild card to end. What has happened? The game used to be fair.

One thing that the game allows is the ability to leave after a play . On several other apps this is not possible. Also the full screen mode is super. Thanks for a great game ! I do wish the coputer were a little less bright some of the time ,, ha ha.

The gameplay is fun, the artwork is adorable, and customer service is awesome. I gladly paid money to remove ads. I do wish there were more sound effects and more cute animations. I bet you can make a story mode as well if you wanted. Please keep updates coming!

UPDATED - Out of all my games that I have downloaded and played, this game is the only one that either I don't get tired of or don't like and delete. I can play this game for hours and not get bored with it. The only thing I'd change is making it so that you can open things up more by getting giving out more green paw coins. It's fun and challenging!

Automatic Play, can the dev team fix the automatic play. Or have the option to use it or not. Its very annoying when you are stacking cards and it plays some random and allows your opponent to have an out.

Fun game with interesting animation. Have to take off some stars for the incessant ads and some game play. I would like to have a backbutton for fat fingers or for replays when an opponents move was good and they went through half their deck in one shot.

I like it a lot. Wish you could buy it to eliminate ads. It will be the reason I tire of it and install it vs beciming obsessed. Also would be nice to be able to lock it profile or landscape, not have it randomly change at the slightest tilt

I love this app and the game itself. I love the steampunk-ish/carnival asthetic! The only complaint I have is that you get very little coins after each win so it takes forever to build up the coins to unlock another mode of game play.

The main problem i have is the extremely long lag between each card played when playing against real players. Idk if it's a problem caused by poor programming or a weak game server but either way it needs to be fixed.

I would give five stars but there are entiry too many ads. After every game I have to watch at least 1 ad, 2 if I want to double my coins, etc. It's exhausting, time-consuming and takes away my desire to play.

Great game. Using stragedy to thwart opponent is satisfying. What is annoying is when your opponent has the last winning card but they empty their whole hand before playing it. Slow players are very annoying.

The ads have become excessively intrusive. You have to wait through 3 different x buttons to clear it and there is time before each if them so it just keeps hogging your screen. On top of that they often appear after every game, no matter how short it lasted

I used to like this game, but they added adds before every level and when I try to escape or close them it causes the game to restart. I cannot even get into the game to play most days. Uninstalled.

This use to be an AMAZING game. I loved it. Now the ads have taken over. The x to stop ads doesn't work anymore and I have to restart the game to get rid of them.... very frustrating. I contacted support but received no help. Too bad it is a great game

Fun, but riddled with agressive ads. I really like the mascot. She's cute. The game itself is pretty fun. Though can also feel rigged at times. The game is inherently luck based, but there's been way too fishy comebacks from my opponent. The real issue is there are too many ads. An ad after every game is so tedious. And they are aggressive ads too. No timers in them, have to wait for usually 3 ads at a time, and clicking the x to exit out of them will often go to the ads page anyways.

I like the game.. you can play against the computer.. once you know how to play the game, it's easy to maneuver.. Couldn't find tutorial though..

Enjoyable so far. Ads seem a bit long - that's becoming irritating. UNDO button would be helpful! Sometime a slip of tapping to close to a card picks the wrong card and no recovering!

I enjoy the game, beginner level 1 was horrible because the computer would always win. I was going to give up then decided to try medium. That level is far.

I like this game a lot but I notice a glitch or maybe someone hacks the game idk. But sometimes like 5 or 6 of my turns will be played without me making a move. My turns will just be discard after discard and I know that I didnt touch my phone because I set it on my knee waiting for the other person to go. Please explain this?

Getting in and out of the game is confusing. Too many moving graphics. When I'm need to close out the game, it's hard to find the right button. Canasta is much clearer.

Fun games, good layout. Ads aren't too intrusive. Only complaint is there seem to be a lot of lost connections/server timeouts.

At too many times, the levels of difficultly reflect how much the hands dealt favor you or the AI rather than who is the better player. There have been multiple times that I've seen the AI start a run, put the phone down, come back and it's still playing it's hands. The reverse is also true. I've gotten amazing hands that lead to landslide wins. The fair games are great, win or lose.

Fun but to many 35 sec ads, like before and after every game. Not only one long as ad but there's a 2nd ad that's 5-20 secs after that one. Ive deleted the game at this point. It is inferiorating.

The AI is clearly given a hidden advantage which makes playing this game frustrating. Just play regular skip bo and don't waste your time with this poorly designed and predatory app.
