Very disappointed in Google and SplashID Pro! I too paid my subscription and have trouble getting into it. I've been using this for approximately 15 years. I just paid it through Google playstore and yet when I go into the app it says I need to pay. Out of curiosity I clicked on that message and it gives me an error saying I've already paid. It takes 3 or 4 times to get into it!
This app is a great tool. But I can't use the number keys at the all. My spashid has a number in it and for the life of me I don't know how to get a number to output. And for whatever reason it lost some of my records.. It might be a problem synch'ing with the Windows 10.x,which runs on the tablet. I uninstalled it then installed it to see if it was during an upgrade.
I have been using SplashID since the Palm days, I got a lifetime license when I migrated to the Mac. A few months ago, I found that it would not sync with my phone unless I upgrade. Then I found some bugs and contacted tech support. Nickolai refused to help. The conversation degenerated into a high pressure sales pitch from him to pay for an upgrade in June. The upgrade is here, and I find that I need to pay for the Pro version to sync. Good bye SplashID! Your money-grubbing has lost you a fan!
I have used this app since the Palm platform...seems like maybe 15 years or so. I have seen innumerable improvements and increasing maturity in the developers, and remain very happy with it. To date I have nearly 700 entries for everything from passwords to paint colors and birthdays. From time to time a glitch pops up as with any app. The tech support response has always been good. Be patient as no user is the only user with a problem. For those having issues with subscriptions or licenses, just email support and explain. In my experience, they will correct any billing or license error. Correspondence that is clear and polite will always yield better results. I recommend this product without reservation.
After using Splash ID for years. I all of a sudden kept getting an error message that said my license had expired. After upgrading from Note 8 to Note 10 plus. It would not let me carry over my passwords to the new device. But my records showed I had paid for the license. Concerned I emailed the SplashID crew in hopes they could help me. They responded within 2 hours and let me know that I was mistaken and my license was expired. But reset it so it was usable. Thanks SplashID!
I have been using this app for years without incident. More recently I had to change my email address. I had been fearing this due to how the email address is used by the app. I found a support document on their website and followed the instructions prescribed and was pleased to have the end result as intended. I see several reviews hear that indicate others have had significant problems with the app; however, that is not my experience.
I have been using SplashID for many years and love it. It does as advertised. The menus are clear and overall it's a pleasure to use the app with my PC Windows 10 desktop and my android phone. I have used their tech support several times. Their responses are timely, detailed and clearly addressed my issues. I have never experienced better tech support. Overall - highly recommended. .
Restarts every time I close the app now and I have to set it up from scratch. Time to find a new password manager. UPDATE - started working again, but there are still some bugs around the way some of the data is displayed and synced across devices, so only four stars.
Exceptional I've been using this program for years. YES, you have to pay for it but it is well worth it. It's been on my computer for years and now on my android phone. I don't use the cloud sync I use the wifi one. Works 110% each and every time. Does everything it says and then some. Five plus stars for sure.
Have used SplashID for years & years and loved it, but they pushed their new version 8.3.2 a few days ago which now crashes immediately if you edit any record! When will this gets fixed? URGENT! Update: The SplashID Support team fixed the issue. They were responsive & helpful. Thank you. Changing back to 5 stars. I rely on this App!
While the app itself is fine, the customer service is abhorrent. When trying to resolve a lockout issue (very difficult to recover access, btw) and indicating that I had messaged them twice already according to their instructions online, I actually got a response from them that read "Whatever. Please kindly note I am telling you no such emails came to us. Why, I do no not know -- Gmail is NOT known to lose emails this way, so any emails getting lost is extremely unlikely." This even after I forwarded the emails I sent to him...double down on calling me a liar. The company is not in the U.S., so be wary of keeping your data here. I grabbed another app, switched everything over, and changed my passwords on everything.
This upgrade has messed up my records in that when I touch one record information from another record appears. Not to mention that some of my records are missing. Why did you take away our ability to back up our records to Excel? This is extremely frustrating for me to lose my information. Please do something!!!
