Spurgeon Sermons

I paid for upgrade to pro and never received it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I restarted my phone. Still no pro edition. I cleared the cache. Still no upgrade. I have liked this app, but feel something is not right. I would give a much better rating if I received what I paid for. Update review: The developer replied. The only thing I hadn't tried is clearing data. That worked! The upgraded version is great. Hence, the new rating.

I upgraded but it doesn't show it! I purchased the full app upgrade but the ads didn't go away, the, other content that I was supposed to get was unattainable and after force closing the app several times, I could not get it to see that I upgraded. HELP! Update: As soon as I finished this comment, I thought about the one thing I hadn't dive abs that was uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. A bit unnecessary I believe, but it worked. So I'll increase my 1- star comment to 4.

Missing key elements of usability such as text reader marking point of stopping to pick up where you left off rather than starting at the beginning each time. Worse, I discovered that a large 20 word segment of the text was missing making the reading without meaning. When I went to search by sermon number I found a providing site I deemed better and uninstalled this one. Thanks!

I enjoy the structure of the app, but I just upgraded to be able to search by scripture passage, and it did not enable access to the pro features. I tried restarting the app and that didn't work. Thank you in advance! I'm searching for sermons on 1 Timothy. Edit: Support team helped me fix it very quickly! Thank you!

I'm absolutely loving being able to read Spurgeon's sermons! Thank you for creating this app. *Update: I still love this app but have noticed the error of an entire sentence missing in a sermon. I only noticed because it was cut off mid sentence but continued with another sentence which changed the meaning somewhat dreadfully. I recommend looking up the actual sermon online if you run into confusion like I did.

Don't turn on the text-to-speech. It can't be shut off even when closing g the app. I did a forced stop of google text-to-speech and it kept running. If you don't want to hear a computerized voice going on and on don't press the (") button in the top right corner.

Such an amazing app and such a nominal cost for all it gives you access to. I was previously purchasing Spurgeon sermons for 99 cents per volume (around 60 sermons) through Google Books. Now I can highlight and favorite sermons almost as easily as I do in my other ebooks. When my screen rotates, I lose my place in the sermon as it scrolls back to the beginning, but this isn't too much a bother to me as I just scroll to where I last highlighted.. and rereading a portion can't do me any harm.

First of all, I love Surgeon's sermons and this app gives me access to thousands of them. Then I like the ability to determine the sort, whether chronological or alphabetical. I also love that I can adjust the print size. And there are several other resources that can be used in the app.

This app is such a blessing. All the fine and heart-touching Spurgeon sermons can be found in here, the layout is great and you can either highlight where you stopped reading or if you would like to draw your attention towards any specific phrase. this app is a blessing indeed.

Love this app. So glad I ran across it. Even paid to upgrade to the full app with added features and no ads. I have an issue/question though. Why do the three menu items with a candle icon (Morning & Evening, Prince of Preachers, and Quotes) only open my Facebook app. They do nothing else but open Facebook. Is there and fix for this? Five stars if this was fixed.

Paid for the upgrade, but the ap didn't notice. Wasted 4$... Uninstalled and reinstalled and the upgrade is now there. However the audio version is very poorly done. Can't pause rewind or fast forward. And it's really robotic speech. No Bueno

Biblical Knowledge Overload With One Easy Tap . These sermons are so helpful and encouraging. The fact you can read them instead of listening is fantastic because I love reading and taking notes and highlighting stuff. Definitely great appt to have if you want to learn more about Gods word. You have nothing to lose but knowledge & wisdom.

Been using the App for abt 4 years. Best addition to the Bible for understanding the mystery of scripture❤️ I use it with the @Voice App so I can pause sermons. Would have been great if the search functionality included searching content and not just the titles. Dankje!

Love this app! The only thing that would make it better is a narrator reading the sermons, because sometimes it takes me several times reading through a sermon before I can finish it due to taking care of the kids.

i hate the voice and it is read so fast i can hardly understand it. ine recommendation was to change the TTS settings. no idea where that is. Didnt find it under general settings nor google settings, nor the app settings. also I would REALLY like to pause without the sermon starting over. anyway to do that??

Splendid. A wonderful, well-designed app containing all of Spurgeon's thousands of sermons with many other features besides. Spurgeon has a winning combination of teaching the unchanging truth of God's Word with a healthy dose of His neverending grace without compromising either. If you long for truly Biblical teaching, you'll love this app. Devs are very responsive, which is a big plus also. Well worth the purchase price.

I don't always read the entire sermon in a single setting, but when I come back it doesn't remember where I was. I have to find the sermon again (if I remember which one) then scroll to find where I left off. A "history" or other similar feature would help greatly.

Purchased the upgrade but the upgrade didn't work. Notified customer service via email. They responded within 10 minutes with the fix. BRAVO !

You can't find a better App. for a variety of sermons, encouraging word's, and knowledge in God's word. The Spurgeon app. is great for your growth. The Prince of Preacher's Charles Spurgeon, is a true gem for every Christian! I thank God for every person, who was involved in putting together this Treasure trove of jewels, to help every Christian become stronger in our relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Purchased the upgrade and it hasn't worked even with restarting my phone. Lots of steps to get the upgrade, but Spurgeon delivering the Word is worth its weight in gold.

Love that this has so many sermons in one place and they are arranged alphabetical or chronological. I love Charles Spurgeon and appreciate all the hard work put into this app to give such expository treasure for free. I would give 5 stars except that if you have to close before finishing reading, you lose your place.

I just love it. It inspires me when it comes to prepare my devotions. Often times it helps me open up my mind for scripture I have dificulties to understand. The fact that it was written very long ago, it carries great passion for really teaching compared to writings of these days people write for their glory.

I purchased the Pro version and had a problem unlocking its features, but the developer was very helpful. After clearing all App Data and rebioting it worked fine.

Upgraded to pro but did not get options. I closed the app and reopened it without success. Can anyone help? Update, found clear case and it worked. However, still unable to have his sermons read, can't find it???

I have been most blessed encouraged and instructed through the word of God as presented by Charles spurgeon's. His teachings are very valid even for today's Society. Challenging the best Bible scholars, and still given with simplicity and love, to the uninformed child in Christ.

This is one of my most frequent go-to apps! I use it for my devotional readings, as well as a source material for my sermon preparations. Thank you!

The sermons are absolutely divine because of who penned them, but I paid the $4/5 to hear the audio and it is regretable... You can't pause it without it starting all over again and it tends to glitch and start all over again... I would say save your $4/5 dollars and give it to those in need and use the voice the Lord has given you and read it out loud; the Holy Spirit will appreciate your eyes and ears taking the manna in from your God given gift.
