I am honestly very surprised by the amount of negative reviews I have come across here. I have used square trade numerous times over the years when my devices have become damaged (twice it was only months apart from already receiving a replacement for the same device) and I have had zero issues or complaints. The process has been incredibly easy. I also find their customer service dept to be one of the best I've had to deal with ; no waiting on hold, pleasant and helpful staff, etc.

Was forced to get the app in order to process a reimbursement. The app intentionally crashes at the last step. When you reach out for help. They continuously request the same information in order to drag out the process. Odds are you will HAVE to get this app in order for them to do what you are paying them to do. But be prepared this is only a small step in the long process.

Buyers be aware that is a recurring deduction from your account, the deductible is high, coverage is limited, and if you are not careful you will end up paying more than the actual cash value of your device, 2 years is good for cell phones. I made the mistake of not checking and after 3 years I payed more of what I was supposed to.

App is useless. On my Sony compact XZ1, it deleted my responses to the chat support agent as I typed them to him if he messaged me first, before I could press send though the app. On top of that, every time I try to pull up my service plans, it says there's a server error. In fact, opening almost any link in the app results in a server error.

Downloaded app but when I sign in, I'm taken to a page that asks me to enter verification code from code generator app. What authenticator app and where is the key/qr code to scan? Ridiculous

I have just tried for the past 4 days to file a claim through both this app and what website. I have failed to make headway through either way. When I try to start my claim I get stuck in a never-ending loading screen. After finally making a phone call I got a claim started. There are three options available when you file a claim you mail the phone to the repair center they fix it and send it back. Option number 2 as you take it to a repair facility nearby pay to have it fixed send them an itemized receipt and they reimburse you. Option number three which I just did for a different phone is they know you a replacement phone they put a hold on your credit card and you send yours back,

I've never been able to login to the web site or app on any device or browser - not surprising as the app uses WebView during the authentication process. Despite working with support, this issue has persisted for around 18 months. I know a few others with this issue as well, but at least one with no issues. Because this convolutes the process of using the service, I regret having purchased Square Trade protection on a couple of products I've purchased from Costco over the past couple of years.

Horrible experience with them. You have to go through hoops to make sure you get your money/claim. My dresser was coming undone before my move and they tried to say the movers did it. Just cheap material. Will not be buying anything online at Walmart site or anything that involves square trade INS. The app sucks. You can't view anything on it. It just shows that you have items with ins, no pics to see which one you are clicking on. You have to use a desktop version.

Trying to file a claim for a cellphone since yesterday and keep getting the message "There was an error. Please try again". I've tried their website on multiple computers and this app and the same message is occurring. Chat rep says the site is under maintenance, yet no mention on site. Very frustrating. I've never had issues with SquareTrade before. Are they running out of money to fulfill claims?

Reasons not to trust SquareTrade: 1. They "silent bill." Never once got emails with statements, and even within the app you can't find statements or monthly payment info. I had to rely on my credit card statements. 2. Despite multiple 'confirmed' attempts at submitting my receipt when I bought a new phone (to update coverage), the app still only shows my old phone and old phone purchase date (now over a year old). I suspect that's a cop-out for them when you try and file a claim.

I have been using square trade for many years now and I am completely satisfied. I like to keep all my electronics and non electronics as well covered by square trade they are reliable, dependable, hassle free, And most of all professionals. I started using square trade eight years ago on Amazon. They have their own app It's very easy upload the receipt of your purchased items so you don't have to worry about it when you need it. no Thank you square trade.

The service is great although slow. One thing that I think they're lacking is a more competitive price point for the deductibles. I would probably suggest a direct deposit function for repaying a claim. But all in all I've never really had a big problem dealing with this company.

Overall good. Streamlined way of checking my plans and adding new ones, among many other things. I'm made to change my password all the time though, which can be frustrating. I know them, I save them. I shouldn't have to change them this often. Otherwise, very good.

the app is very buddy. you cant edit your plans and they are just label with a generic name like electronics. Well I have 2 TV's a cellphone and a color laser printer. all have plans. it is a hasslentonfigure out which plan gonwith each item. The bottom line is this app is not user friendly. stick with the url.

Does not allow to add receipt like it used to. Had to go through support to add. There's no option available to add a warranty anymore. I don't know where they've placed it in the app and I've searched.

