This app does not work!!! I installed it on my new Samsung phone, which I only have because Sprint/T-mobile forced me to get a new phone. I installed this app because it worked on my previous LG. On the Samsung this app does not work!! I get a 404 error when trying to read the help guide or FAQ. I have reinstalled it 3 times and it still doesn't work.

It's about time! It seems to be working for me on my unlocked Moto G6. But it's incredibly frustrating that it took so long for Sprint to bring VVM to unlocked phones. I've been a Sprint customer for over 10 years. Sprint works for me, but when a company struggles to survive like Sprint has been doing for so long, it seems a no brainier to put out an app quicker that might entice others to stay. VVM is a deal breaker for some as are carrier locked phones. Good move putting this out, but it should have been done long ago.

The app keeps sending false notifications without any description, and there are no new messages. Very annoying. When there are acutally new voicemail coming, it has a long delay even when you open the app, you have to wait for a while to get the new message. I had T-Mobile before, and their visual voicemail app doesn't have these problems. So it means these issues should be fixable. And also, can we have an option to get rid off the try premium ad on the top please.

Updated review. After several months of using the app I would agree with other reviews. This is very unreliable app. It doesn't pull voicemail well. If someone left you a voicemail it doesn't mean that Visual Voicemail will notify you about it or even see it. Also, if a voicemail doesn't get pulled right away, you will continue to see pending voicemail notify even after you listened and/or deleted it. So far I was able to find only one way to remove that notification: restarting my phone.

I have spent five months trying to troubleshoot this app with various levels of Sprint technical support because the sound for all voicemails is simply gone. Come to find out, the most recent build of this app has a known bug that affects thousands of customers and Sprint knows about it but doesn't even share it with their technical support team. If you're having an issue with this app playing voicemails, try clicking on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and choose uninstall update.

Stopped working once I upgraded my SIM to T-Mobile. I have relied heavily on this app to screen calls and am really disappointed it hasn't been working especially since it's a service I pay for. I see that others are posting they are having issues as well. I'll be calling customer service and asking for a credit until it's up and running properly.

This latest update has broken the ability to adjust the volume using the side buttons. Now when attempting to adjust the volume it attempts to adjust in-call volume, however the app is not outputting the audio as a phone call. It is outputting the audio as media sounds. Also getting the error speaker cannot be enabled while connected to Bluetooth. I am only connected to my Galaxy Watch. Please fix ASAP.

Having to use this is frankly a compelling reason to migrate away from Sprint. First, the app won't run without phone, sms, and storage permissions enabled regardless of which functions you're actually using (this is checked on starting the app and it will exit immediately if not granted). Second, it gives false new message notifications (an issue I have on two different phones on both Android 8 and 9). I'd steer totally clear of this app if I didn't need to ocassionally get voicemail.

Spyware and adware This app will not even run without without access to your phone calls, text messages, shared storage (music, photos, documents) and contacts, all these are totally irrelevant to the function of the app, which is to retrieve voicemails from the internet and play them on your phone so you can listen. It also contains ridiculous amount of ads, especially when you consider that phone service is already a premium service, but this is a much smaller issue than the spyware.

Hey, everybody, I tried in vain to get the Sprint VVM app to work after putting in the new Sprint/TMobile SIM card. After giving up I wondered if using TMobile's VVM app would work, so I installed it, and voila! I now have visual voicemail! Give it a try and see if it works for you. During the setup it will say that another account is already associated with the phone, and it will ask if you want to set up a new account. Do it. If you don't, it won't finish the setup. But it works! Yay!

So T-Mobile switched me to T-Mobile's network. My phone constantly dropped texts, dropped calls, and would not get Security Updates. So T-Mobile switch me back to Sprint's network. The T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app is still on my phone bit will not work. I tried downloading the Sprint Visual Voicemail app that was on my phone prior to being on T-Mobile's network and now I get an error that says "Cannot download Sprint Visual Voicemail" THIS NEEDS FIXED ASAP OR I'M LEAVING SPRINT/ T-MOBILE!!!!!!!

I have had no visual voicemail since July when I upgraded from my S8+ to my Note 10+. I didn't even realize I had voicemails at all until someone told me my voicemail mailbox was full. I had to manually go through many voicemails to get rid of many voicemails that I had no idea even existed. It is very frustrating to have this happen. I also have no options menu in the upper right hand corner. It is just gone. Imagine that....

The transcriptions are what youd expect from a voice to text app with about half of the message being unreadable. The biggest problem and one they are aware of is that the app will send you notices for messages that don't exist. You won't be able to remove it without restarting the phone. Even then it only removes it half the time. Currently I'm receiving no voicemails, but an receiving emails for them so that's fun. not worth the time or money

Wish I could rate this app a big fat zero. All the settings are turned on/correct. I get a text message when I have a new voicemail. No notification at the top of my screen. Talked to tech support a couple nights ago about it and he kept saying it was weird. So finally after about 40 minutes of putting me on hold and checking with a supervisor he tells me to text "start" to some 4 digit number. It comes back and says enabled. Still not working though. This app is garbage!! Trust the reviews!!!!

App can't verify my account either. Uninstalled but can't reinstall (Update: Can't do a full uninstall...it's still there). Now reading review guess there's nothing that can be done so I won't even bother calling Customer Service. So I'll be looking for an alternative. Update: Customer service has been responsive but it didn't seem like they were familiar with the problem. Ended up fixing it myself by clearing the data and cache then uninstalling the updates. Started working after that.

This app is terrible. Why do I have to have Visual Voicemail. I just want to listen to my messages without having to jump through all the hoops and it never opens once it 'verifies account information'.

