I have some issues: 1. At Alarm Setting, Motion Detect, the Scale is inconsistent, it say "the most sensitive is "0". but if you press the button "+" it goes up to 6. so which way it is ? 2. it is not possible to erase some of the recorded files, which should it be very useful. 3. A recorded file can't be saved nor exported. 4. the infrared LEDs should be able to switch it off, because when a CAM is close to a window, the LEDs reflects and blind it. 28 May 2020, still the same issues.
Cam is great quality. Setup is fairly easy and the software install was also easy. was quite happy with it yesterday although the playback is slow, you want to click into the middle of a video it takes a while to load. today I am trying to connect, was just stuck on loading with the loading option spinning around. Tired botb Wifi and 4G. it seems closed, phone restarted etc. it amazing came on earlier but have tried to get on again, and issues reoccurring. Not impressed to be honest.
The app is pretty decent an easy to use. One gripe is the notification sound is separate from the phone notification sound, and it can't be changed. I end up with 2 noises. The app notification sound is always on, even when the phone is on silent. Please sort out the notification sound. Cloud storage option would be good as well.
Just bought an IP camera off Amazon by iegeek and was linked to this app. Set up was a breeze and all the functions work well. If you're having trouble connecting through iOS and Android then make sure you are not on the same LAN network as the IP camera as this causes the android and iOS apps to time out or display a black screen, it's best to access the cams on 4G or a WiFi network that's not your own!!!
I've had this app and cam for years across a few different phones. It doesn't record anymore, only sometimes connects, and is very unreliable. If not for these quirks it would be fantastic! But if you can't even record like you're supposed to what's the point?
Wifi instructions wouldn't work despite separating my broadband from dual bands (2.4 and 5). In the end the correct fix was to hard wire the camera to the broadband to get a connection and then switch it to wireless using the app. Works perfectly now. Be nice to see these instructions as an option to test during connection.
It works but software a bit non functional in areas. Volume is not adjusted in settings, and although I have it at nil when camera is on I still here stuff. When deleting photo shots I have to view then go back to gallery to delete just one shot, not mark several to delete all at once. I set record [o 1 mins but it will record for 8, 22, 35 whatever so playback is realtime
Bad product with bad support Sent them an email its been a week without reply. I actually need to enter the application all the time so the motion detection works. How funny is that? I updated it to the last firmware, still it doesn't work. Seems the application goes offline when I close the application event hough I have allowed the background data on. What a waste
Never had an issue until this recent update you put out. Its keeps picking up a network connection error so i can't access any video or even check on the cameras. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling is useless that doesnt work the problem still persists. Had these cams a good amount of years and no issue what so ever until now. Fix this problem as soon as possible
Accessing camera over WiFi is worst. specially when camera and mobile both are on same network. how can someone see videos if you can not connect to camera. another issue is camera need to reset again and again if WiFi network not available for a day or more. this is very tough when camera are hanging on outside wall. even many times configuring camera with mobile over wifi is not working and if u one try with LAN cable, WiFi is not configured always. in short not good product to spend money.
I have 2 of these cameras. Biggest issue is I cannot view both cameras at the same time. But until recently - everytime I log into a different app, the other one disconnects which is such a problem when my wife and I are both randomly looking into the app to check on our boys. Sort it out please. Bring back ability to view on multiple devices
Would give zero stars if poss. Support email bounced. Then received a link from another email account to update password. This expired before I got it! App simply doesn't work, just keeps asking to change password. Have done numerous times but the app refuses to accept despite using the exactly naming convention suggested. So can't even get to use the app. App also doesn't leave a quick access icon on screen. Have to keep going back to the play store to find it. POOR SUPPORT AVOID.
So after I upgraded by installing the new 1080p cameras, I hate the new ones. They CONSTANTLY are making clicking noises EVERY time my TV brightness causes the infrared to turn on and I HATE IT!! The old 720p cameras would only attempt to read or be on if the app was open and running on a device OR if I had the alarm on. NOW they are on just because and after 5pm they are constantly trying to switch between infrared mode! UPDATE THE NEW CAMERAS PLEASE!!
Used to work fine. Desktop works ok but I need this app working. Desktop app seems to work OK but the android app keeps on giving me error messages. Network error, or when I finally connect the android app, it times out. Come on Sricam get your app working please!!! These are affordable cameras but I'd prefer to actually be able to use the app!!! Yes I have reset cameras, reset routers, uninstall and reinstall the app!!! Still same issue
I was hoping these cameras and app would be a step up from a Piper camera I have. I've been duped! Being a tech person, this is the worst setup ever. Never ending network errors & have to force close app just to get one feature working again. I fear I wasted my time and $! And what's with the permissions being requested anyway, some dont have anything to do with the app.
i have tried a few low cost ipcam systems and sricam seems to the better. However, the app on Android pie has a super annoying problem..when you switch apps on your phone then go back to sricam app.. the sricam app can no longer display any cameras. you have to quit out of the the sricam app and restart it to get the cameras back again. ..very annoying.
It's a good camera and with a few tweaks would be great. If you could keep the video stream open in a smaller screen on your phone while using other apps so I can still keep an eye on the video feed while using my phone that would be amazing!! Other than that 👍🏻
Our cctv camera suddenly can't connect to wifi. The camera is in good condition. But one time, the cctv alarmed and yet it cannot connect to any wifi or wireless connection. I tried directly connecting it to wifi cable and works fine. But in wifi connection, it is always said "Operation Failed"
I've got two sricam camera's,they both work perfectly, the night vision is amazing. The app has worked absolutely fine and has a lot of functions. I use the app to view the camera's several times a day and have done so for about six weeks. Highly recommend.!!!! Quick update, I now have three camera's,all work perfectly,as does the app. Just linked camera 3 to the internet and changed to a secure password within about 5 minutes of unpacking the camera.
It took me a really long and frustrating day to connect the iegeek ip camera but since i eventually managed this it has stayed connected. The app has some downsides. If you close it to use another app you have to do a "hard close" to get it to work again when you go back to it. It sometimes freezes the image or pixelates if things move too quickly but 95 % of the time you get a good,useful image. It seems to use a ridiculous amount of mobile data, even though I have a good wifi connection.
