Makes me enter my phone number submit a 6 digit code they text to me and changes extra for the convenience fee. Not convenient at all it is a wast of time and money. Its a shame all it needs to do is remember where I park and my plate number and let me select the length of time. It should work in to clicks and be done. The kiosk is more convenient and faster.
Horrible parking system at Michigan State and even more horrible app. Sometimes I just want to run into a building for 10-20 minutes but the app only allows for a minimum of 1 hr. and The kiosk wants a minimum of 1 dollar. App is not user friendly and it doesnt look like they are doing anything to fix it. If I could give it negative stars, I would.
I don't really get the point of this app. It was helpful when MSU allowed users to pay for metered spots with, but they prohibited that late last fall. Because this app is so user-unfriendly, it makes more sense to just to walk to a pay-by-plate kiosk than bother with Spot On. The level of security is bizarre for a parking app--I have to verify my phone number whenever I log in, enter a separate PIN and then input all of my credit card information, because Spot On never retains it.
I'd give it a zero if I could. Untrustworthy & unreliable.I used the app coz i was in a rush and the app won't accept either of my credit card. I kept trying over and over while my students were taking their finals. Finally it seemed to work and extended my time..total dollar amounts was less than 10$.my bank statememt showed a total of 20$ when parking for the whole day in Lot 79 costs 16$. I never approved of a 20$ charge so I am disputingthe transcation. Don't use this app
This app is frusterating because they only let you pay for parking if you bought the $40 wallet no matter how long you need to stay. They don't let you use your actual card and MSU Parking is a scam.
This app is the most shameless money grab. If you need to extend your stay, fees! Leave your spot early? No refund! Purposefully not user friendly.
This app basically doesn't work. It will not let me extend a session, and it takes me several attempts to start a session
Super convenient. Would be 5 star if the lot was available in the app before the lots metered start time
everytime i open the app it makes me verify my phone number, and thats very annoying
Very impercise purchase power of time blocks can lead to frivolous tickets and wasted dollars
Doesn't always find lots, minimum parking time is 1 hour
Crashes on startup
Terrible app that always force quits
This app basically doesn't work.
Expensive as fuc, honestly probably just MSU in general but this app is also dogshit so
Trash Crashes half the time yet they still give students tickets, when we already get put in debt to go here to study. It's immoral.
It crashes almost all the time , if you happen to get disconnected (switching from wifi to carrier or vise versa), you have to Uninstall the app and install it again or the message "spot on has stopped" will appear everytime you open the app.
I can't even open the app because it isn't responding.... I wanted to rely on this for my parking because I was going to be late for class if I stayed and used my card. Hope I don't get a ticket after the coins I threw in expire....
Have downloaded, uninstalled, and redownloaded 6 times over the past 3 months. After opening the app, all that shows is a blank backlit black screen. Great idea but terrible execution.
The app will not work on my phone. It says it is not responding.
It crashed upon launch every time
Won't ever open. Phone says it is "not responding."
It stopped working please fix it!!!!!!
The app doesn't even open on a Galaxy S6 with Android 7.0. Just get SpotOn not responding....wait or close.
This makes you pay more for using the app instead of the kiosks at the lots. Plus it crashes all the time and I have to uninstall and reinstall it to use it.
But every time i go to open it it crashes. Ive gotten parking tickets bc of this. Not reliable, just pay at the ramp.
Does the same thing as the payment machines except now you pay more!
Works fine, but the fee is unreasonable
It's alright, I wish we could pay in 15 minutes increment rather than half hour. And that 30 cent fee per transaction is egregiously high.
