This is so painful to use. It's one big convoluted mess. The posts don't even show up in the scheduled section, it's like they disappear into the abyss when you schedule something. Please just shut this headache down.
Bugs all the time. Not user friendly. I managed to make it work the first time, posted well, after that without any explanation don't post anymore. I had to do all manually... I will not use this app anymore. Made me loose time.
Posts disappear and fail more often than they work, certain important notifications don't appear on the app, only on desktop, and the interface is not intuitive.
Beware of downloading and giving your information to this app. There is no option to delete your account and your information stays with them.
Desktop is great, mobile is so bad that it makes me want to unsubscribe altogether. Scheduling doesn't work when you click save it just keeps refreshing, then when the time comes and goes when the post was supposed to roll out, it doesn't, which affects our brand negatively, especially if we are trying to collab with other brands and miss the launch windows. Will need to get this fixed asap or I don't see us using this platform for much longer
Sprout itself is amazing, but this mobile app is lacking. I cannot reliably view all posts in my calendar, drafts, or approval. Sometimes I can only see tweets, sometimes only Instagram posts, sometimes only scheduled posts, sometimes I can only posts on the app once they've been posted. It's very buggy and difficult to navigate. I need to reliably be able to edit and view all posts and I don't feel like I can count on this app.
desktop- amazing. on android not so much. notifications arrive fine but the moment you go to click one to open the app it freezes your phone, and after an unspecified amount of time will just close down so you have to log in and start again. I cannot use it for the reason and as an agency user managing 2 clients with 5 different social media accounts it is absolutely the BANE OF MY LIFE. We pay a decent amount of money to sprout but this really lets the service down as I cant check in on the go.
The desktop site is perfection and its so painful to see the app version lag behind. My workplace run events where we need to post timely and fast updates across all our socials. The app makes that near impossible, even on a high end Android phone it lags when adding pictures, throws up errors and you better pray to the gods you can post! We ask Sprout (no beg!) to take some inspiration from discord and their app and make the app experience just as amazing as it is on desktop.
It's ok. Smart inbox seems like a great idea but if you have very active threads with hundreds of comments, clicking on the comment should take you to the exact place in the thread for context. But it doesn't.
We spend an Exorbitant amount of money on sprout social services online for our business. App crashes 75% of the time (majority without sending a report) you loose all your work & for those of us on the go/at an event need to use this to schedule etc it defeats the whole purpose of having the app to make it easier. While the online pc web works well with its tools, the app on the other hand is a complete waste. You end up doing double/triple work, it crashes, or doesnt post at times. HEADACHE!
Horrible app. Absolutely useless for working on incomings. Nothing actually completes out!!!!! EDIT since the devs don't understand, I DO have the 'hide completed' enabled. The issue is that those that I complete out do not get COMPLETED. They show as un-completed in the web version once opened up. Way to put blame on users though. Very nice diversion.
Never works on the app. Have to close everything and save it as a draft and then wait until I'm at a computer to schedule posts. Constantly crashes and is a waste of time. Save yourself the trouble and just stick with the online version.
Doesnt open at all on my Android (Samsung Galaxy 10+) When it tries to launch, there is a blank screen and then my phone crashes. I dont have this problem using my laptop/desktop version. 😔 Update on review 8/13/19: Upadate worked! Bugs are gone. Thanks!!
The website definitely works a lot better, but the app makes it convenient for quick posts. Since the last update though, I haven't been able to press the "share to sprout social" button on a post from Instagram and have it work. If that was fixed, the app would be a solid 3.5/5
Somewhat disappointing. The Desktop version is alright, but if I need to work away on my phone, it's almost impossible. I'd appreciate a in-app translation tool or at least the ability to copy text which is not possible right now.
It's kinda okayish. User Interface needs revamping. So, it's better checking updates on each platform. Sprout Social can help with combined performance reports though (and that seems to be the major utility at all). Combined posting isn't working very well. Facebook, Insta posts keep failing despite reauthorization, and YouTube cannot connect due to OAuth requirements. I hope the team resolved these issues.
I was looking for an easy way to manage our company social media accounts. I trialled every single app that I could find a free trial for, and Sprout Social has consistently come out on top in comparison. It can be pricier than other options, but you definitely get what you pay for 👌 Customer service is also very polite and swift at answering questions, resolving any issues and giving advice when required. 10/10
It doesn't works. Stops suddenly. Since download I've not been able to use it even once😑. And worst, their executive's are not replying to the mails. And the funny thing is, their website keeps on insisting to use their android app😂😂😂. Hope someone will return back to me after this review. SPROUT SOCIAL, your app is one of the worst apps I've seen 😡
This app is an outright scam! After reading some articles on their site they offered a free 30 days trial of the application. After signing up and entering my social media handles, I could not log on or even use my free trial. All I got from the app was the message: "You need an active subscription to log on." I promptly uninstalled Sprout from my phone. Why offer something which you know you are not ready to give? Please don't fall for their free trial trick. Avoid signing up at all costs!
Would not recommend if your just going to use the mobile version. That has issues around uploading pictures and video. desktop version is fine.
I'm being stalked and my stalker uses sprout social to stalk me from. I've reached out multiple times for them to remove her from my accounts and no response. Thank you sprout social for being the reason I'm never left alone
Terrible app. All it does is show a white screen with a leaf repeatedly. You can't do anything and to exit, you must restart your phone. Not useful. I fear it is a scam.
This is the worst app I've ever downloaded and you literally have to login on a computer because you can't delete your account from your phone. Don't get tricked into unlocking your social media handles!
Awful app, constantly losing my posts, needs me to repeat work all the time. App hangs on me randomly. Randomly logs you out and cancels your scheduled posts. Support team not really interested, would rate less than one star if I could!
Its unfair to make me go through the process of downloading and signing up on this app only for it to be unable to add an account to work with. I'm giving you one start because I can't post without giving you a star. It's very frustrating working with this app