Can lose records. Now, after startup and working correctly for one record, can start showing the details for the wrong record (one other than the record I selected), and have to close app and restart to get it to work properly for a short while. Getting even more frustrating to use.
This app is still broken in the most recent update. It doesn't sync. It tells me I'm not subscribed, but I am. Then it force closes. Sometimes when I log in, it works. It screws up my productivity when it's buggy and doesn't work. Been going on for years.
previously installed pro on this ANDROID. upon auto renewel, this app thinks i have an IPHONE free account subscription is renewed. the app crashes or throws an upgrade screen, the app is not usable anymore. it did this last year. all my data is held hostage. may need to close account. this will happen again in 2020.
Held Hostage, I have had multiple times where even though I have a subscription for the pro cloud sync version I am unable to get to my passwords since their system invalidates my license. Previously it was irritating but at least support responded. Now it is just painful since I am now locked out and paying for the pro version to get nothing more than silence from their support. Wish I could give negative stars.
I've had this app for se eral year ND it works well for me. The reason I give it two stars is because. Customer service is non existent. It stinks to high heaven. They make. It difficult to contact them and even when you do They never answer. Looking for a replacement, app now.
I have used for years, but because of a lock out issue I am unable to login to Splashid. This is also a password I used for a long time. I agree with another reviewer: customer service is rude. I was told not to email so many times. However, the same responses I received from Splashid were useless and not at all helpful. I found a password app that is rated above 4.5 and has cloud. No longer using Splashid!
It's a good app with corresponding desktop app to sync and/or backup, but 20 bucks a year for the privilege? While it's worked well for me for several years now, surely there is a less expensive alternative.
Having been using SplashID from the inception of their product range, first on a Palm PDA and then on to different OS's like iOS, BlackBerry and finally on Android, I had to ditch this great app as the developers wanted to intrude my privacy on the phone. Yes, they want access to your contacts now. If you do not give that permission your are out irrespective of the fact that you have paid for the app. I wrote to Morgain Slain, the CEO, who was a very supportive person in the past but no response from him this time. That means they are not turning back. I do not want to grant them any permission other than for storage as from my point of view security is when you have a self contained app rather than poking around inside my phone. I requested a link for version 8.3.3. for me to downgrade but no response. If they could successfully run 8.3.3 on Android 10 without any issue I really do not see a technical reason for requiring them to access your contacts to run he application. Being a technical person myself I do not see the point.
I have been a user of splash for years. Purchased the lifetime. I am now most upset and will not use it anymore as it now requires access to my phone calls and contacts. There is no reason for that access for a password keeper. NOT HAPPY IN THE LEAST!!!
Can't believe I trusted my important passwords to the junk! Keeps crashing, sync isn't working properly, keeps overwriting new records with old ones. Custom icons don't work. Don't trust your passwords with this app.
absolute best password app I've ever used. I have deleted some of them because it did not meet my needs. However the cross over to the desktop laptop syncing with the phone it's perfect.
I renewed my subscription for the pro version 12.13.21. However the upgrade is not implemented. When I click to upgrade, it verified I paid to upgrade 12.13.21. I asked for help from Sash ID but have not received a response. I love this program and want to give it 5 stars but I need this problem resolved.
Back to working for me with my Pixel 4XL. Been using it for years with no problems until recently. Then sync broke. But after the update, it's working fine again.
Every year after my account is charged $21 the phone app and Desktop version are disabled. I always have to contact customer service to re-license the product. Please issue a full refund as I have not been able to use this service since 2-21-2020.
Twice in the last three months SplashID has locked me out of my passwords. I've paid for the service but when I log in and try to unmask a password I get a popup that demands that I subscribe to SplashID Pro for another $19.99. I've already subscribed to the pro version -- paid for it on 08/30/2018 13:19:12 MT. There is no rhyme nor reason why they've locked me out of the vault. Update - still happening, but they're helping me with a workaround.
