I love the pay as you go service, wish I had switched over sooner. Now, for this updated version, I don't have. I think it will update to newer version when it's time. Tried to uninstall them minutes later, reinstall, but still old version I have. No more trips to a pay center, that I'm happy about.
No longer notifies you of anything, which almost had disastrous consequences because medical devices turned off while I was out of the home. I thought it was a fluke last time and that I got it working again, but it seems to disconnect when your power runs low, so you just have to check constantly and cannot trust the app at all.
I am not a fan of this app at all! After getting a little behind on our monthly bill we switch to mpower which was supposed to make life a little bit easier, and I did but it didn't. It's wonderful that they allow you to pay off an accrued debt through mpower, however the app has a lot of glitches that may charge you multiple times when you only hit submit once. this the current issue we have right now. Hit submit one time, and it charged me five times! No power at all for a week now!
It is convenient to not have to go to the store at the most inopportune times when the box starts beeping( like when your cooking dinner, or giving both kids a shower) I love that... but I agree with what everyone is saying about the incorrect information it gives. I had 1.50 left on the box and the app said I have 4.50. I guess I just take off $5 everytime I look at the app??
Can make it easy to make a payment. Down side is the payment is in check form and takes a while to post to your bank which brings up it to potentially bounce. Should that happen you're charged at least $35 if not double that in fees before you can reinstate power. Then, you get locked out of paying VIA mobile app for 12 months as if the fines weren't enough. Frustrating to say the least.
When making purchases the payment doesn't go thru and causes an outage. I have to keep putting codes to the M power box wich is so difficult because the box keeps giving error mensage because there is no power! App is supposed to alert when credit is getting low, it rarely ever does and when it does, it is incorrect information. This app is not reliable at all.
SRP is easy to use and access to customer support is always available. SRP is a 10/10 for me!
This app is absolutely supercalifragilistic awesome. I have lived in my apartment for almost 3 years. I don't even know where my mpower card is. I do everything through the app. It's quick. The credit show up on your box within a couple minutes. I highly highly recommend this
More and more stable every update. However when you make a purchase there is no double prompt for the amount. It would be very easy to accidentally add a extra zero or two when manually entering a payment. Turning 70$ into 700$ or 7000$ It didn't happen to me, but will happen to someone eventually.
Works well. Extremely convenient. No need to make a trip to a pay location anymore. UPDATE: SRP changed the font settings for their latest update to this app. I had to play with the phone display settings to get the font size in the app back to normal.
The new app is not showing how many days remain nor does it show the amount. It's also not showing how many days r left. Very unhappy with the new update. I send a screen shot to srp and all they said was to Uninstall it and reinstall. No difference. It's the same.
Some of the text fields have unintended side effects, more details need to be shown for the owed balance (is it pay first, is it paid at 35%, etc.), Not enough details in the transactions area, pop up modal on purchases needs to be updated to reflect proper amount being sent to meter vs what SRP is taking. Very poor app that is only used because I don't have a choice.
Excellent site. Never any problems. It doesn't take the funds from your account immediately but I just make sure I have that money in there when they withdraw 2-3 days later. Other than that, easy to navigate, easy to add bank account (set-up), and great customer service from SRP. I give it 5 stars for making my life easier. Edit: if your phone doesn't have the current version or cache is full (phone has no memory available), the app WILL NOT work properly. Removing pix helps too.
It's alright. Putting money on your srp box is nice but the amount left is NEVER accurate. It's extremely frustrating and annoying. It also sometimes doesn't even work. Neither does the website. The box itself always says ERROR so you have to press the button a million times to show the the accurate amount.
Who uses checks to make bill payments? Take my visa/debt number all day. 2-5 day processing is stupid, waste of time and money when or if you get hit with return check fee of $18 plus the amount you requested. Its almost like y'all banked on this happening! Uninstalled....oh and how convenient I attempt to send a poor review via in app and it errors.
This app is designed by an ape. It hardly ever functions properly. Usually, it stays loading for 5 minutes before timing out and giving me an error message. It might actually be easier to drive down to the M-Power machine. If I had to summarize this app as briefly as possible, I'd just say: "Cancer."
