This app is a great tool to help keep are home balanced with your partner or roommates. Simple to use, you add the expense choose the allocation and 'acasa' takes care of the rest. Let me add that support team is great and available to assist! Thank acasa !! You saved me time and some uncomfortable discussions !
Was great when it was working but as soon as things start changing it's a pain. Unable to add renewed TV licence, can't add this year's water bills. Worst was that we were paying them for octopus energy for 8 months only to find out the transfer from old supplier never went through. Now got a huge energy bill to settle. Refunds coming through but having to chase housemates that have moved out for the money they've been refunded so I can settle bill. Probably not worth the hassle to be honest
Good idea and we use it all the time as useful, BUT very annoying that it doesn't automatically generate how much the other person owes if you enter the total amount spent and your share. You have to calculate and input yourself what each person owes and can take ages because it makes errors typing the numbers in sometimes. If you fixed this it would make the app much better. Also would be good if you can see an overview of how much each person spent in a week / month year, for budgeting thanks
Awful from start to finish. Customer service team aren't experienced enough, and I'm not sure if they've been given enough training. We were charged for energy but octopus didn't even know we were with them, & acasa tried to charge us again after we cancelled this service. Misleading messages on app, long times to get back to you over chat, their tone of voice & emoji use is inappropriate for anyone over the age of about 20. Managers are great, but I would not recommend this service to anyone.
Decent app. Almost beats totalling the items in excel. I wish this app were a little more robust with a total amount spent option in different categories. It would be nice to have an interactive totaling option based on week, month, house, personal, and type of costs, etc.
The app looks good and sleek, however be careful about trying to arrange bills/utilities through them. Customer support has been lacking and we have been left almost a month without any WiFi or communication about when it would arrive. Text chat is unresponsive and phone is rarely answered.
Awful service. I set up payment, they took the payment then stated they couldnt set up TV licence and water payment due to focusing on developing other services. Tried contacting them for a refund with so reply then they continue to try and take further payment. Its a modern day con! Will never use this service again and highly recommend others avoid.
Was a great company to use to split bills however since moving out we have been due several refunds which over a month later, we have still not received. Every time I have asked they said they are busy. Now they have changed the app around so you can't really message anyone for support. Extremely disorganised after moving out.
do not recommend, they have failed to bill us correctly and have taken out money for a bill twice for a few months. They have also told us that they cannot refund us though it is the apps fault. So yeah unless youre willing to get mugged off don't choose this provider. Go for houses with bills included or do it manually not via this horrid app.
AVOID! Absolutely not worth the hassle, most of the transactions block our cards, meaning one person ends up paying more than the others to make up for this. Also my tenancy for the house we used acasa for ended almost a year ago, yet we are still receiving substantial bills now. As well as being owed a £60 refund (each, and theres 9 people), and consistently being ignored for months on end when requesting this, despite being informed that the refund would be processed in 7 days, 7 months ago.
5 Stars! Nick told me about it when we shared a house with them in Whitechapel. I don't use it for house shairing as I share with my wife and she wouldn't appreciate that. I do however use it whenever we go on trips with people. It's great for sharing gass and accommodation fees etc. Maybe that's another angle you could use to market it outside of the expensive cities. Most people don't do house shairs outside of those major cities so abother approach may come in handy? Just and idea.
Amazing app really helps you split your bills with friends enjoying it!
Basically, they set up direct debts then draw the money from the tenants accounts, which works well. However, they have extremely poor after service. No follow up on promises made, and 6 weeks after providing final metre readings, I still don't know if I overpaid the utility suppliers (even though I've asked them repeatedly). Turns out everyone in my house was owed £27.60 ‐ NONE OF US WERE TOLD. They'll take your money, but won't return what's owed without a fight. My advice try another company.
Stopped using acasa a year ago due to it being poorly run and structured. Prices never added up. One year later and were still being charged bills for a house none of us live in anymore. Have had nothing but hell with this app that I don't even use for last 3 years.
When it works it's great, but when problems occur it can take a while for them to be fixed. Customer service is great after a long wait for a reply. I would say 90% of my time I had no issues and the ui needs some work
At first this seems like a great option, especially when sharing bills with other people. However, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The messaging service aims to reply within two hours. I have rarely experienced this. We have had issues when we moved house with the correct utility suppliers being changed to, including threats of legal action while paying acasa for utilities . Our internet gets cut off about once a month due to an ongoing dispute between acasa and the company.
Thank you to Ollie from Goodlord for all your advice and support even in the current situation we are in. For all the links and advice, Thank you for making it easier for us.
Stop asking for "display over other apps" permission. No, you don't need it, and the app is working fine without it.
This is a brilliant app. It takes all the pain out of working out who owes what to whom. Full marks for ease of use. And no adverts!
Made splitting costs on a group trip super easy !!! Love this app ! Highly recommend it !
The app is great. Very easy and useful. Love the simplistic design :)
best app for splitting expenses with flatmates. super easy to use and nice ui
A really fantastic app that I wish I existed 20 years ago. I have been using it now for approximately 5 years and it never fails. It makes life so much easier between housemates and now even me and my partner use it also. I recently had an issue with it, which was of our own creation. When I mailed the ACASA customer service team they replied immediately and solved the issue without fuss. I can't recommend this app enough. I
