I love the app. It's easy to use thanks to it's straightforward UI, works as expected, shows last execution time. The only missing things are: Button categories, SSH log (show logs from what buttons do for debug AND allow the buttons to execute something as a debug command with a checkbox), newer design
Easy to use, works as expected. Would be nice to have a feature to support categories for the buttons, so not all would appear in a widget. Thanks for developing, I use it daily.
This was a simple and effective solution to my need for an easier way to start and stop an audio stream from my server. I wasn't sure this would work given the "immediate return" requirement - I am using a program that outputs audio until you control-c - but I was able to quickly create one button that runs a nohup [name] command and a second that runs a killall [name].
So good! My only suggestion would be to allow reordering the buttons by dragging them. Superb! David, thank you for responding. I had tried that, it just opens the properties. UPDATE: drag them quickly, don't hold, that worked
I love it, it does what it says it does, has a great widget, easy to use, fully functioned. The only further function I could ask for would be a wake on lan function, just to reduce the number of apps I need to manage my server.
It works just fine (as in "fine" wine). I'm not sure how secure the password storage is, though. Maybe the developer can talk about this in the description. Thank you very much for this helpful app. The interface has room for improvement, but it works just as well as it is.
I ended up having to look for a replacement for Script Kitty, since it is no longer maintained/available and uses kex methods not supported by recent openssh builds. This app delivers everything I need, which isn't much. Do one thing well!
It's perfect, Lightweight, Simple interface, ect. What is miss is an option to export all the buttons to another device, say a tablet or an new phone.
Wonderful! So simple! I just wanted to activate-deactivate VPN connections at my router, and it works like a charm. I would have loved to donate or pay something for this, but I don't see how.
Nice, have been using it since a year, only problem, if ssh server is reconfigured with new keys, app does not connect until phone is rebooted. Probably turning off the StrictHostKeyChecking might help here.
5 stars. Says it all really. Cracking app. Does exactly as it says. Setup a button with SSH parameters, User name, Password, IP or Computer name, Command you want to run. Bosh! works. 1 really nice addition would be to have the option to create a shortcut on the desktop to the run the command, then you wouldn't even need to open the app. Top Job Sir.
This app works perfectly. I use it to send wake on lan commands to a raspberry pi and wake my PC. I would love it more if I could get tasker to work with this app.
Great app to remotely send commands to Linux machines, Raspberry Pi. May I suggest the button to display a spinning wheel while the button waits for the machine to return to prompt. And also add a cancel button to stop the wait. Thanks.
Simple & functional. Works as described. Wish it had a (toast) notification for starting/running. Background commands (&) work, but do not show a status.
Documentation could be better, but otherwise it's excellent. For those who needs to debug, try use a real SSH client to do so. For example: ssh [email protected] "/sbin/shutdown -h now". In my case, it's the target Linux Mint who refused to be shutdown without an interactive authentication
I love this app for its simplicity. It would be great to be able to customize the background colour from the blue to something else.
Just brilliant. I use it for simple things like rebooting the home router and it's so convenient.
This is the greatest such app I am aware of. I hope you'll be able to update it, the last one is from 2017. Not sure how much longer people will be using it if they consider the app unsafe.
Brilliant app that can create a quick simple command to my Asus Merlin WRT router. The developer is very responsive too. Thanks for creating such a simple yet powerful app
Some more information regarding the private key would be nice. I tried the id_rsa format generated from ssh-keygen on linux. And also .ppk putty key file. Both give the "invalid private key" error.
Only widget is huge. Not just a button. Private key cannot be unlocked.
I was hoping that something that did exactly this existed for use, and this one does it quite intuitively.
Perfect tool for those who understand basic SSH. Low stars ratings from people that don't understand the tool or syntax. Fabulous niche tool. Does what it says without distraction.
Just what I needed to control my Asus router. It works a treat, and widgets are the icing on the cake. Thanks!
Added command, checked configuration several times over, app just responds with "Returncode 1". I'll update my review if there is a solution or I am missing something. Update: added /usr/bin to sudo, still no luck. Command is: /usr/bin/sudo shutdown -h now
All I get is a socket timeout exception. I change length of time same story. Any other ssh client I try just works. Disappointing.
great! It will be better if it has import and export for backup function
For some reason, ssh keys fail to authenticate. Otherwise its a perfect and a great app
Excellent app. I use this to manage my Ark game server and so my friend can turn it on and off as required. Would be nice if there was a way to return a short simple message back to the app to be used to check and verify service status for example. e.g. "Service is stopped" or "Service is running" etc. Also perhaps a button clone feature would be good. Otherwise great app. Highly recommended.