I REALLY WISH walmart never converted over to this mess of a app my plans are always missing they dont have records of my reciepts which I took pics of after every purchase and saved and I never get anything resolved sending me back and forth and im the customer who paid!! Ive been trying to file a claim for about 6 months now! And its the same silly process even after you speak with a rep! Im upset at this point

What, pray tell, is the point of filing a claim through this app IF YOU HAVE TO FREAKING CALL ANYWAY once you put all of your product information in? Seriously. You have the product name, model number, serial number, receipt details, description of the problem, date it started, my phone number, my address, etc...and you STILL need to call in only to repeat 90% of what was entered? I thought the whole point of an app or website was for faster and easier claim filing than a phone call and waiting, say, ten minutes on hold? Why not just, you know, call in from the start? This renders the app pointless. You say you're an Allstate company. Well, I have Allstate car insurance, and calling in right after filing a claim electronically only to repeat information is unheard of. Hmm. So, yeah. Your useless app gets one star. SquareTrade as a company is decent, but this is just plain dumb.

Horrible Nightmare! This used to be a good warranty company and I have used them for years, but this last claim I made has been nothing but ridiculous. After 2 phones finally received a replacement phone that was like the warrantied phone. But that was just the beginning of the nightmare, they would not return my emails or send me a shipping label for the broke phone and then changed me $750 for my replacement phone! Called today to say I wanted my money back, it would be 2-4 days they say!

My Daughter received an iPad Pro last Christmas, so I thought I would cover it with Square Trade, I called them up to see if there would be any issues and they told me as long as we can install the app and take a picture in the mirror everything would be covered. They suggested I get ahold of the person who purchased it and get the receipt, and add it when I got the chance. Well she broke it and they will not cover it since the person who got it for her, got it on Black Friday. DO NOT USE!!!

Filing a Claim Made Hard on You. I filed a claim for my cracked phone, and I had submitted the receipts for the phone itself and it also had the dates, and now I'm getting told that it's invalid because it didn't have the date. so I went ahead and uploaded the picture again, and it's been a week and they haven't gotten back to me and I have tried calling and keep getting told My account looks good when I keep getting emails saying that the receipt is incorrect.

So having an issue with a "refurbished" replacement phone. Can't get a consistent answer out of anyone. Have escalated the issue to the "back office". Called to follow up and have been told they will call me back shortly. That still hasn't happened. So here I sit AGAIN ON HOLD trying to get a resolution. So disgusted. I have other warranties with Squaretrade before and have never been treated like this when dealing with an issue.

I always encourage family and friends to buy insurance on items at Walmart. Square Trade does honor their word, if they can't fix it after trying numerous times they will return your money. I have been using this insurance for my than 12 years and have never had an issue with the claim process. Easy steps. The Best.

Does not work. I tried to file a claim on the website and it didn't work. Use the help chat and I was told to download load the app because the website doesn't work with certain PCs and browsers. I download the app, it redirects me to the website on my phone. Still get error messages. Useless!!!

I've bought several plans from square trade for many years because they didn't have monthly charges like the carriers do. Now not only are they charging monthly, but the price is close to twice as expensive. Anyone that is interested I would take a look at upsie. They seem to be what square trade use to be.

Compared to the iphone version, this app is terrible. It will NOT let me activate my plan for a newly purchased samsung galaxy. When I go to my plans, it doesn't give me the option. It only lists my plans as "cell phones" and not the actual names of the devices as it does on the iphone app. How am I supposed to make a claim in the future if I need to if I can't activate my plan? I used to really like square trade but the android app is making them practically unusable.

horrible customer service, takes long time to get rep. Lying about services that never fulfill. Save your money. Exchanged for refurbished phone psying $100 deductable that broke after 35 days. They told me I have to oay another 100. I did better- bought myself new LG G6 on sale for $230(actually it was $460 deal " by one get one free through t- mobile). Now do the math: Plan cost $ 129. replacement $100 After a bit over a month they wanted another $100. STAY AWAY!!!

I had a battery issue with a Samsung Note 8 and all they had to do was install a new battery. Instead they had me send my phone in 3 separate times to say they couldn't duplicate my issue and therefore would not fix the battery. Done with them...

Worked great. Had two phone's screens cracked in same week. Filed the claims via the app. Later that day scheduled a repair for one phone and the other a replacement. I never really biy warranties, but for the phones SquareTrade has worked out great.
