Great for android devices if you've changed from apple operating systems as I have dumped the iPhone which had squeezepad installed to control my squeezebox touch remotely. It worked fine but its not available for android platforms. For a small fee, the ads are gone and full features are installed and my full music library is accessible. All features that the squeezepad or ipeng offered appear to be the same so far.
This is the best looking interface I have tried. The only thing I had to do was put in the IP address of my Synology NAS. Seems to run fine, l have not been experiencing issues that others have been discussing in the reviews.
This app is just amazing. Was so easy to setup and some great features. I'm using it with the original Logitech SqueezeBox Radio. But I'm getting ready to build a Raspberry Pi streaming device and use this app to control it. Very Happy with this App.
Excellent. The layout is much faster and easier to use than the competition. As a suggestion, full compatibilty with Android/Google TV would be most welcome.
Hard to review. It wont connect. My ip is allocated to SBS from my phone via hotspot. I have yherefor yo keep wifi off despite selecting ignore wifi state the ip is not found. My srtup works fine with squeezer. Menu layput seemed ok. I wojld really like to be able to review it more throughly vut on what o see yhe mos i feel it deserves for my setup is 1 as it is not usable.
. The issue mentioned below is really not hard to debug. My emails were clear in where the problem was and included log but months have gone by and Lars/developer didn't reply to emails and yet he says to send him an email. HAA! Very disapponting.
I paid for this app and it worked wonderfully until they stopped updating. Now it won't connect to the server. It asks for the ISP and I enter it, but it still doesn't work.
Most user friendly alternative squeezebox player! Volume easy accessible , logical interface. At last a good alternative player on my newer androids, Many Thanks
Terrific app. This is the one to buy. Installed and found my server and squeezebox touch without any effort on my part. This is a good deal. Wish there was an IOS for my tablet.
Worked straight out of the box. Would like to be able to use playlists stored in my library too. Where can I find the support community? I have created a playlist in the app but then can't find it?
Didn't work for me. It lost connection and needed restart. Didn't show albums. I paid but uninstalled.
A really good app for picoreplayer and also controls Tidal playback. Works as it should. 👍
Says it controls Squeezebox player but doesn't. Needs Media Servers, should update description
Works ok apart from it wont let me play hardrive on my streamer, connects to Tidal and my NAS ok.
Brilliant! Easy to use, fast, simple, great value!
Worse than bad. Only lists 50 entries... and then ?
Connects to player but does not play.
Just tried again. Takes some learning, but so far this is the best Squeezebox remote on android. 2020 and Squeezebox family still going strong and working awesome! Thank you so much!
I highly prefer this app for controlling my squeezebox. Besides that, when I had a little problem with showing artwork in the trial version, Lars was very helpfull. The problem was solved within a few mails that same day. The firewall of my NAS was blocking a port, which I was not aware off. Afterwards, I bought the full version. Lars, keep on the good job making this app better and better. :-)
I liked that this app autodetected my server. I don't like that the free version has very poor volume controls - only by going into the settings did I learn that the phone's volume buttons are used.
This is not a squeezebox controller: it does not connect to a Squeezebox, but only to the same server as a Squeezebox would.
I have the paid version. The app works, and it also has some nice features and looks promising. However, I miss some basics: album browser without selecting the artist first, basic controls when playing (only pause, next available), the album cover display should be the default view when playing (it is only accessible via a deep menu), access from playing song to the current album does not work (should be easy to see the current song in the context of the album or playlist). So I am looking forward for the next updates.
@Lars pls post video how this works; is server my computer I must turn on?Not sure what this app is suppose to do but was looking for replacement for now defunct Logitech Squeezebox Controller. However this app keeps saying cannot connect to media server and if you go into settings, it'll ask for IP whatever that means.
Trial version works great. Will run it for a few more days and if no problems will then upgrade to full version which is very reasonably priced.
Doesn't have user/password option req by my server. EDIT: It keeps cycling between the server address and the next screen (unfortunately I uninstalled the app and can't give more details).
It worked for me. The first one to do so after having tried several.
Pretty good. Downloaded this to see if it was better than the app I currently use to control my Squeezebox receivers as it sometimes loses connection to the LMS. Overall, Squeeze Controller was good. It connected immediately to my LMS after automatically discovering it. But it didn't show the artwork while songs were playing, which seems quite basic, so sticking with my other app for now.
