I tried several expense splitting apps before settling on this one. It has a simple, attractive, and user-friendly interface, and has all of the features I was looking for ahead of my roadtrip. I tried a few other apps but they were clunky, missing a feature I wanted, or downright crashed when I tried using them. Splid has been great to use so far!
I am very picky when choosing the right apps for my daily use and this is the best app for split expense. Very simple, straightforward, and clear. My only suggestion is to have the date shown for each expense. Alternatively, expenses can be grouped by date to make them easier to identify. Please consider adding if possible. I am sharing flat and I've been using this daily. Thank you!
This is THE BILL SPLITTING APP you've been looking for. It does what it's build to do. No prompts for inviting friends, no silly permissions, no ads, no pop-ups. One of the most satisfying apps I've ever used, I'm not even kidding. It's way better than Splitwise. WAY WAY BETTER. It works like clockwork while splitting your bills and even gives the option to share the charts via Excel or PDF.
Amazing app. I love that we don't have to sign up, not everyone in our group is smartphone-savvy (hello, grandparents). Easy to use, clean and minimalist interface, great features. The only change I would make is to have the "purchased on" date automatically visible, without having to press "more" each time, but it's very close to perfect. It would also be nice to have a option to change the color scheme, but this doesn't take anything away from the functionality of the app.
An efficient way to split bills for a trip. Allows multiple people to pay a single item, on behalf of multiple people, while not necessarily making it an even split (you can put % or actual amounts ). I appreciate the lack of ads. Everyone with the code of the group can write expenses in the app and everyone is then notified. Then it's also easy to square up as the app even suggests who should pay how much to whom.
Does one job and does it well. Clear and simple to use. No adds as far as I've seen, and I would gladly pay some modest amount for the app. I love it. Only suggestion for the developer (and it's a nitpick): add option to enter amounts without having to type the decimal point, like in many other financial apps. For instance, type just 1234 to enter 12.34.
I really like this App! It's simple and straight forward, but there IS a little "learning curve". To me - when your listing an Expense - "By" would be the person who "caused" the Expense (the person who OWES it). But in order for the Split to work, you have to list the Person to whom the Payback is OWED TO in the "By" line and the person responsible for paying it back in the "For" Section. To me, that is backwards. But once I learned it, I love the App!
best app for split bills. i have used loads but this lets you split bills to the exact amount each person spent and over the course of many many payments. means you just settle up at the end of a holiday. if someone arrives late/leaves early/ doesnt take part in a bill you can easily omit them from that payment. it does everything you could want from such an app and more.
I use this with my four roommates and I've used it to split expenses with travel buddies too. It works great, especially how it simplifies the payments so everyone only has to pay once to settle everything. The only thing I would change is add a notes section to the transactions and allow for users to search for specific past transactions. Ex. search for all past cleaning supply purchases. Great app;, worth getting.
Phenomenal app - BUT... This app is very nearly perfect for my needs. However, it would be great to have the ability to clean up and organize old expenses without deleting them. Maybe by categorizing expenses by a time period like 1 month, 3 months, 6 months. Etc. Thank you, Dev team! It's well worth supporting the developers by donating or purchasing the Pro version.
Minimal and clean interface. Nice to have the multiple currencies feature but it is unclear how and when the conversion is made in the background (which rate, what time, and what happens to the foreign currency expenses added for a past date?). App is in need of a major update. It has not been updated in almost 2 years.
Before this, I have been using a similar app but quite complicated to use it. But this app make everything so easy! I can update expenses online or offline. I also can easily edit or delete any of the detail. I can even add picture as the cover of our group expenses! And not forget the summary of the group expenses, it was simple & brilliant.
Very useful app for a shared house or a trip with friends. It is difficult to remove someone from a group because you must remove them from all previous expenses, which adjusts the other expenses to be higher for everyone else. Other than that, does the job fine for groceries and so on, and at zero cost.
Awesome! Simple and intuitive, it lets you combine both mutual and individual expenses in one list. You can have the list of expenses shared and updated with other participants, provided that they too installed the app. If not, you can send them the PDF document of the settled bill. Pretty neat, right?
Everyone is right, math is inaccurate. I use Receipt Ninja but was looking for a more elegant way for everyone to see expenses and who owes what. I compared the two. The total spent is correct on both; what individuals paid is not. I spent $193.87 but this app says I spent $107.07. My total reimbursement is less than should be and higher than should be for others. We had very uneven splitting based on number in each family & participant. I'm sure that had something to do with it. Uninstalling.
Awesome app! Exactly what I need! I have used Splitwise for a while and find that it's very troublesome to invite everyone every time, considering I love hanging out with new people. This app offers the perfect solution. You can still share the expense record by simply sending the code to you friends if necessary. No invitation needed! Highly recommend it!
Awsome !!!! This is an excellent app which can be used for expense management while spent by multiple people in a trip. It clearly splits the expense and provides the summary in very details. The best part is we can refer the expense details at any point of time even for the previous trips. The ap also summarise the settlement as well.
Great app, extremely easy to use, no time wasted to learn, the app has all the features that a split app should have. By far the best split app I've ever tried. It is even possible to share in real time with one or more people in a embarrassingly easy way. Only one thing is missing: the donate button!
Awesome app. After trying serval app, I settled for this one, because of the usability and feature set. I use the app now since 2 years for every trip I do with friends. Even I think this app is awesome, I have two feature requests for the developers. First, I would like to enter negative payments or refunds. Second, and more important a group payment notification would be nice to remind group members to settle.
The best app ever. Please ask for more money. I bought the premium just to support the developer. This saves you so much stress with traveling with a group. My only wish would be to go through with privacy and ditch Google Analytics from the app. It's one of the best things that friends do not need accounts to join unlike Splitwise and other data-grabbing apps.
This app is probably one of the most useful apps that I have. I even use it for shared bills between my partner and I. Having the ability to create a spreadsheet is fantastic, along with the anount of detail you can get into regarding expenses. Dropping to 4 stars because I realized having admin privileges would also be more useful, so that other people can't edit certain parts of a group.
A simple bill slitting app that does only what it needs to. A friendly UI that makes it easy to split bills. I really like that you can export there date in a PDF, as to share it with people that don't use the app. The only reason i didn't give it 5 starts is because it has one small but annoying thing when you try to divide unequal amounts. But nothing that concerning. I highly recommend it!
