This app is way better than it has any right to be. Most companies would push out a crappy app just to say they have one. This app has everything I need to check in to the gym, search, signup for, and cancel classes, does all these things without issue, without being slow, and with an interface that is easy to use. It does not try to be more than it is which would only bog down the app with things not everyone would use that are not related to the SportsClubs core business, another issue with apps from many other places. The check in goal feature is the one thing that I think is superfluous to the app, but as it is a small basic feature it does not detract from the rest of the app.

This app is not user friendly. When trying to search for classes it defaults to the "preferred club" settings when I have a corporate passport membership which allows me to go to any non elite location. It does not allow me to search for any other location. Additionally, it really should allow you to search for classes offline there is no reason it needs to connect to the server to search, class schedules don't change on a real time basis.

I am seeing nothing but terrible reviews so I thought that I would add my experience because it has been relatively uneventful. I use a Pixel XL on the latest Android OS and security patch as of Oct. 18th. I have no issues using the app to check in, monitor my check-ins/workouts, or look up classes even though I prefer to work out on my own. So, in my experience, the app does everything that I need it to do without any hiccups. I am getting a smartwatch today and have been told that the app might be able to store my barcode, for checking in, on the watch itself (so that I can leave my phone at home) which would be gravy, but I already know other workarounds for that.

Freezes up, needs multiple restarts. Every time I open this app it either freezes my entire phone or takes a super super long time to open up. This makes the checking in process to the gym very frustrating. When it finally works it's relatively easy to book classes, wish they'd stop showing you classes that already passed though.

App won't open since January 2022. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also restarted my phone. I have to have the guy/girl at the desk look my account up manually to access my local gym. So pissed

The app is very buggy on Android (Pixel 2). Sometimes it updates my calendar, but then later it disappears for no apparent reason. Today I tried to book a class and it says "Authentication Failed", with no way to book. It does not allow for multiple clubs and always defaults to your "preferred club" (wherever you initially signed up). I never had any of these issues on iPhone. Please address all of these app issues on Android.

When first logging in, it shows a survey that I have to complete to use the app. When I click submit, it says "Looks like our servers are out for a protein shake". I've tried this multiple times over the past 2 days, logging in and out and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and nothing has worked.

Garbage. When it worked it crashed almost 50% of the time. For the last 6 months I can't even log on.... It just says the system is "out for a protein shake". The manager of my gym tried everything but it will not work. I have to log in each time through the web, which is lame.

I just wish this app had a section on good exercises to do on different machines in the gym. Like leg day Monday, use _____. This would be a huge benefit for those who aren't professional gym goers, those who aren't taking classes, and those who train themselves. Also, this app doesn't track regular clock ins (not taking a class, or going to exercise), or at least for me it doesn't work.

The security on this app is terrible. You reset your password and it sends it back in plain text over email. Email is unencrypted. This also probably means they are storing user passwords as plain text which is a huge security flaw.

This app offers me no benefits whatever. I thought I found one last week when I discovered the app keeps a log of all my check-ins. The check-in log would infinitely more useful if it also tracked when I checked out.

your servers are constantly out for a protein shake. It's really a complete inconvenience that your servers are down 24/7. I constantly have to give my name to be manually entered into the system every time I give to the gym. This app hasn't opened up for me once since my membership with Lucille Robert's. Total let down.

I joined NYSC in 2018. After 3 weeks I had to cancel. Upon joining, I was told the cancellion fee was $10. When I went to closeout the membership I was told I had to pay $105. These people are con-artists. NYSC sucks!!!

I expressed a serious concern involving my membership & money given to BSC, & seeing as how that respect of seriousness has not been reciprocated I cannot continue giving my money to what I would deem as poor customer service. I would like to cancel my membership at this time. Whatever policy and procedure in place that I must follow then I'm game. Whenever I stated how concerned I was with my card being charged several days past the 1st of the month I was met with "well, that's not what we see." & why would you see it. Its my bank account, You won't see it...which translates to me that there are no ownership, nor will there ever be, of ones mistakes. I asked why I wasn't seeing it on the first I never got a valid answer. I asked on Wednesday night why I was charged a late fee & there was no proof of why, just an offer for essentially "store credit". Why not refund me when I did nothing wrong? There shouldn't be a waive because I shouldn't have been charged without warning or concern. There is nothing wrong with my card because if there was you wouldn't be able to take ANY money from me so I shouldn't need to update my payment information? The other issue is facilities. I have gone into spaces where several of the machines were not active for weeks at a time. Or, about a month ago, when I walked into one of your locations there was a whole room where the lights didn't work. When It was brought up to the front desk there wasn't even an acknowledgement of the issue. I'm 100% sure its not safe to allow people to use machinery without safely assuring they can do so - this includes having properly illuminated rooms. I posted the video on Twitter & got no response for over 2 weeks. We can even come back to this current issue where I not only called & was given the run-around, I had written an email before that to the general customer care contact info that's provided, & I STILL haven't gotten a response to it. I had to call a location, be told its the wrong one (which your customers are under the impression that you're all the same organization) & I'm still only getting a response for half of my story being told to you. People spend way more money on their membership to BSC than me, but aren't getting what they pay for. That's piss poor care for people on every level.
