Spotlight X: Room Escape

Big downfall from the first game. Grafics are improved, but the gameplay is not as good. There is no indicator that I'm pressing buttons, othert Han the sound, thatI often cannot have on. The biggest problems are the ads, after I open the safe in the first room there is an ad that I can't exit from, so j have to force shut the game. I managed to pass that only by turning my connection off. It also happened after I opened the suitcase, I have no intention on shut-in my internet off. Fix it, pls

Some of the puzzles are really smart but I agree with others saying the light levels are bad. I have had to have multiple clues to just progress the game along but I do feel that the full story should be complete before release. Otherwise a good experience good graphics as well. Just maybe not make me sit through a million ads to progress in the game.

Great game but i have recently had issues on the chapter selection page. I have completed up to underground and it has downloaded but now i cannot select it to play. Since that glitch happened i can no longer select half of the levels i completed to replay them either

Great puzzles, everything is pretty logical, secrets are fun. Nice game, don't know what else to say, I enjoyed it very much.

Interesting story, just from the first chapter I played, but just into the second chapter I could not select the tools in my tool bar to use them. Frustrating to say the least. Was looking forward to this game, but I will be un installing.

Interesting game, but a lot of bugs. Difficult to play from phone with touch screen, end of chapter 1 didn't open at all, couldn't finish the game.

you can scroll down but the touch screen to select chapter isn't working past the initial Chapter selection bar, no error message or anything it just doesn't do anything. I can't even replay other chapters past lights off. It just doesn't do anything. I've Uninstalled again and cleared cache, I'm going to try starting from the beginning to see if it works now with all memory erased.

Of all the room escape games I played Spotlight is the best. Amazing graphics, music and story line. However I must say that the puzzles in Spotlight X are a little less challenging than the ones in the first Spotlight room escape. I reached the end of the levels too quickly and completed the first chapter in less than 2 hours. I'm hoping the puzzles in future updates will have a higher difficulty, because I love a challenge! Other than that, awesome game!

I never review apps but this one deserves it. Best free room escape app on the market, and better than most that you pay for. The puzzles increase in difficulty at an excellent pace, it rewards not using clues with a star system but still provides them, it gives you a loose ranking against other players, and best of all, all the puzzles, even the hard ones, make logical sense. It does not take extra knowledge and none of them are so stupid you need a clue to figure it out, but it will take time.

This game is better than some of the puzzle games out there! I hope the creators keep improving and creating because it's not a bad game! I rated 3 because I found there were too many number sequence puzzles going on at one time, it was hard at times to establish (even after watching the hint video) how the numbers fit together or where exactly they belong. Otherwise this is a good puzzle game and I would recommend this over many others on the market. Particularly for a free game it's great!

In 2016, I rated the original 'Spotlight' game 5 stars saying it was one of the best games I had ever played. 5 years later, 'Spotlight X' is pretty much the exact same game but the escape puzzle game genre has evolved so much it's left it in the dust. This game is trying too hard to be hard and puzzle solutions often don't make sense which makes this game not much fun to play. I couldn't wait to be rid of it and uninstalled after 8 levels even though there are more levels still to be released.

Decent game but it is locked every so often with ads that are not videos, are un-closeable, with no timer, no fast forward and no "X" in the corner, it just stays there. The frequency of ads is not an issue but when that paticular type of ad pops up, it makes the game unplayable. You have to close out the application and boot it again, then you are required to re-do whatever task you were working on before the Ad locks you out because it doesnt save what you were doing right before that.

This game is incredible. the storyline and graphics are both breath taking and the soft toned music played in the background is fitting. The only reason I didn't give it 5/5 stars is the adds hidden behind the hint section. I get that the adds help run the game and get it to such a great quality that it is but I think that we should get one or two coins per level completed. this would help get through the game and promote happiness in the people who play it. best of luck to the creators !

The puzzles were not intuitive at all, and in a lot if cases I would not have been able to get beyond a level without reading a walkthrough. But what really drives this review down is the complete lack of being able to beat level 6. The Activation code on the key card? The Activate button know the computer would not work. I even read the full walkthrough to make sure I didn't miss anything, and still it wouldn't work. Uninstalled without finishing.

Based on all the work that was done with the previous part of the game, which was one of the most exceptional quest/adventure games on mobile, you can not simply lower the standard by realsing three levels with level of difficulty way beyond the ones from the previous game. I know it's easy for the fans to point the finger but I do say all this with the due respect of a really big fan of the people who worked and made everything so far. I am sure upcoming levels will be better, so all the best!

I've finished you first spotlight game, some puzzles were amazing and the overall experience was great, my only problem was that in the last chapters the puzzles didn't make much sense(at least to me) and it disappointed me a little. In this one I'm pretty surprised it seems that everything makes sense cause there are enough or even more clues than needed . I'm so far enjoying the game with its easy-medium difficulty and I'm hoping for harder and more complicated puzzles that make sense.

