SQL Practice PRO - Query Tool

Fantastic! App works great on Chromebook without needing to install anything else or switching to Linux tools. The user interface is simple, clean and intuitive with no ads (big plus!) which further enhances the learning experience. The program is very responsive and each question gets progressively more challenging than the one before. Because there are several variations of SQL, the user may encounter syntax differences resulting in incorrect answers, but no biggie. Thank you!

It has all the tools needed to learn SQL. Documentation, questions, answers, autocomplete and even a playground. I like the simplicity and progressive hinting (the tested concepts are only shown in the main list). Only improvements I can imagine are a daily or weekly query and maybe a feature to test the efficiency of the query.

I've been looking for an app that let's you play around with sql as a learning tool for a while now and this one is pretty decent. It has around 30 questions, with answers you can look and check yourself against, and you see the outcome of your query as well which is super helpful. The level is pretty basic, but it's an awesome tool for a beginner like me. Definitely hope to see more of those!

This is the best app of its kind that I've found. I'm a hands-on learner and this is perfect for learning and practicing. I just wish there were more practice problems. I've completed all of the ones available and now I have to go look for an inferior app so I can keep learning.

Nice simple, well structured app without ads and that is much appreciated. One thing thing that I would like to see is a larger text input field. Maybe show 3 lines instead if one. The field does grow as You type, but there is plenty room in the screen for larger text input.

An amazing App that covers any thing you need to learn from Sql query, allows you to make self evaluation and with a available correct answers after your trial to get an immediate feedback . Therefore I encourage everyone who is interested to master databases to have it in his/her phone. I'm sure you will be perfect in database querying if you grap those #32 free concepts. I just studied almost half of the concepts(14) in one/first night Thank you all and Good lucky.

Great app. Helps keep my memory fresh on querying, but also helps me learn new functions I was previously unaware of. I found one instance whereby my query didn't return results even though it was basically the same (The string was caps sensitive which i didn't think mattered whether upper or lower, it should still return?). Other than that, only other thing you could add would be a breakdown of each query and to help beginners understand it more. Really good app though 😄

Just a brilliant, fast and light example of what a practicing app should be. Particularly I like the way the app checks answers basing on what they really do rather than what exact query the author kept in mind (which could be quite annoying). It helped me a lot in understanding the basics of SQL. I just can join the vast majority of reviewers with my pity that I'd like to have more questions.

I don't write reviews. But this app greatly deserves it. I have never seen an "intro coding" app ever work so well at the basic understandings to where I understood it without being incredibly wordy. And YOU CAN PRACTICE. Such a good format for learning. Good job. I only wish it could be in the mySQL format and less of continuous line but it works for the purpose of learning. Can you do one for JavaScript, HTML, and/or CSS? I'd pay $10 one time to get an expanded version of each.

Great app to help you learn SQL! The layout is very simple yet extremely effective. I only wish there were more questions to practice with. If you're learning SQL or brushing up on your skills this is a must have app!!!

Effecient learning. There is a very useful breakdown of topics in the learning materials button on the top of the home screen. But none of the "Try for yourself" code works with my device (android)

This was very helpful in reviewing SQL Select queries. I wish it had more problems to solve, though. That would help reinforce the concepts.

Very good but needs a bit of intro for real beginners. They need to know what is the environment. Like a database is a set of tables that are related... Tables are... Columns.... Overall, it is good practice although syntac could differ in different db engines. Diagrams could also give good explanation.

This is a brilliant app 💯👍 I hope the developer could add a feature where users can add a database as well as tables. Also hope they could add more sql functions and more sql sample problems. Thumbs up for this app. Definitely helped me a lot. Also I commend the developer for the design and it's really easy to use. Thank you!

Gradual increase in query challenges. Always good as a refresher. When writing queries, predictive text provides selectable options specific to each question's database and all SQL language elements, which is very handy when typing on your phone. Great app that does exactly what it says.

Great app, lots of basic and intermediate queries. Answers are easy to see with a click if you get stuck. Worked great on my Galaxy Note. It is very easy to practice many different queries quickly. I recommend it if you want to quickly check how to do a query or if you need practice or a quick SQL query refresher. Very useful.

Amazing app for something thats Free! Good hint, prompt you to give it a try before peek at answers, and as long as you reach the same outcome they wont mark you wrong but still show you if there's better/faster way to achieve it, I think its a very good learning app.

Currently working on a Data Analytics Certification, and this is great for practice. Actually, I'm learning a bit more about SQL through this app than I am in my courses. Probably because it's actual practice rather than purely academic. (-1) star for the times I wrote an exact match (in space and syntax) to your query but was still marked incorrect. And that's easily remedied by copy/pasting. All in all, good app.

This app has an excellent variety of questions about SQL, ranging from easy to difficult. It lets you type entire queries, which makes the questions much more challenging than drag-and-drop answers. The app grades intelligently and accepts any query that gets the correct result. I sometimes learn new things by comparing my correct answer to the app's answer. If I get an answer wrong, seeing the correct output provides a hint that helps me fix my query. I highly recommend this SQL practice app!

Its perfect in the way its gets you try but shows the answer to help you to progress through if you get stuck. Obviously allowing you to go back through previous exercises helps you to retain the knowledge. Brilliant more apps please

Awesome app to help me refresh my SQL skills! With questions starting at a level that's basic enough, but not too basic, and incrementing in difficulty, it's a great app! Love that there are no ads. My only suggestion would be to have an option to hide the name of the questions (i.e. count, min) as to not give hints before we want them

Questions are good, but numbers are very limited. And topic are not so properly structure. What i think, and its just my opinion, topics should be come serially as it is in the book, and the complexity of the questions should be increased gradually. i think in some topics like subquery, this approach would have been really good.

The best practical SQL app for beginners. The code is easy to write, has 32 well structured exercises which can help users prepare for and get used to job interview tests. This app is what you need to exercise and learn anywhere. Hope there will be more exercises added.

I like it! Its a covers all the essential sql stuff. If you are looking to brush up on SQL this is a good place to go for a quick refresher! Especially the DML part of SQL. I really appreciated the helpful hints you put in the top and after I ran the query. It didnt give me the answer it gave a helpful hint and showed the output of my query versus the right answer.

Great concept! Concise and pro. I hope for one more improvement: put all the new commands to complete a query in the help. For example when you ask to use "ORDER BY" add to it "DESC" so we would have it right. Thanks for your efforts!

I haven't written SQL in a year since chamging jobs and thought I would try this app to refresh my memory and it has been absolutely fantastic. I am particularly a fan of being marked as correct even if my solution is different from the apps as long as our answers still match

It is very good. One issue is that when I am using it offline I cannot access the tutorial sites. So having something offline to explain concepts would be good.

I've recently learnt basic SQL and this app is a useful practice tool and a great resource because it challenges my knowledge whilst providing answers where I need them. I particularly like the way it marks my answers as correct even when my method differs from the guide as long as the answer is the same. Great app!

Good app to quickly learn SQL basics. One improvement if they can make is whenever you edit the code in between the auto predict feature doesn't to populate tables or columns.
