The spotify mobile app with a Bluetooth speaker is cool. But this app with it's Arch Linux compliment allows streaming all over my house to my big equipment. The interface is well designed. And the Android widget works flawlessly for quick volume control or skipping songs. Overall just great work.

I hate having to install things on Spotify but I love the Spotify connect function which I couldn't use on my Ubuntu laptop. This solved the problem in 2 minutes. Excellent. So far no bugs
Its almost the best remote control. If only it had better playlist playback. But no complaints at all for the huge contribution...
I just built a brand new HTPC (linux, everything is linux in my house) and had hoped to make use of the Spotify Connect feature but quickly learned it's not yet implemented in the Linux client. This solves that problem! The dameon installs easily, adds itself to startup, and just plain works. I've only had a few hours using the Android controller but so far so good. I used to be SQA so I notice issues with a quickness and thus far I am happy. I'm sure I'll find some usability gripes soon enough, but that goes for any software ;)

I just replaced my windows media player with Ubuntu Linux. Spot Commander works flawlessly! Love the way it completely integrates with the app.
I rebuilt an old netbook I had to play spotify. This makes the remote control, like I use on my android to windows and Mac setup, work in Ubuntu. Saves my phone battery and I can stash the mini anywhere!

This is a great app. The 5 stars goes for the server side as well. As much quality as you'd expect from the official spotify, which does not exist for linux.

I really like this app :D Very easy to get it working and to use. Feels a little sluggish at times but apart from that perfect!
Worked off the shelf with Ubuntu 14.04 without any problems or configuration.
However integration can be done by better way
Now I have my own cheap Sonos.
