Spur

The Spur app is somewhat new and raw. The different parts in prior releases do not play well together ... and they very easily could. For example, the job notifications associated with the calendar portion of the app do not inform whether you are already booked that day. However, the notifications under Profile/Teams, does notify you of conflicts, a very useful feature since time is of the essence in successfully grabbing shifts. Just one example. I will revise after exploring this update.

Worst App EVER!!! It is always locking up and freezing. Half the time I can't clock in or out without some kind of issue. Customer service is a JOKE!!! The only reply I usually get is please be patient because school has started back and we are unable to get back with you as quick as we'd like to. If I didn't have to use this app for my job I wouldn't have it on my phone. I think they know certain people have to use it depending on where they work and that's the only way the stay in business because it's certainly not for their professionalism.

I never get notifications for jobs that are open. I previously had an iPhone wasn't getting notifications so I switched to an Android. With my LG I received the notifications but since changed to a Galaxy 10 and now I don't receive notifications again. I've got my settings set in app and on phone to notify me but I never get notified and I lose jobs all the time.

I miss out on so many jobs because the app does not send a notification to my phone that there is a job available, I literally have to stay on the app refreshing it to catch a job opening because if I go more than an hr without being on it there's at least 3 jobs I miss out on because the only notifications I receive are in app notifications which is hard to do when working. Please fix this so its fair for everybody and not just people who can stay on the app all the time.

every time I call they are very helpful an email me right back when I need help. My problem is with the app itself. it keeps force closing or give me the runaround how about a lot of things. I did the background checks and everything and the sites are down. so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get a job if every time I try to do anything .it's all pending

Welp. Start of another school year and the APP still does not give audible or visual notifications on my Samsung phone. I have to go to the app icon, click on it, THEN I can see the red circle on the bell. Already missed chance at 6 assignments. Been complaining since January 2020!!

Does not actually notify you that there is a job posting. You have to go in the app to see if there is a job "notification". Usless bell icon, you cannot click the notification and secure posting, you have to go to calendar at accept that way.

I really need this app because I need work. This app doesn't let me login online with my credentials I used on the app. The app and website are not correlated. I cannot use the online feature. I also cant use the app offline. I need help and emailing doesn't work. I talk to bots that generate universal messages that never help the problem. Yet they always send surveys. I wish I can login online. Also wish the app was more secure. I have sensitive information entered on the app and do not want the risk of hacking. Please help me login online so that I may work efficiently. Thank you

I think this is one if the worst apps that I've ever encountered. I think the company is one of the most deceptive ones that I've worked for. I really wish MPS would not use this company because I really love what I do but this company and app almost makes me want to quit. They have disabled the the message forum for substitutes. I think this us to keep us from identifying and sharing Spur's deceptive practices. The app does not notify you of any changes to your schedule or to your pay. The company changed my pay without notifying me and when I called about it they didn't want to do what's right and pay me at first. They then called back and said they would pay me the entire amount but my paycheck says differently. My screenshots of my timecard does not match my check check stubs. The app also have so many glitches, it is ridiculous. When I want to check old timecards, it forces me to rate those closed shifts before I can view my timecard. The app also buffers for a long time very often. There has been times when I accepted a job and it has been canceled but I was never notified of the change. I could go on and on. Unfortunately, this is a very poor app and the company practices are very shaky and unprofessional.

Notification are useless, clicking on the job doesn't go to the open job. Apparently the app is set up to show 50 jobs at a time for a particular date -- not enough space to show jobs posted thereafter. I was told to click on a certain date an jobs for that date should appear, not! Please fix

Horrible, Ive Updated cause it wasnt showing my pay stubs and said to update. Now I cant even log into the app as it says it doesnt recongnize my creditials. However if I try to recreate the account with the same email I used for it, says theres already an email associated with it. Resetting password still doesnt help. smh