Great app, beats having to go to a pay a center!! would have given 5 start, but the notifications are not working properly!! I have it set up to notify when there are 3 days of power remaining, and it used notify, now it doesn't any more! please fix!
I can't use the M-Power app anymore. I downloaded the app onto my brand new phone. The initial loading screen is fine. But when the app goes to the login screen, the app starts jumping around and won't let me do anything with it besides forcing it to close. I'm disappointed because I've always liked the app before.
Adding credit is easier and I love that. However, the app gives you the remaining balance as of midnight...not a real-time view. So no....I dont like it. I still have to check the box for how much credit is actually remaining.
This app is garbage. It's always breaking down when I am almost out of power and I am disabled and getting to a pay center is nearly impossible, so I depend on the app. Of course there is no info about the issue that's going on right now with the app. They just leave you twisting in the wind
I thought this was going to be great, but is not. If you miss one number in your routing or your bank account it wont let you know. I found out the hard way. Now not only do I have to pay the $25 fee for the check bouncing but I have to pay the money I thought had been deposit to my box without issue. I would suggest using the website instead I was told you can use your debit card.
I've been using this app since it first released. I was very excited that I didn't have to go to the srp location to load money. There's been a couple of times where the app takes too long to load but I just close it and open it again and voila! It works besides I would rather close the app than get in my car and drive to a location to load up! Can't complain!
I like the app a lot. It never takes more than a day or two for money to hit my account but the credit is added almost instantly. It's 100 times more convenient than going to the machines. Anyone who says that they prefer to do that, be my guest. I don't think there's more to ask of this app than it already does. very satisfied.
When the app works its convenient. Get signed out alot, it does not have accurate readings some times dollars off, and the app glitches when it wont let you sign in it stays at the sign in page saying its loading over and over again. Again appis useful when it works. Would.love for SRP to fix but known issues for awhile and no repairs.
The app would be wonderful if it functioned properly. I live in a house with four other roommates, and we were excited to be able to pay with the app instead of having to take a trip to a store to pay with cash. However, we have had two instances now where our funds have been denied--but our bank information is correct in the app. We called, and SRP said our information wasn't correct, which is why the funds were denied. They said they were unable to help us, and now we owe even more because of extra charges they placed on our account due to denied funds. So now we are forced to pay with cash. Very disappointing and inconvenient.
As an app user, I'm really disappointed. The app constantly crashes or takes minutes to load if I'm lucky it doesn't time out. Every toggle is a nightmare. I'll stick with the pay center.
Waited a long time for this app, making life much easier for those of us who want to see actual use IRT. Big drawback is that folks suffering any form of consequences from economic downturn or experiencing financial issues may be shut out for not having checking accounts; the ability to pay with a card of some kind should be there (debit cards are generally acceptable for use everywhere electronic payments are available and are a legitimate, widely-used form of tender exchange. Electronic forms of delivery should make everyone's life easier, not just those who can afford it. UPDATE: SRP has indicated it's possible to participate in the SHARE program, which is separate from app, which is great! But this is a feature that should be built into the app making it even easier for those who want to help. The results would be that SRP gets a social facelift and more funds come in for those in need, a true win-win.
Instead of contacting me and letting me know a payment didn't go through which it should have because I had the funds, SRP charged me up to $50 in fees and then locked the app so I couldn't load money from my bank account, I had to go to a store and put cash in just for them to charge me $19.49 and put .33 cents on my box. MIND YOU, this is the first time it has ever happened. So thanks for the courtesy call and help SRP.... NOT!!! And customer service was not helpful or friendly.
Not accurate at all. app would say i have $15 but checking the actual meter there was only $5. Thats a big difference.Have had nothing but problems since using this new system. thinking about just switching to a regular light bill.
Previous versions were easy to use however with the newest version, everytime I open the app it tells me my device is offline, which it isn't. I cannot view my usage or purchase more power. This is a hassle as there doesn't seem to be any way to fix this except reinstalling which I've had to do multiple times already. It's useless to me now. UPDATE: App only works while Wi-Fi is off...
