It's very bad not trusted they stole 565€ I booked a room and after a day I ask to cancel they told me I should cancel befor 30 or 60 days????? How it possible????
Really disappointed with cancelation policy. I cancelled almost a month before moving in, but they didn't refunde me anything cause i cancelled just 3 days late. I asked the support cause it was just 3 days and i was in a really difficult situation with money and explained them but they were just sending autoreplies. I understand that you have strict cancellation policy but it would be nice if Spotahome understood some humanity.
It doesn't quite deserve 1 star as well, most flawed system ever, don't book places from these guys (especially international people or students). They say that homes are verified, but most of the houses even though they look good, are temporarily repaired and maintained, so once you move in, you are going to realise almost everything has some or the other issue. Also the worst part is you can't review houses or rate the house and landlord, so when you move in, you are completely oblivious.
This App is hard to use. The usability is poor. The map take half of the screen... I can only see very few items each time in the listview. This is painful. When I received alerts and I opened the app. It did not navigate me to the information. It showed white screen instead
Nice app except that most places are only available 1, 2 or some even 3 years in advance :/ seriously does anyone even plan that far ahead? I dont see the point if I'm looking for a place now, it shows me places available so far in the future. Doesn't make sense.
I like the service. Very smart move to create this. However, the app has some issues. The alerts don't stick with many types of property (entire apartments, studios etc). They don't open when you click on them, which makes them pointless. And you could also add all filters so we see what we are really looking for. Thanks!
Unfortunately it's not possible to give this app less than one star. Without doubt it's one of the worst apps I have ever downloaded. It might have been designed twenty years ago. Difficult to navigate, poorly functioning, it is, in effect, absolutely useless.
App works really bad. Hard to navigate, functions poorly and they included options that will go far over your price indication because they let renter put period prices as well. It will come up in your search like a good price and then its always hunderds euros more. Leave those propertys to AirBnB, Spotahome. 2 years ago this company was really nice, now its turning into a scam. I would recommand Badi instead!!!
My personal opinion is that this app is more landlord orientated than the Tennants themself. Is very friendly and easy for use but cannot find anything there at all. 90% of the flats are already booked, not for months but for years ahead. So not so quite helpful. Need to grow more and add more properties.
Unreliable. total scam. stay away. Host ignored our calls, texts, and messages the night of check in. Spotahome customer service was not helpful and wouldn't respond. we resorted to staying in a hotel for a few nights until we could book an AirBnB. Don't recommend this at all. Stay away. now to figure out how to get a refund - might have to do a charge back.
This is the most sad, laggy, room search experience, simply impossible to use! This gets even more nightmareish when you need to look for lots of pictures and listings. The website has more filters than the app...it's like the company doesn't want people using their app...I mean, why even bother then?
Bug fixing desperately needed. Nothing works from the starting of the app. Spotahome had really nice service before last modification of the app. Need to improve the performance very fast and I believe spotahome will do it asap.
Do not use this app. 1 They claim they check the flat but it is extremely outdated. The flat was very dirty and did not look like in the pictures anymore. 2 They should be a mediator between you and the landlord but this is not the case. They never gave the deposit back. The landlord changed numbers and did not reply to my email and, when I sent an email to Spotahome, they were in favor of the landlord. At the end, there is no difference from using an app like idealista.
We have tried Spot-a-home for a few months and we were really frustrated by the arrangements Spot-a-home has with landlords and the dates for booking being 100% incorrect in our experience. The concept is great! The customer service behind the ap is excellent! but the execution from ap to rental is really very poor - Perhaps the Madrid rental market is not the best place for the application?? Anyway - We ended up using Airbnb and which was delivered a saving of €2000—3000...
Just few months ago, Paris was listed in the app, but I don't see it anymore while trying to select the city and look for my next apartment. Is it only my app which has some technical glitch, or is it normally the case? If yes, why has Paris been removed? Such an important city, and it's no more on your app.
Very hard to use this app, you push on Filters but there is no reaction. It is hard yo zoom the map, it doesn't expand to the whole screen. Very laggy and slow.
Not user-friendly at all. Really frustrating and slow. Didn't find any options to remove the map and to zoom on it doesn't work most of the time.
I wanted to list a property but I couldn't because when it ask me to insert the address google places pops out but it doesent work. I cannot go further because i can't insert a valid address. Are you sure your google api key is still valid and that you updated it before the summer? They changed their policies.
The room list occupies only a third of the screen, the rest is the map and cannot be collapsed. Terrible ux, navigation is better in the browser (even on mobile).
The App is good but they are a SCAM. During the booking the app says you will get your deposit back when you leave the apartment but in fact when you reach apartment you have to sign a contract saying you will get back the deposit after 60 days. But after 60 days they forget about your deposit and don't help the tenant get back the deposit. This is a scam. DONT USE THIS APP
Spotahome is not a direct booking app or website. They are just like an agent. They have tie up with several landlords and they will act like a middleman. We'll be asked to pay the rent+ Spotahome fee to Spotahome and the Spotahome will transfer this to the landlord. I had a very bad experience with them as the landlord offered a totally different apartment to me than the one which was shown on the website. I lost my one month rent, Spotahome didn't gave any refund.
Slow app and an unnecessary map takes up half the screen making it extremely hard to view properties as you can only see half of one at a time on the screen
It was really easy to find a house thanks to Spotahome. Agents where really helpful and the whole process super smooth. And no need to visit the house, everything done online.
The app is telling me to update. When I click on update, it takes me to app store and asks me to open the app. When I do, I end up back at the update needed screen. Can't do anything!
Really enjoyable experience browsing through the properties. The videos really help get a clear view of how the apartments are like :)

I dont like how you just have to straight up book it like it's a hotel no options for more information or viewing. I try message to find more information about the rooms and roommates not blindingly renting a room and they just tell you to book it
Incredibly frustrating process trying to contact anyone. I tried to cancel before 60 days but by the time anyone got back to me it was less and now not being offered a full refund.