Appleton and the School Board need to rethink using this app to fill their daily teacher absences. It is having the unintended consequence of losing many qualified Substitute Teachers because it is just too unfriendly and aggravating to navigate. This app is required for my job as a Substitute Teacher or I would definitely not have it on my phone. I have been reading the responses to a lot of the earlier reviews and find it comical that the common response is 'We are so sorry for your problems. This is definitely not the experience we would like for you to have.' It is even funnier based on the responses I get from tech support when I contact them with a problem. They always give me a pat answer that absolutely has nothing to do with my concern and absolutely does not answer any questions I may have asked. I think they have a list of premade answers that they pick and post from and they don't even look at what your concern or question is. I've even gone to a meet and greet with the developers and got the very same kind of support. All I heard was 'We are sorry you are having those issues. That is not the experience we would like for you to have. We will certainly pass that on so it can be addressed.' Who do they think they are kidding? I was born at night, but it wasn't last night!

I need this app in order to clock into work every day but it it awful! Doesn't work half the time the calendar is screwed up and my days are all over the place. I suggest someone go to the next highest bidder and find so mine who can create an app that actually works 100% of the time if you are going to require your employees to use it on a daily basis.

The customer service is awsome! Everyone is so professional but friendly. The switch was super easy and I enjoyed my experience with Spur.

My only problem is that when you open the app to clock in it doesn't take you to the day of, it's left on the last day you worked and you have to tap the "back to today" button everytime! It's really annoying and it needs to be fixed

App has been a pain in the rear since I started. I love my job, but clocking in and out on the app has been horrible. Just deleted the app from my phone and had to reinstall just to update the app, which of course should not have to be the case. I will use the app for the rest of the week and update my review at the end of the week.

This app is terrible. Half of the time it won't let me clock in or out. I hate it!

The more I use the app and the more they try to update.. the more I hate it. Not user friendly, a lot of issues, and cant seem to enter hours correctly nor after calling in have my pay be correct.

App is awful, it rejects times even when you attempt to adjust times. If trying to edit it accumulated more issues that you cant adjust.I have not gotten paid correctly since work began,and for the current week missing 3days. When you call in to speak with live person they are polite and professional over the phone,but as soon as you hang up the error os still there and hours worked is not cleared. Nothing worst than not being paid properly after working all week, sick of calling i.

Requires photo of high school diploma or ged for assistant management position, which isn't something that's readily available. And after a week of working with my current employer, they still haven't been able to get me into the system and are having to manually write me a check and print a schedule.

This app has seen huge improvements over the past few months. Clocking in and out has gotten much easier and there are constant improvements that make the experience better. Keep up the good work!

Job notifications are not received when jobs are clearly available. This is problematic as app must be frequently checked for available jobs, deeming the app next to useless.

A USELESS and TERRIBLE APP Even with -so called updates it still 😪 it does not work correctly 😕 when l try to log in it gives an error message about my location service's (which is on-by the way).

App is horrible. I get a notification for a job. As soon as I get it that same second I click on the job to accept it and it says something like Sorry something went wrong when trying to accept this job. Please try again. Then when I try again it says the job is taken. When I call it all I get is people beat me but I dont think you understand how quick I am clicking on these jobs and to never get one.

This company consumes a lot of space. I have added a sums card and your company is still asking for more space. I deleted weather alerts and news. Do you provide a phone for this company to use 9 months out of the year. Is this a profit sharing company?

I have been laid off from my job due to the pandemic. (March) I was told I would be placed back with my position when school started back. I still have not been placed, no notifications for placement, an have called repeatedly to get placed back at my site, explain that site is needing me. All to find out that spur gave my position to someone else.

Spur is a great agency to work for. They provide you with excellent training. They are one of the best Temporary Service I have worked for.

I am blessed to have an amazing job, that I love. The fact that SPUR is passing on some of their savings in the form of a raise is awesome. The give always they have are also really cool.

Had this app for about 3 months and no job offers. waste of time and I really dont like how they require bank info from the jump. Maybe change that part and actually help customers.
