St. Pio Novena Prayers
We should know more about our saints. To know more about their life devotions and see how deep their faith is in Christ.
Our app is a humble attempt to assist those to further know our saint, specifically Saint Padre Pio.
St. Padre Pio was an Italian priest who was known for his piety and charity, as well as the gift of the stigmata, which has never been explained.
On September 20 in the year 1918, while hearing confessions, Padre Pio had his first occurrence of the stigmata, which included bodily marks, pain, and bleeding in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ. This phenomenon continued for fifty years, until the end of his life.
The blood flowing from the stigmata smelled of perfume or flowers, a phenomenon mentioned in stories of the lives of several saints and often referred to as the odour of sanctity. Though Padre Pio said he would have preferred to suffer in secret, by early 1919, news about the stigmatic friar began to spread in the secular world.
Padre Pio became internationally famous and was known for his piety, charity and the quality of his preaching. He famously advised, "Pray, hope and don't worry."
Pope John Paul II recognized Padre Pio as a saint on 16th June 2002. His feast day is September 23 and he is the patron of civil defense volunteers, adolescents, and the village of Pietrelcina.

All in the hopes to further aid all Christians to know more about our dearest saints.

difficulty in reading. there were some typographical errors which will make you stop & think what the right words are. the prayers written on white background is fine, but it is not for the entire prayer. so towards the end of the prayer, it's unreadable. you have to strain your eyes in order to read the last part of the prayer.
It is very sad that the novena prayers are incomplete. Please do something to improve so we can also finish our prayer to Sto. Padre Pio.
It is difficult to read the words when it reaches the end. I hope you will improve this as what you have been telling before from the previous reviews. There were complaints already since 2019 and yet nothing was done about it.
Maneuvering within the app is not easy. Works sporadically.

Android bugginess fix? I may have stumbled on to why my St Pio android app was so buggy and often had trouble starting: somehow the app settings denied permission to access storage. I toggled setting to 'allow' and problem with app hanging cleared. To fix: 'long press' on app icon 2 sec, then app info, then permissions, then 'allow access to storage', then restart app. Hope this helps. (This was from my samsung note 9, running Android ver10)