I gave this 4 stars because the first few rooms were really good, they made sense, it was challenging but still kept you going. Absolutely loved it. However, these last recently added rooms felt lazily made, it's random and some of the clues are so far fetched, if you do figure it out it's almost annoying that that's what they thought would be a good idea to incorporate. Please make the next rounds as well as the first few.

Great game! The graphics are excellent, as well as very fitting music. Great combination of puzzles and creativity. As a big puzzle game person, I found the challenge to be just right. Not too easy, and just frustrating enough to make me struggle through quite a few of them! Excellent work, and I cant wait to play the rest. Cheers!

Could have been a great game. Stuck on first episode on the safe. When I put in the code I hear the opening sound, then an ad pops up. Concerning part is the ad doesn't have an "X" or close button to finish the game, therefore I can't make it back to the game to continue on. I believe the ad size dimensions are off so the full ad doesn't show up on screen.

I really love this game!! The story concept is quite unique, and so does the puzzle. I must say the puzzle is quite hard (or I'm just dumb) but the ads tho.... Ads appears everytime you've solve a puzzle, well at least it appears after you solved a puzzle I guess, better than appearing every second am I right? Anyway, can't wait for the next update on the level (≧▽≦) Good job btw!! Also a bit suggestion, your ways on interacting with object needs a bit fixing, I agree with others on this.

the Spotlight creators are back with my new room escape fix! (I'm addicted) the graphics are even better compared to the first game, I loved the puzzles. the 3 levels are all a bit short but very sweet. I'd happily pay for longer or extra levels. Waiting for more! PS: -hints are not working properly for safe/code puzzles - they get as far as showing the puzzle displaying the current code and exit abruptly -Some achievements don't help with the escape or make sense, like watering the plant.

Seems cool but also seems to play an ad after every puzzle solved? Or often? Which isn't in itself a problem since I understand free games have ads, but the issue is the way the ads are displayed - there's no X or "close" button for me to close them. I've tried shutting down the game and starting it back up and it often puts me back before I solved the puzzle and when I solve it again I'm back with an ad I can't X out of

The graphics were fantastic, and I like that it's not too easy, but that's pretty much where the joy ends for me. The excessive ads were annoying: not only is there one at the bottom at all times, but every time you solve a puzzle, BAM. It ruined the experience for me. I don't want to be rewarded by having to watch another ad! Ridiculous.

Awful. Not a single button on the safe lit up or showed, the puzzles are dead ends and after a while I found myself rapidly tapping the whole screen and found absolutely nothing. Opened the office, but that's as far as I got. No answers to any questions and just all rounded, really really bad. Might just be incredibly hard, but I'm very good at puzzle games and even I just couldn't crack it.

I was really excited to play this but have been getting more disappointed with it. Some of the clues make absolutely no sense regarding where you are in the level. The light panel in the lastest level is beyond frustrating and is always a different combination so even when watching a walkthrough it doesnt help. Games should be fun not frustrating.

Good graphics but deleted once I figured out the game doesn't have controls. Add a thumbstick to move around, crouch button to let the person crouch to open a lower drawer, etc. Add an option to switch back to the original version for people who prefer it. This would make the game 10x better & keep the player invested in the game for hours! It will also create a big step from basic escape room games where you navigate in boring pictures with no character to control, like this one.

the levels have about 5-10 ads in them if ur watching them for hints as well (about 3 minutes worth of ads are needed to get a hint). other than that the puzzles are often dead-ends, there are leftover items in ur inventory at the end of the level, and often there are hints that mean nothing and aren't needed for completing the level. some puzzles don't even need to be completed. and in order to get stars u need to complete random tasks. there's hardly any story other than "escape"

Some of the puzzles are just not at all self explanatory. Even though I'd find the right things and materials and understand what is needed- the explanation of how to use (i.e. numbers) was just bizarre and difficult. I couldn't even finish the game either because it would glitch and not allow me to put the stencil on the number grid. Even though I knew the answer- the game has a halt mechanism that wont allow you to move forward unless you complete exactly the sequence of actions. Deleted.

Well apart from very few puzzlea that i was not able to understand, the game is really good. The things you need to do to get stars are really hidden in plain sight. And the thing thta you can pass level without getting all stars makes you want to play the level again to get all the stars.

DEFINITELY NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST. The original was very detailed compared to this one. You can even notice in the number locks. Not as much effort put into this one. The chapters are also too short and sweet. Solved all of these in a little over a day. Little easier too. Still a very good game. Puzzles were still unique. The three little easter eggs you have to find to get all three stars in each chapter was fun. I guess I'm just angry because I was expecting much more.
