The app is very easy to use, but the functionality is really limited if you haven't gotten a physio to set it up in Professional mode. The longest time for holding the squeeze is 10 seconds in normal mode. You'd get more functionality out of a tabata timer app where you could set up sets of exercises.
This app is helpful for timing the exercises themselves, but the reminders/notifications are completely useless as they don't remind at the right times, and don't work at all half the time (especially if you miss an exercise session because it hasn't reminded you at the right time!). Not great for a paid app even though it was recommended by my midwife.
I really like how you can set reminders, select how many fast/slow exercises to do in each session, the interface of the app is simple. What's really annoying is that for some reason the reminders have just stopped working, even if i go into the app and 'turn them off and on again". So great to begin with but now annoying how its stopped reminding me even though reminders are set.
I was really sceptical about this app when I first heard about it & thought it wouldn't be necessary & all I needed to do was set reminders on my phone. I was wrong! It is great. It gives good guidelines how to do the exercises correctly, is useful keeping a log & of course reminders when to do them. My only criticism is when I got a new phone I couldn't see a way it would save my exercise log, so have lost two months of data!
Decided to go for it and downloaded this app and I'm not disappointed. Yes, you could set your alarm etc as per other reviews but I don't want the hassle of counting 10 lots of 10 second squeezes with a 10 second rest! Having the app has made it easier for me to keep up with the exercises. Simple to use, explanations to make sure your doing it right and a simple tracker to help make sure you complete your planned sessions. Setting up push notifications was easy and FAQ to help. Love it!
This app was recommended by my Dr. and would be very good if users had more control over settings. Its reminder feature doesn't run on time.... is always a few minutes off the schedule. The most frustrating thing is the reminder sound, which is the same as any incoming text or phone message. It really needs it's own alert sound. Otherwise a good app.
i purchased this app on my women's health physiotherapist's recommendation. can't believe I paid for it... i like the design of the first page. the other pages aren't good. the reminders disappear after a while which makes them useless. no option to edit entries once submitted. the percentage shown of completion of exercises is confusing. wouldn't buy again.
With this app I now actually do my homework set by my physio! It's great to have the reminders and it was easy to enter the plan set by my physio. The only thing I would change is the colour of the word to match the symbol when doing the quick exercises. To start with I found it confusing with the word being in blue and the symbol being in orange. Having them colour coordinated would cause my little brain less confusion. However, that's just a minor thing. All in all a great app. Highly recommend
Not just for women! Although the in-app notes say that it is an app for women it is great for men in the lead up to and post a prostatectomy. I didn't know about it until post-op but think my pre-op pelvic floor exercises would have been less haphazard than they were if I had had this app then. Although it sounds simple to just get on with pelvic floor exercises it is surprising how easy it is to forget them when busy. This app reminds you to do the exercises and guides you through them.
This app really helped me build up the strength in my pelvic floor. My muscles have really kicked in. It takes 8wks of continuous exercises for the muscles to this! But now they have, it is easier to do. I can never remember without this app. It is so clever how it does the countdown.....you can do it anytime, anywhere! And no-one knows that you done it!!!
I was finding this app really useful until the reminders went haywire. It beeps all the time if I don't do the exercises straight away even though I've checked that snooze isn't on. I've forced stop, reinstalled and contacted the app creators three times. They've sent me reference numbers to show they've received my emails. No help from them at all. I've got a Samsung 8 phone, so nothing unusual. Updates are done. The constant beeps every 3 or 4 minutes are driving me and everyone around mad.
Much easier to use this app than to try to remember to do exercises yourself. I like that you can set the exercises to sound or vibrate so that you can do other stuff at the same time eg watch TV. Tiny bit buggy and I wish the app would let you do the exercises through a notification rather than needing to have the app open the whole time but these are minor niggles.
