Splashtop Wired XDisplay Free

Free = not free. Even though link in play store says free, it turns out its a 10 minute trial. It doesn't tell you that until you only have one minute left. Maybe I could get past the trickery if I had the app running well and was already enjoying it but by the time I got the one minute warning I had just barely gotten it set up and running the way i wanted it. as such it was an extremely easy choice to pass on paying for this app. The trial is way too short, and just wasted 9 minutes.

I give it 1 star because it doesn't work consistently. So, it's frustrating. Currently, it shows on the tablet but it doesn't show up in Display settings on Windows 10. And setting the projection to Extend doesn't change anything. It simply duplicates what's on the laptop screen. It doesn't show up in Display settings (Windows 10). Sometimes, it shows black screen. I would have to restart the laptop and then plug the USB again. It has been frustrating. Fix it. Really, fix it.

THIS IS NOT A FREE APP!!! After a lot of troubles it works for 10 MIINUTES THEN YOU MUST PURCHASE IT. I downloaded this as it was free and didn't want to do a lot of work to make it work. My work computer doesn't allow me to download the PC drivers. I had to use a second PC to get the drivers. Then after ten minutes you are propositioned, this is a frustration purchase at best as optimization and overall usability had yet to be determined. ZERO STARS.

Very useful app, really enjoyed it, but it was un usable. I got only 30 fps which is low for me, because of that, my mouse and window movement was VERY stuttering. No ads, has a 10 minute limit (better than having ads because you can always disconnect and reconnect to overcome it). Overall I like the app, very useful for doing productivity related things (unless u don't mind the 10 min limit and mouse problems). You will need to install splashtop wired xdisplay agent on ur PC to make it work.

Amazing idea. I tried it out and it worked nicely (win 10 + android 8.1). But currently this solution only supports screen mirroring and not screen extension, so it is very little use for me (I need to write academic papers and I need a secondary display to refer to pdfs when writing) What a shame. I hope future updates will include this feature.

I have a one plus 7 pro. connected to laptop with usb A 3.1 port (I will try to use the usb C port to see if the drivers will use the display protocol). Very little, but noticable, latency of the display. Usable for my purposes. Device shows up as a secondary display in Windows setting, which is exactly what i was looking for in an app. I was able to edit in Adobe After Effects and use mercury transmit to display my edits live to my phone. 👍 Wishful Request: - Allow HDR Display option!

Free version lasts 10 min, needless to say after using multiple computers and android devices this still seems to be laggy. While sometimes this isnt a issue it makes small things like browsing the internet uneccessarily difficult. if i could see the mouse more clearly it would get a much much better rating

Started out perfect, then after a week the tablet would connect then immediately disconnect. I uninstalled/reinstalled everything (programs, gfx drivers, apps) and it worked again! For 1 week, then the same issues again. I would love to give it a 5 star, but now its useless. I will change my rating if these issues get fixed.

Installed on my mac and multiple android phones. Did not work on any of them. One of them resulted in a black screen. The other did nothing after connect. This app is not ready. I would have been glad to purchase the app if the demo worked.

Great app. Was bored when i found it but it does work great. It's also very easy to use, as you only need to download the app and plug the phone to a PC. The only problem is that the phone screen gets a little laggy but if needed it will do just the job.

I tried the app with windows 10 and Kindle Fire 10 HD and until now (1 week into it) works perfectly. Of all the apps I tried, this is closer to zero lag. After trying the free version I purchased it. Noticed no issue whatsoever. Highly satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it.

not free and the pay version is a subscription fee - not one time payment. The App should at least indiciate that the pay version is a subscription. they just misled buyer into thinking it's a one-time payment which is why they implement the 2 hours use policy to aviod any refund being issue. already contact my bank to have the $6.99 being block and place a claim on it because it's misleading

Dunno why other people are having so many issues with this software, as it has worked flawlessly for me. Apart from some very minor latency (which is to be expected), the resolution, color depth and framerate are all very good, and it has not caused me any issues like other people have reported. The only thing is that it uses approx 20% of my i7 processor, although that's a cost I'm happy to pay for high speed display extension to a tablet (with touch capabilities). Might've been good once but turned commercial and hopeless. WAY laggier than the excellent and free SpaceDesk despite being wired (SpaceDesk is faster on a 5Ghz WiFi connection than Splashtop is on USB C 3.1 over fastest available thunderbolt 3 cable!). Annoying log-in screens on website and overpriced on-selling of remote solutions. Ignore online review recommendations, they're talking about the pre-sellout version.

I am an Android developer and have all drivers installed and setup correctly. Still no chance to get it run (doesn't find my Samsung S20). Years ago I used this app to connect to my Xiaomi. Worked, but my PC constantly had a CPU load of 20% just for this.

Will only mirror display due to an Intel Graphics driver update. Reading the FQA on Splashtop's website states that a fix is coming, this was in 2018, nothing has been posted snice. I have updated every possible driver related to this app and it still will only mirror. Support is heavily lacking, and website navigation is abysmal at best. Do yourself a favor and pass on this app.

So it works Great, it is very simple to install, it's free. That alone is 5 star. The only flaw is that after 10 minutes of using the app closes itself, because it's... well a free trial. So you can either buy the app and use it to your heart's content or live with it closing itself every 10 minutes. That's why i take away one star, but i understand everyone needs to make money to upgrade and update the app. I think it's too expensive so it's 5 star performance, but 4 stars overall.

Works amazing love it so much only problem I got is the 10 minute timer for usage im using my old 10 in tablet as a drawing pad instead of paying 300 bucks for a professional pad. And 7 bucks is still better than 30 dollar pads without the screen. Wish it was a little longer than 10 minutes before I have to restart the app but hey just my opinion if I were to fix it if make it 30 minutes with a warning at 5 minutes left and 1 minute but it's still a good app no doubt

I couldn't get my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6", Android 4.4.4) to work as an extended display without running the app in compatibility mode... and the performance was so bad it was unusable. It worked marvelously as a mirror, though.

Never connected. Downloaded it on the PC side and it never launched. I'm running Win 10 and Android 5+. On the Samsung Tablet it kept saying go to usb debugging and wouldn't go any further. Luckily I didn't pay the 6 dollars for the full version.

It was okay, I got to use it for 10 minutes before hitting a paywall. The Developer basically helped me by showing me there's better apps by other developers helping the community, not just reaching into pockets right away. Thanks for kicking me out after 10 minutes, I found a better competitor.

Setting up the app was frustrating. First asked for dev options to be enabled (they was) but still showed that pop up until I wiped app cache. Getting ACTUAL link to download display agent for pc was tricky. Multiple times I was sent to download other programs that I didn't needed (plus had to make account). Once I set up everything I couldn't set proper resolution for my phone (3840*1644) best they offered was something like 2000*1000

Works very well. I just recommend using this app in a computer and tablet with USB 3.0 or at least USB 2.0 for fast connection, so that you don't have any lagging or delay as you move the mouse.

This app is a great way to use a tablet as an external display. If it supported pressure sensitivity for my galaxy note, I'd buy the paid version at quadruple the price or more. As it is, it's a fun novelty I don't need.

The app works as expected. No latency for input but some detected for windows mirroring back to the tablet. I have a s-pen digitizer and it's hover function isn't detected when using the app. Hope it can be fixed