A. G. u. Oct 2, 2019

This app refuses to work without the carrier hub installed per the error message. However, the app does load up and shows the voicemails that have recently been left, so I know it's working but it will not allow us to go past the error message until the hub is installed. When we press okay, it shows in fact the carrier hub is installed in the Google play store. Can't do anything more. Please get this fixed ASAP.

Voicemail volume is controlled by the media volume instead of the call volume. By default, call volume is toggled by the side buttons when using this app. If your messages are inaudible, and raising the call volume doesn't help, then access the media volume slider by pressing the audio settings button that pops up at the top of the call volume slider. This is annoying, but it works, at least for Samsung 10e Android version 11.

I’m trying to setup my new Samsung Galaxy A32 5G (purchased from T-Mobile/Sprint). When I go through the setup procedure, Sprint Visual Voicemail is installed automatically but not correctly. The icon shows up in the list of Apps but not in the list under Google Play Store. If you hold your finger on the App, you don’t get the option to uninstall it. If you try to install it from the Play Store, the error message says, “Can’t install Sprint Visual Voicemail. Try again, and if it still doesn’t work, see common ways to fix the problem.” The “common ways to fix the problem” don’t work. How can I get Sprint Visual Voicemail to install correctly?

Sprint needs something better than this with regards to VM messaging. This is pathetic. I have a pixel 3 that didnt originally have the voicemail app from Sprint. As i try to use the app it wont initiate therefore it wont tell me when i have a voicemail. I dont understand why with Sprint you are forced to download the visual voicemail app just to be notified. when i have used Verizon and At&t in the passed ive been able to plug in my sim and go. I wish it were that way with Sprint.

After spending 30+ hours so far trying to get this to work on an unlocked G6 (including factory reset twice) and continually given conflicting messages from Sprint support, it's clear to me this is conflicting with another app or setting. The app is awful and Sprint keeps blaming it on the phone. Further, Maggie from Sprint's higher level technical support claims that this is not a Sprint-developed app, that Sprint doesn't develop apps, that she doesn't know who developed it, and I should reach out to the author as Sprint doesn't support this app. Could Sprint technical support be even more clueless? ticket# 16985-44590 for anyone from Sprint who actually knows what the heck is going on. Sprint needs to add detailed logging functionality so we can troubleshoot the problem.

Awful. It is unforgivable and unbelievable that sprint charges for visual voicemail features that google voice offered for free--half a decade ago! My use of voicemail never recovered from the loss of google voice integration with sprint that happened few years back. In addition to above, the app is buggy, slow, and doesnt even have all of my voicemails. If I could rate this app with a negative number, I would. Honestly with the all these problems I am considering switching carriers

Does not show voicemail although does send them to text. Unresponsive, lacking in controls, and simply searches and searches endlessly without finding voicemail. Very disappointing and not free. You'd think it would work since we're paying for it. Old Sprint Visual Voicemail worked well, but the T-Mobile switchover has left many services wanting.

A. G. u. Sep 20, 2019

Another app now needed?!? Recently the app stopped working, when I opened it and told me that I needed to download another app to work alongside with this. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I uninstalled this visual voicemail app, and now I am not getting ANY voicemail notifications on my Pixel 3XL at all. This is absolutely unacceptable. I may end up leaving Sprint. I have so many issues with this service.

Like others say, you can't hear the message. My wife calls on the phone and I hear it perfectly fine. She leaves a voicemail and I can't hear it even though the volume is on 10. If I put the ear buds in, I can kinda hear it. Since Sprint is being taken over by TMoble, I'm pretty sure this won't be fixed and I'll just be told to switch to t-mobile as a solution. If I could hear the message, it would be great.

For those struggling with this app and getting no notifications.. the only way that has worked for me for a fix is to hold the app button down and then app info will pop up press it and then go to storage and clear data. The contents saved might be lost but chances are if you are reading this in frustration like I was you dont really care... after clearing the data close and reopen app and it resets the voicemail app.. cant believe I was on the phone with sprint for 30 mins for nothing. useless

A. G. u. Mar 6, 2020

Its a zero. With me. Unlocked Note 10+, this POS doesn't visualize anything. Its HOURs later then the app starts coughing up an icon ... sorta... it comes and goes... then the app has ZERO notices while running. I have to manually dial voice mail to see if i really have a message. Crazy. One the Sprint core weaknesses has always been 2 calls and VM handling. Aweful. Bring back Google Voice integration!!!

I just found out I had 20 voicemail messages ,I don't receive any notifications what so ever when someone leaves a message on my phone.this is a work phone and I can't continue to for this to happen because I'm losing money not realizing I had voicemail messages.when boost switched to 5g this is when I lost my message notifications..I've been with boost for over 10yrs now and I'm going to have to switch carriers if this continues.I sat on the phone for over 2hrs yesterday and still not resolved

Keep getting a random blank notification that can't be dismissed. Pixel 3a XL running android P. Also experienced running Q beta. Would love the ability to use Pixel's built in voicemail tab. Not sure why Sprint disables native Visual Voicemail on Android but not on iOS? I also experoenced this constant notification on my Galaxy S10+ so it is not specific to my device. Voicemail notifications are also very spotty/delayed. Ability to use native Visual Voicemail on Pixel would likely fix issues.

After fighting with the app to get it to install, I was not receiving notifications for voicemails. I called and checked my voicemail and I had 28 new ones! I am glad I read the reviews to know it is a problem on sprints end and not mine. Hope they fix it fast. Don't rely on this voicemail app.