I want to be able to use other apps while the timer continues and the sound continues. At the moment it pauses when you try to browse other apps or pages. Very annoying given that any other timer or sound related app would normally continue in the background. Other than this I like thethe reminders. I have been using it and seen an improvement.
I bought this app for the reminders (push notifications), but for some reason they don't work on my phone. I've tried looking at settings both on my phone and in the app, bit nothing works. I've also tried to change the times for the reminders, but they keep changing back to the initial setting.
The reminders were really useful, would not remember to do the exercises otherwise! The timers are also reassuring so you know you've done enough. Would like to see more advice and variation in what types of pelvic floor tucks you could do, is only negative, but I am more than happy to support NHS and found it great value and most of all, effective!
I really like the purpose of this app and downloaded it to get reminders to do my pelvic floor exercises as I kept forgetting. unfortunately I have been really disappointed to find that the notifications are inconsistent. I realise frequently that I haven't had notifications for a few days and when i check the settings everything is ok. Please sort it out! It's the primary purpose and it wasn't a free app...
Was recommended the app to help with a prolapse. It has improved my bladder leakage when sneezing and coughing etc and only been using it for a month. I found it difficult to hold the squeeze for the full duration to start with but could feel the gradual improvement to where I can now hold for that long. I'f you are having issues with leaking when you cough or sneeze etc then it's definitely worth giving this a go.
Not as good as I had hoped! I paid for this app as I wanted to be reminded to do the exercises but it's very hit and miss whether the app will actually send a notification so sometimes I don't do 3 in a day. Since my phone has updated the vibrate option on the exercise part has stopped working so I have to play sound.
Really useful! I needed something to help my pelvic floor I find this app really helpful. It reminds me and lets me set up my own squeezes. I don't think you can use it in the background but the slow and then faster exercises take about 5 minutes and the ticks (sounds) and buzzes are good.
Great to have reminders to do the exercises, otherwise I would just forget. Can set how long each exercise lasts and how many you want to do, and whatever times suit your lifestyle and if you miss a set time can catch up at anytime. Like how it lists how many you have done in a day. Would recommend this app.
Really helpful post childbirth, I wish this had been available when I was much younger, everyone should be taught about pelvic floor muscles from a young age. Good customisation, I was able to take advice from a physio as to the correct settings for me and change them in-app.
Good idea but app needs updating. Some days I get no reminders, other days my first reminder is 9pm in the evening. I have a busy life and I absolutely forget to do my exercises unless I am reminded. It was great at the start but now it's useless as I have had to set alarms on my phone. Totally defeats the purpose for me.
Finally I'm actually doing my pelvic floor exercises like I'm supposed to be - regularly and consistently. They're explained really well in the app so I feel I'm doing them effectively too, and there's a graphic of a sort of shrinking/expanding droplet that is inexplicably really helpful when doing the exercises! I've been meaning to do these exercises for over 2.5 years since my son was born and I've only started doing them since getting this app.
Simple but useful. The only complaint I have is, on the exercise records page, the headings with blue backgrounds (which i assume are week headings) show dates which do not correspond to the week in question. Today the latest week shows "10/02/2020 - 23/02/2020", and the previous week shows "17/02/2020 - 01/03/2020". The dates on individual days seem to be correct.
Dots good but sometimes doesn't record things properly which is frustrating. It can bring you in for some reason at the wrong point of the exercises and if you do a quick one before you do the slow ones it doesn't give you the option to do the one you missed but why does it sometimes go straight to the quick ones unless you click out of the exercises and go back in from the main menu.
Exercise reminders have stopped 😒 For me the reminders are a must. Now they are not working I'm missing exercises. Considering the app is paid for, I don't think this is acceptable. After contacting the app developers they replied really quickly and offered a fix. It seems it was something to do with my phone settings and not the app Applied the fix and happy to report app is reminding me as it should do. It did however get a bit confused when the clocks went forward but I was able to trick it back into reminding me at the time I want it to. Great little app 😊
