This powerful app includes all the features of Sporty's traditional E6B, including 23 aviation functions, 18 conversions and complete timer features.
The app's user-friendly design makes calculations fast and easy. Each function can be selected from a plain English list, and the app prompts the user for information as it goes. Plus, entries are saved from previous calculations, so there's no need to re-enter data. Calculating weight and balance is especially easy, with a dedicated page for adding new passengers, fuel or baggage.
Sporty's E6B app makes quick work of navigational, weight and balance, or fuel problems, and is a favorite of student pilots. But it also includes a number of features that are useful for experienced pilots, like Top of Descent, Specific Range and Planned Mach #.
The timer can be set to count up or count down, so it is perfect for timing approaches, holds or switching fuel tanks. There is also a clock function that shows Home, Local and Zulu time.

Still limited utility. App does not offer fuel calculations in kilograms. This recommendation was sugggested several years ago and sadly, not acted on.
For some problems, you have to "back in" to get the answer. Example "find indicated air speed - Preasure altitude 8000', temperature -10°C, true airspeed 152kts. Using the "True Airspeed" function, you have to trial-and-error the "Indicated" airspeed until the "True" airspeed is what you need. You can get there, but kind of kludgy. This is from FAA question 3550-1, so maybe a little contrived, but could be a real life problem. Was easily solved with a mechanical E6B.
Not very capable. Not user friendly.
I was forced to buy this again on iOS after buying it on Android just a few days prior. Greedy company. And some of the calculations are flat out incorrect.
Only a fraction of the features of the iOS version. Way overpriced for what it offers...
Purchased at Sporty's Pilot Shop. Performs as advertised. Whether a fledgling student pilot, or seasoned ATP rated pilot, you'll enjoy its "user friendly" design features, will definetly make you a safer pilot.
Couldn't figure out how to use it so uninstalled it.

The iPad version seems to contain all weather functions and weight functions, this one does not unfortunatly. Misleading
Pretty good, but the calculation for Required Calibrated Airspeed is off to the high side. Same calculation on an actual Sporty'S E6B was 6 kts lower, and the correct answer.
Although I agree with some of the other critical comments here, I gave this 5 stars because it is so much better than any of the (sometimes higher rated) alternatives in the play store.
Why does my actual TAS compute lower than my planned TAS for the exact same input numbers?

It has placed itself on my Sd card . It is nowhere to be seen on Sd , when I press the remove to device my device restarts and the app remains on Sd . I cannot control the app. It has control instead.
Was hoping weight and balance would let me see the CG envelope.
It says it has weight and balance, but it is nowhere to be found.
It's a pain to use. I wish it was an exact replica (or a lot closer) to the actual Sporty's E6B.

Installed this app on my phone (sony xperia tl running android 4.1.2) and it worked great. Installed it my tablet (asus tf700 running android 4.2.1), which is the device I will be using in the aircraft, and the entire timer functionality is missing. Since that was the deciding factor in selecting this over other apps, I am pretty disappointed. Going back to Sporty's to get a refund or see if the have an update. Stay tuned for what happens before you buy this app for your tablets or make sure you test it out quick before the refund button disappears. Update: here's the bug, on the tablet, when you view the app in landscape mode, the timer automatically appears in the lower left corner, but when the tablet is turned portrait, the timer disappears. Since there is no menu item to select the timer, it is not usable in the aircraft. Since ALL the lap-desks, mounts and aviation apps are designed be used in portrait mode, this app is missing the mark pretty bad if it is intended be used in the aircraft.
Wow with being a crew chief in a uh 60 helicopter I don't always have the time to flip between functions in sportys e6b I would like to see the timer in the endurance function to facilitate faster progress speed is what I need. This program rocks thank you dearly
Not bad but not worth the $10. I would like to see an option for saving data on the aeroplane I'm flying.
Very good value for the money!!! Only issue with it, is that the back button does not take you back in the app, but straight to desktop.
Sporty's did a great job on this app. Saddly, can't use it on the knowledge test.
I love this app! I do recommend adding a favorites list for our most used functions and conversions.

Great tool love the look on my tablet
Doesn't work. Wasted $10 for it to say need to download another program. Downloaded. And doesn't connect. Waste of $.
