The app has been working fine for years until 2 days ago when Android updated. It's telling me my phone is rooted so certain features are blocked... Um, NO, my phone is not, nor has never been rooted or altered in any way. This app however, has not had an update since earlier this year, 2+ Android official updates ago... No other bank or website had this issue. I've wiped data, cleared cache, factory reset, thinking my phone was the problem but it seems to be an app specific issue.
The app has been working great for years but now it just shows a blue screen and won't load the log in screen. I reset the app several times and I could finally log in. Now every time I try to deposit a check it times me out. I also do not live near any SMCU branches so this is a problem for me.
The worst banking app ever. I've had the app for about two months and I've needed to answer two security questions every single login. My phone autofills the security questions at this point, so I've had to change them twice to try and keep them secure. The fingerprint Id only works about half the time, and even when it does you still have to answer the security questions. I've called customer service and there is nothing they can do about it. I am going to switch banks.
Does its job and it's easy to use. I was contacted directly by the dev to discuss the issue with the app requiring security questions to be answered every time, and they were very helpful. Whatever the problem was, it's gone. Security questions only come up on occasion now. Thank you for your help!
Yeah no, can't log in at all and it only gave me one try before locking me out. And there was no communication that the app was even changing! I had to call and ask someone who was clearly getting this call a lot to find out. Bad app, developers.
Lately the app crashes when trying to mobile deposit a check. I've tried force stop and uninstalling / reinstalling the app. That did not fix the problem.
So not user-friendly. Depending on how you rotate, your options and menus get hidden.
Can you please fix this app? The login page never comes up. I don't live close to any smcu branches anymore, so I can't deposit checks. I'd rather not have to find a new bank☹ Ok so now I can login but when I press the make deposit button it says my session timed out
Excessive navigation. Clumsy. Had to update Android to latest version to enable fast balances feature.
The app is not working. I try to update and it just continues to spin. It was working fine before it needed to update.
can't run the app! it doesn't load after I login, i don't live near this bank anymore and need access to my account please!
my phone already has a screen lock, why does the app make me answer security questions every login, at least let us turn that off no one is getting into my phone

When you open the app, you see a solid blue screen with the logo on it. That is all.
I can't log on unless I update the app. Click update and I just get a spinning Circle. Spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning....

Could not open the app once I downloaded it. New Android 5 G phone. Deleted it.

it will not let me log into my account even with correct info. this is dangerous because i could b a victim of identity theft without knowing cuz i cant see my accounts.

I wouldn't know I had fraud two an a half years ago ihad three new phones but I don't live that close to hidson anymore or marblow clinton is where I stay an plan on staying in a different place mine!! My baby too
Frustrating, i cant log in to my account.
When I clicked on SMCU logo in my phone, the message I got was to update the app before trying to go further. I clicked on update and have been waiting for the app to stop circling before I can click on open. It doesn't want to connect. I do not live close to any of the branches and the mobile app would have been a convenient way to check my account information. The app has finally given me the open update, but it's frustrating when apps refuse to work, initially.
