Downloading SpotHero has been a life saver! My university's parking is expensive ($5/hr!) so being able to find cheaper garages nearby has been great. I have found the customer service line to be slow. Twice I've called with a concern and it was a long wait. After a while, either myself or the garage workers figured the problem out so no big deal but it makes me worried what if I really need them in the future and they don't answer.
Booked a spot close to our destination knowing it was going to be raining. Arrived to find a car parked in our spot. Drove to the nearest parking garage (cash only) and spent $14. SpotHero refunded our reservation but refused to do anything about the inconvenience and extra cash we had to spend. The garage is visible on the map with clear rates listed. We reserve spots for the guarantee, so it kind of defeats the purpose if we lose that and extra cash. Look elsewhere.
Just used this app for 4 days in Boston during graduation weekend. I'm not a techy or app kind of person, but this app is incredible. Saved us a lot of time and money. Stress free parking in a city with few public parking opportunities. Or at least few cheap ones.
Funny, I wrote a review and now I can't find it....it was a 1 star in case you a wondering, so let me try this again. This app works but then it doesn't. There is a bug that spothero knows about but still isn't fixed. My app is up to date and my phone is running off the 5G speeds. I also signed out and back in to see if maybe that would work. Still same error message. My question is What about the monthly parking that takes the QR code to read. How does that work now?
UPDATE: 4 days later, three emails, zero response. Have reported the app to the Google Play Store and requested a charge back from my bank. Terrible app, terrible service. Do not use. Got charged twice for the same booking - the garage wouldn't let me out without a credit card even though I scanned the app and was within my time. I've emailed twice now and no one has responded. This "service" is a ripoff and took my money for nothing.
Very useful in NYC. Usually about the same price as the garage charges but without the stress of worrying about where a lot is. Customer service is good. They've gotten a bit slower to respond but always do right by me if I need a refund or credit.
Won't allow vehicle inormation changes. Had one vehicle listed that broke down. Went to switch vehicle information to update my parking spot and the app gives an error code every time. Not useful especially with the threat of being towed because my information doesn't match my license plate.
Zero for two. I have used the app twice to set up parking and both times arrived and no parking was available. The first time I was never refunded my money and I am currently trying to get a refund for the trip I'm on now. When you look through the app is very obvious they want to make it difficult to refunds. Never again will I use this service!
App claims to hold parking spots but they're mainly for unattended lots and if they're attended, the lots don't recognize spot hero. I don't recommend using this app Update: I spoke to customer service and they offered a refund that will take two weeks to process. If that's the only recourse for reserving unmanaged spots then don't use this service. Go with attended properties if you want to pay for parking.

Fantastic app which offers many options for good, discounted parking. Customer service is amazing and resolves issues quickly. And if you need to cancel/change a reservation, the process is quick and easy and offers refunds for cancelation in either SpotHero credit OR refunded back to your original payment method. This App and the people behind it are great all around. Highly recommend!
Great app to reserve parking. QR code for easy enter and exit. Increased flat rate(recently) and free upgraded times on occasions. Just another option to spend more on parking.
Customer service is aweful. This used to be a very handy and cost saving app but now if I have any issue it's like pulling teeth. I was driving my dad to the hospital for an emergency and the garage refused our reservation when we got there which took them 10 minutes to lie to us that they were full but I'm guessing they didn't want to park an suv or honor the app since they didn't refuse till I showed them the app. Spothero didn't honor the cancel and it's been back n forth asking for a recipe
I've been using this app for months whenever I need to find parking in Philadelphia. It has worked great every time but yesterday an attendant at the lot refused to honor the reservation. Since it's prepaid, I was bracing myself to have to argue for a refund. Instead, I received the best customer service I can think of in a long time. She quickly told me she had found a new garage, just 2 blocks from the previous one, emailed it so I could map it & my charge was being refunded completely.
I'm trying to understand why I still have this app on my phone. Everytime I try to use it, I can't find a parking lot near where I'm going or I get an error that "something went wrong and SpotHero has been notified" and yet the error happens over and over.
Wife went to see a show on Broadway. I used the app to reserve a spot for her. Not only was the whole process easy, she said we saved $20 vs the advertised rate at the garage. Will definitely be using it again!
Always easy to use, and easy to change if you ever need to. And parking passes are available quick if you need a last minute spot
Usually works. But when it doesn't, it is incredibly frustrating. Just got charged 5 times for reservations that did not go through, i even got an error message in the app. But they charged me anyway. Was waiting on the phone for customer service for 15 min before hanging up. Sent an email and the quoted response time is 3-5 days. So I guess I'm not getting my $50+ back any time soon.
Needed a parking space at the last minute. Found it with Spot Hero easily. Worked perfectly. Have been using this parking lot literally for decades. SpotHero made it easier and cheaper!
This app is very useful when u in need of a parking garage right at the moment or for a later time. Just type address &/or zip code & it'll show u all garages near with prices.

Amazing app and idea. Poor execution. Your filter options are weak. Why can't I filter parking garages based in vehicle height allowed?

It's functional. Was confusing at first due to Google inserted my Gmail account and had signed up under Hotmail. Once I got that straightened out, all is good.
Used it 5 times now and great experience so far and directions are always clear. had an issue with one of the bookings (someone was in the spot I reseved). Called the customer service number and they booked me right away at another lot (and even better /closer one to where I wanted to be) at their cost. Would definitely recommend.
The app was great until it started not working. Everytime I log in, the app closes or puts me back at the login screen. It was just fine yesterday. I would give it more stars but this issue is frustrating. Especially, after I already purchased a few reservations.
Love, love, love this app! Parking can be so expensive. And this app really help you find a great parking space as close as possible to your stop.
I had an issue with getting a fine that given in error. This was eventually resolved through the parking vendor, but only after multiple contact attempts were ignored by spothero. I really like the app, but this was a really bad experience that took up a lot of time and energy.
