Sproggiwood is a beautiful game. I was ecstatic to learn that this mobile version exists. As roguelikes go, Sproggiwood is probably the best suited one for mobile. Unfortunately it keeps hanging for me when I try to enter the second level of the second dungeon. It runs perfectly up to that point, so I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's pretty hard to keep playing when the game stops working.
Loved it. I did run into the issue with lack of loading, but all the money I earned was saved so not really a huge loss the once or twice it happened. I wish there was a level between Normal and Savage. I'm not good enough for Savage, but I love the extra flavour the enemies have.
Was loving it BUT when I get to the last floor at the end of certain stages with certain characters the loading screen decides to not go away, wiping away 15-20 minutes of progress. Not a big deal until it becomes literally hours of wasted effort. Its hard to pick it back up again knowing at least one run is going to be pointless and it literally blocks you from finishing the game.
It's an extremely fun game. I don't rate alot of games on here because most of them are forgettable. But this one is time consuming,in a fun way. One little problem,I see there's more than a few options for controllers but the direction buttons on touchscreen are small for my fingers. Is there a way to make them bigger? Or can you make it so in another update? Update,I'm not sure if they updated it or I didn't see it but it's possible to change the size of the directional buttons. Thank you.
Game is fun enough, similar to the mystery dungeon games found on Nintendo handhelds in terms of combat, movement, and maps. Campaign is basically non-existent, I feel like if I'd paid for this game (played it through Play Pass) I would have felt massively ripped off for the amount of gameplay I actually got, thought there would be more after the end, but there wasn't. Town building feature is pointless and adds absolutely nothing to the game. Loot is basically identical across all classes.
Fun game mechanics, the narrator character is pretty annoying though. Most frustrating part is how often the game hangs at the closed curtain loading screen when moving to the next floor. All progress in the run is lost. Maybe I'll try again on a later version when this major bug is fixed.
Amazing game! Difficult sometimes but a nice roguelike fun. I'm not giving 5 because the game more often than not freezes in loading between floors, and more than a few times I lost a great run because of this...
Best turn based RPG I have played on android. Feels like a full handheld quality game more than your typical mobile RPG because the controls/gameplay are so great with no additional IAPs after you have bought the game. There are 6 classes you can unlock by playing, each with different skills and items to collect. Each class feels like a different experience and dungeons have random layouts so it was exciting completing all levels with each of them. Only thing missing is a cloud save option.
The game itself is really good, good story and good style of play. The only problem is that the game gets stuck on the loading screen between levels quite a bit. You then have to close the game and open again, losing all of your progress on that level
Fun game but unplayable because about a third of the time it freezes on the loading screen between levels and you have to close the app and lose all your progress. I've been on the second dungeon got at least 5 attempts without being able to continue.
This is a FANTASTIC, highly underrated strategy game. It's got fully randomized levels and 6 different playable characters, each with their own thematic abilities that give them a totally unique playstyle from the rest, so there is tons of replayability. Everything about this game tells me that it was made with love by a very passionate developer. Only a few people worked on this game, so the fact that they managed to make something this big and polished is extremely impressive. Well done!
Fun little game. Reminds me a bit of Polytopia in terms of being a surprisingly effective mobile approach to a genre that's usually much better with a controller or mouse. I look forward to more from this developer.
Lots of fun overall, helped by the juiced controls, diverse enemies, and lateral thinking. But gameplay tends to be repetitive and difficulty depends on the map generated in my experience. Story and overworld are half baked and not memorable.
I liked it a lot and had a lot of fun playing it! Theres a lot of replay value and different classes that give a fresh experience. Finishing all can takes well over 15h or more so its definitly good value for the price.
This is actually not a bad game. I had major problems with the loading screens freezing and the game not saving progress.
Fix the freezes! I stopped counting how many times this game stuck on loading screen in dungeon! There's nothing I hate more than a game doesn't even work properly!
The game would be an easy 5 if it werent as unstable. As othe players, I got locked a few times on the loading screen. On a good NEW device: 4gb ram, android 11.
A really fun game that sadly softlocks on loading screens between floors. I want to give it more stars, I want to complete the levels but its just broken
No ads, no in-game purchases, just a really fun and well-designed game. Levels are pretty short so it's good for casual play.
Decently made dungeon crawler, with enough variety and difficulty make you want to keep playing. I've had play pass for a while now so I don't really write reviews unless I'm genuinely satisfied and this is by far one of the best ones played
Can't get passed zone 2 first stage - loading screen doesn't disappear. Samsung galaxy s21+ Cool game though, will amend rating once fixed.
Game is good, but crashes frequently, especially on transitions to final floor.
The game as it stands is fine. The play is charming and has variety, the interface and gamepad support are amazing. 3 stars because it constantly crashes at the curtain between levels, rendering any sort of consistent progress impossible. I am not the only one to note this issue.
